No complaints about cleanliness of the room. The heating system was old & antiquated. There was a fan that was connected to the light in the bathroom that hummed so loud I couldnt have the light on. Overall, it was bad but I wont stay there again.

The front desk staff is very friendly. The room is small but clean. It is not peak season so it is very quite. Breakfast is sufficient and free. The location is not too far from Gore( 25-30 min), will come back again for ski trip.

My friend and I stayed here for a Mommy's Weekend 11/9/12-11/11/12. We stayed in the courtyard rooms and it is overlooking the parking lot. Definitely had a motel feel rather than a resort, but the price was great, the room was clean, and it was close to outlet shopping, The Adirondack Winery for wine tasting, and the Adirondack Brewery for burgers […] and beer. Got one of the renovated rooms. Not to the standards of the big chain hotels but the rooms were very nice and clean. Front desk was friendly and helpful. They had 2 weddings going on but noise or parking wasn't an issue. Very close to town. Would like to come back in the summer to use the pool and beach.

I frequently stay all over at many different hotels and the Georgian Lakeside resort was by far my worst hotel experience. All of the staff had a poor attitude and acted bothered if asked for anything. I also was smoking a cigarette outside my room with the door open. The hotel manager was passing by and charged my card $150 fee because she claimed […] she saw the smoke drifting into the room. Great motel! Walking distance to village, great beach/pool area. Only thing was the bed was very squeaky, couldn't move without waking everyone up! Toilet ran, had to take back cover off to fix chain every time we flushed. Would defintely stay again

We were provided such a room where AC was not even working. We have to call the reception thrice for the same and the AC housekeeping members were not even sure how much time the AC will take to do the cooling. CHEAPEST HOTEL OF ITS CLASS, I HAVE EVEN SEEN :-(

Signs up for happy hour 2-4 on billboard and at poolside bar but on 9-5 no staff member at bar. More than 25 people waiting to take advantage of happy hour. Maintenance staff asked about this and he went to find out about this. He returned to say no happy hour. Many people were upset and then an hour later, Jeff who ran the bar/restaurant came out in […] a huff with another waiter and then pulled signs off the poolside bar. He could have offered the people happy hour as it was hotels false advertising and Jeff should have stepped up to the plate instead of sending out the maintenance man to deal with the people. Fine enough accommodations considering the surrounding competition. We are not fans of motel style places but it's really all you have to choose from here. The price is very $ considering we pay this amt in major cities and true resort towns. We had a full bath with another sink in main room, convenient. Bath was clean but outdated. AC worked well. […] Down comforters clean. Mattresses could be replaced. One side VERY saggy and uncomfortable. The staff pleasant, pool area welcoming. Breakfast buffet was $, all we tried at the onsite restaurant. Didnt like that no outside food drink at pool (even water? was my thought). Bar next to pool with good but pricey drinks. Plenty of shaded and sunny spots at pool. Great view of lake from pool and beach (and some rooms). Beach is small but private. Very convenient to main drag area and easy on off highway. All things "relative" its a nice place - our friends were a few doors down and their motel REALLY hadnt been updated (wood paneling, faux bamboo chintz furniture) That aside, we had a weird issue on our last night. A fellow traveler was given our room by mistake - coded key card and all - and she walked in on us with her 2 kids. She was much more upset than we were. They must have very outdated systems not to know our room was still taken. Or they messed up. this hotel is very conveniently located. don't have to drive at all if you don't want to; everything is close or accessible via trolley. the pool was fun, the view was excellent, the fireworks were viewable from the pool, and the place though full wasn't too noisy or overwhelming. This is not a hotel, it is an old, renovated motel, even though it's advertised as a Resort. Our room, which I feel was very overpriced, was just a 1 bedroom motel room. The bathroom was quite nice, but the door did not close or lock. The air-conditioner shut down after 11pm so it was quite warm in there. The cleaning people were very nice and did a […] great job, but the front desk personnel left much to be desired. They were rude and did not seem to care that we were unhappy with our stay. The restaurant on the property had very good food but the service was terrible. Our waitress seemed to have a memory problem - she forgot what I ordered for an entree, she forgot to bring my husband's appetizer and she forgot to bring me a glass of wine. Very, very annoying! The parking at this motel was not adequate even though they had an underground parking garage. It looked to be very old and very scary. No parking attendants on duty at any time. This motel is family friendly and within walking distance to many shops and activities. The rooms are a bit small and cramped (for a family of four/2 adults 2 children), but the pool is wonderful and overlooks the lake. Waitstaff is courteous and attentive as they check in with you to see if you need food or drinks.

Lake George is not known for quality hotels but we thought online this looked like a nice one. The AC barely worked, and one of the beds was just about the worst bed I've ever encountered. We won't return and having tried three other hotels, I think we will skip Lake George as a stop over in the future.

It may be because we booked through Hotels.com, as they may perceive the rate they achieve to be less than what they are worth. At check-in, the computer notes confounded the staff, as there were instructions as to what should be done with us in great detail. Check-in was 3 p.m. We arrived at 2:10. No such thing as an early check-in, even though only […] 40 of the 152 rooms were occupied during our stay. Instead, we were told to return at three. Road weary, tired travelers with children, turned away at the inn and told to return in 40 minutes. Why, exactly? When we did check-in, the empty hotel gave us a room as far from the "attractions' as possible. The pool has a great view. The alleged "beach" is a tiny space between two moored motor boats. There was a broken paddle boat available for rent at an extra charge. Staff were on the "beach" smoking cigarettes. Don't for a second think that this is a place for a beach holiday. The shower had no hot water one night. No apologies from the front desk - just, yeah, we are out of hot water. But how so, if the sink had hot water? This is a grimy heckhole. Stay away. When we arrived at the hotel, it was 2:15 p.m. and we were told that we could not check in until 3:00 p.m. We had traveled quite a distance and thought that we would be able to check in a little early. All other hotels we have stayed in previous to this have let us check in when we arrived. Two days later, we witnessed several couples/families checking […] in before noon. We requested to have our room serviced everyday and for two days in a row we did not have our room serviced. The front desk staff was very rude and told us that "they were bery busy and would get to it when they get to it!", end of story, no apologies for our inconvenience, nothing. We decided to cut our trip short by a day and leave the hotel a day early. The hotel refused to give us a refund for the night we did not stay and the manager was never available to talk to us about our issues. My husband and I have been in customer service for our entire careers and if we treated our customers like this hotel and their staff treated us, we would not have jobs. Apparently, they have so much business that they do not have to treat people with courtesy and kindness. I would never stay at this facility again and I would never ever recommend it to anyone. When arriving, it looks like another motel off road. Once settled in and a walk down to the pool area overlooking the lake, it felt like the resort pictured. Quick walk to town near all the amentities and walking distance to meals, bars, arcades,k etc. was great.

The Georgian Lakeside resort is just a short walk away from all attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view from the restaurant onsite is beautiful. This is a must see resort.

Their restaurant is really good too! The room was very basic and a little small, but it was adequate for our needs. They have more expensive suites that overlook the lake, but I don't know what they go for. They had a frig, but no microwave or anything like that.

When we arrived, the room they had for us was a king bed loft on 2nd floor at very end of floor, had no windows and two skylights. The receptionist made me aware of the room and asked if I would like to look at it and if not acceptable she would see if I wanted to upgrade. We visited this hotel during off season in February, they were completing renovations on rooms not being used, place was still very clean and could not hear any of the workers working at all. Room was clean and organized, bathroom was very clean and had a lot of room to move around in. Grounds were clean and staff was very helpfull.
