The room was clean, the hotel is pretty, and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The microwave, and refrigerator was important to our comfort. We found the lighting very poor for reading, and applying make-up. There was only one small trash can in the bathroom, and no chairs in the room when we arrived, but a chair was brought in when requested.

Such a quaint, comfortable country inn. That area of NJ is beautiful to begin with and the inn keepers keep the surrounding area just perfect...and the food is "OUT OF THIS WORLD" I cannot give enough positive feedback. I will go back with or without an excuse....*****
"A Great Place to Stay"
We went to the Frankie Valli show at Bushkill and opted to stay a little bit further away to take advantage of the comforts of a bed and breakfast instead of being closer in a standard motel room. What a great surprise! the Whistling Swan was everything and more than what we expected. After a long drive, we took our inn keeper's advise and had dinner […] down the street - great recommendation! We took an hour's ride to the concert and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The ride home to the Swan seemed shorter than the trip to the concert. We retreated to our room with tea and cookies, before a restful sleep in our comfortable bed. My wife sent me down to scout out breakfast and my scouting report convinced her to get out of bed (a feat not easily accomplished.) Cheese Puff Eggs and fresh bacon were the main dish along with fresh breads, home made granola, fruit salad, coffee, cereals, and to top it off - homemade waffles straight from the iron. If you put a price tag on that breakfast, then double it for both of us and subtract it from the total - the room rate is probably lower than any motel room. So not only is the Swan a wonderful Victorian resting place but it's a bargain to boot! Hats off to Liz and Happy Birthday again! Read more
