"Excellent hotel could not wish for anything bette."
Booking a hotel on the Internet is like a lottery but with Sedona Rouge we feel we got the winning ticket. Reasonable price very friendly & helpful staff, lovely room and very nice touches.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Awful- not a resort"
I stayed here planning to enjoy a restful night in Sedona. I had to find someone to place an order by the pool. The hotel was loud and pool needed to be refinished. Went upstairs to see view, furniture was stacked and bar was closed, it was 7 at night. Not relaxing- couldn't get out fast enough!Genuine Expedia guest review
"LOVED THIS PLACE!!!"
Great all around. I will be going back every time I'm in Sedona.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Delightful stay, comfortable, very nice room"
Came to Sedona during the Slide Fire and were cancelled out of our original resort. Scouted options and found Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa. Found it to be delightful, comfortable, with good service. Not taken with the hotel restaurant, except for breakfast. Pool an jacuzzi were most relaxing in the evening. Delightful stay. Would recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Sedona during the fires"
Despite the fires in the Sedona area and the air quality and smokey skies we had a great time! The Sedona Rouge is a nice quality property with a few very nice touches. We were given a voucher for a free appetizer from Reds Restaurant both nights. We also had bed turndown service with chocolates and that was quite a nice surprise too. The pool area […] was very nice and although we did not use it, the next time we are Spa bound! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The Sedona rouge was a great location for all the sites we wanted to see on our visit. The room was comfortable and staff very friendly and helpfulGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not quite worth the high price"
I cannot say that this hotel disappointed me. They were great and did what a hotel should do. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amenable to all my requests, which were one in total. My message largely is that there is no way that the price is justified by what I received. My daily rate was high, and after paying an additional […] resort fee I should have received a resort. This hotel is most assuredly not a resort. I would rate this hotel comparable to a Holiday Inn Express, with a bit better bedding and a masseuse in an adjoining building. For the price, book another hotel. I think you will probably be happy with this hotel but I think you could get better value for a high dollar amount elsewhere. Felt nickel and dimed. E.g. If I'm charged a 'resort fee' which claims to include wifi in the room I'd expect it to be fast, not having to go to the bar to download. Reds was nice to eat inGenuine Expedia guest review
Embarrassed about all the "added expenses" that were not mentioned in the initial booking. Thought I had paid everything in advance and then they said we owed $20 a night for "resort fees" (which was required) and an additional $200.00 put as a hold on our card in case anything were damaged. Seemed penny pinching for such a supposed upscale facility. […] Would not stay there again. Otherwise, the staff and facility were just fine. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Nothing special if you are not planning to use the spa. We did not so we can't rate that service .Staff were nice and helpful. About 3 bulbs were out in the room. Perhaps a little pricey for a first floor room Under the staircase. They are going for Resort, but don't really make it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely hotel for the price"
While I wouldn't necessarily think of the Sedona Rouge as a spa destination hotel, it certainly was a very nice hotel especially for the price. First class service all around, very clean rooms and common areas, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend a stay here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
First, this hotel was advertised at $199 but during booking turned out to be $239 for the date I wanted. Ok, there is a disconnect between the ad bit and reality. Then adding a second person sent the price to $269. That's steep for a second person, but whatever. Then on checkout I'm notified that the hotel charges an unexplained $19 "additional fee." […] Which turned out to be a $21.50 "resort fee," as I was checking out. So the $199 room turned into a $300 room. How much cognitive dissonance am I expected to go through in order to accept a hotel room next to a Safeway, without a view, and on the main drag? The facilities and room accoutrements were nice, and worthy of a $199 fee. I also liked the electric vehicle parking, which is the main reason I selected the place. But the Hotel and hotels.com need to reevaluate the way they represent their prices. I wine stay at Rouge again, and am not likely to trust this website again either Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We could not have found a more perfect hotel for our needs. The "Rouge" is close to everything, and in some cases, walkable. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the fact that the spa was on property. The concierge was very helpful with trip planning. One suggestion-- if you are a reader, bring a reading lamp.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel with Good Location"
The purpose of our trip was to hike, ride mountain bikes and relax. The property is located away from the congested uptown area which was nice. We were much closer to a lot of the good hiking and riding trails which was also a plus. The spa was fantastic and the staff was always attentive.Genuine Expedia guest review
If you are looking for a nice hotel that won't break the bank and is in a good location away from the hustle and bustle of touristy uptown Sedona, than this will be a good hotel for you. Yes its right smack in town on the main drag but we had no problems at all and most of the restaurants we liked were in West Sedona. Its a nice boutique hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The pictures are a little deceiving compared to the website. $230/night was definitely not priced for the money. There is nothing much to this hotel; however the alternatives in the area aren't that up to par either. I think the hotel is trying to be perceived something that it is not. Its just a little more decorative Holiday Inn. Amenities are average. […] We got the suite with the Mountain View and fireplace and it was okay. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the bathrooms. There is nothing special with the hotel and I would say it should be around $179/night hotel; however they probably benefit from the lack of competition. If I were to do it again, I would probably stay at the Hyatt. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel off of 89A...close to downtown Sedona."
Pleasant two night stay with meals on sight. Though close to 89A, there was no sound of traffic going by.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Loved the hotel"
The views from the hotel were wonderful...the bed was very comfortable and the shower (with the raishower head) was awesome. We ate at Red's a few times and the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Would definitely go back. The staff at both the hotel and restaruant went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just outside the uptown tourist district"
Enjoyed our stay & love it that they have a small labyrinth on the property. The rooms are rather dark & could use more light. There are not enough electric outlets available for charging devices. The sheets were well worn & must request linen changes. It was nice to be just a little outside the higher traffic uptown tourist area but yet close enough […] that it only took a few min. to get there when desired. The room had 2 shower heads-traditional & a rain head on the ceiling. Desk staff was very nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We only stayed one night. Everything was very good or above. Gave service a four only because we stayed at a JW Marriott previous to staying here where service is outstanding.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overpriced, even by Sedona standards"
It is perhaps better to think of the Sedona Rouge Hotel as a tarted-up Holiday Inn rather than a luxury resort. The bed linens and bath supplies are good but not great. The rooms, however, are corporate bland - not competitive with surrounding hotels in this price range.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is very plush, the employees are very friendly and helpful, and we would recommend this to everyone who visits SedonaGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The motel was great, I just didn't appreciate the "resort fee" of $19.00 plus a tax of $2.44 that is added onto my bill when I checked out. It should be included in the original bill so that the actual price compares with the other motels in its price range.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoyable stay very relaxing"

"Quiet room with jetted tub"
Stayed in the king spa room which had a jetted tub and a nice view of the mountains. The room has multiple AC/heat systems so the rooms can be different temperatures. The room was clean and the toiletries were nice (local and aromatherapy). The staff was friendly. I would definitely go back again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Located next to a Safeway grocery store"
Hotel seemed really over priced...it was okay, but doesn't have direct views of the rocks and is located way out of town next to a strip mall. For $50 more a night, you can stay at a resort in town with gorgeous views. Disappointing.Genuine Expedia guest review
We love sedona and the Sedona Rouge Hotel! Its a perfect peaceful retreat after a hike or going into town. The restaurant, Reds, is also fantastic!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Weekend trip"
My wife and I really enjoyed the Sedona rouge hotel and spa, from the nice rooms, the pool with jacuzzi, and even the restaurant Reds. Lots of nice places to eat and shop near by. There's even a Safeway next door. We will be back for sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room Appears Unfinished"
Frist, the bathroom had a weird slab of granite, a very unfinished look. The TV, work desk, and dresser were totally misplaced. The desk was directly in front on the TV. The dresser should have been there, with the desk closer to the window. The room also had very poor lighting. And the shower head was not adjustable to our liking. Towel service is […] meager, and needs a serious upgrade for price of hotel. Noise levels both above the room and outside were not acceptable, particularly late at night!!!! "Great Service, Central Location"
Hotel room looked just like the picture on line. We had a ground floor unit which came with a small outdoor patio. Our room backed onto the heated pool and hot tub so we could walk directly from the room to the hot tub. Next door was a grocery store. We bought bread, cheese, fruit which we stored in the mini fridge. The ambiance was good . Our room […] did not have a view but there were views on the grounds and everywhere you looked in the city. "2 unpleasant surprises"
The rooms are great but the location (on main road and next to Safeway) makes it much like a roadside motel and not a "resort" and the $20 per room "resort" fee was a surprise and provided no real benefit except for 2 free water bottles. We stayed in a room facing Safeway and there are numerous rooms that face the busy highway/main road.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, but right next to Safeway"
The rooms and the hotel are excellent. Being right next to a Safeway with its large parking lot really took away from this being a true resort. Speaking of which, the resort fee of $20 per room really surprised us. The only thing meaningful that came with the resort fee was free internet (which should already be free) and two water bottles. Also, they […] offer a free small plate per room at their restaurant but make sure you get it before 6p. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Little Rouge Goes A Long Way"
Loved it. Great location. Reds restaurant was good. Service very good. Just that to charge the extra "service" charge for internet and whatever else rhat includes seems unfair as the price of the rooms are already a bit steep. So the extra stuff s/b included.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sedona in February"
We were fortunate that the sun was shining and the temps were warm during our recent escape from the Winter of 2014 (we are from Buffalo). Sedona Rouge was a lovely hotel distanced a bit from the commercial strip in Sedona. Our view was okay -- a bit concealed by trees and some houses -- but we still could gaze at a lovely red rocks view. I used the […] fitness area twice and it was clean and functional though the equipment is a bit dated. We had a late night dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed our meal (appetizers and dessert) and liked our server (who was also the bartender). We loved Sedona overall and enjoyed our time at the Sedona Rouge Hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very good hotel"
The staff is most accommodating. The rooms could be a little better cleaned. Glass tops streaky, more cups so you can enjoy coffee or tea plus a cold drink more than once a day. Room was very nice...I loved the huge shower, granite countertop and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the high ceilings and the gorgeous view of red rock! The location was perfect...in center of town. The restaurant Reds is fabulous also...contemporary decor and great food! "a little short of average"
The restaurant that is housed with the hotel was poor. I found the food to be over-priced and taste less. I would rather eat at Denny's or the thai place across the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
Didn't know what to expect about this hotel since we have stayed at Junipine before and it was more than we expected it to be the reviews we read about it were spot on. This is a very nice hotel and the service was over the top! The location was excellent as well. Will come back to this hotel again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Daily otel fee will make you see 'Sedona' red"
Did not realize when booking the hotel that there would be a daily $18.00 hotel fee. Seems they have learned from airlines that charge one $25.00 for the first check in bag. Once recovered from this charge, the unsmiling young desk attendant informed it covers wi-fi charged (even though every hotel nowadays provide free access), 2 bottes of water and […] the priviliege of ordering a small dish (just 1 a day) at the restaurant only from 4-6 pm. Since the breakfast was a mess (3 day old watermelon, cold vegetable patties) I did not feel like driving in the middle of the afternoon to taste what probably would have been leftovers.
