The rooms were nice, not very close to downtown Portland but not that far away either. Great area with chill bars within a mile or two. The rooms were really good size and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable hotel for the price"
I enjoyed my stay at the Hospitality Inn. It is the most practical location for visits to Lewis & Clark College and although it is not fancy, it is comfortable and the hotel staff are always very welcoming and helpful. The room and breakfast are fairly basic but the fact that the room has a sofa, a microwave and a fridge makes it convenient if you are […] spending any time there. "Close in location"
VERY dated accommodations. There was an awful soap spell that penetrated the air upon entering the hotel and was everywhere including my room. This smell alone ruined my stay. I also did not realize it was a pet friendly hotel or that they had smoking rooms! Hence the smell of soap I guess. Room was very dated and I wondered about the cleanliness. Towels […] were super cheap, small and thin. I couldn't wait to check out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very good value. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great...much better than far mire expensive hotels. This was the second time I had stayed there. Not my last.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for"
Nothing special. They allowed our dogs so that is why we went there, but they charged a pet fee and then charged tax on top of that fee, which I thought was weird and stingy. So what would have been a $40 fee turned into $48.78. I don't mind paying the fee, lots of hotels do that, but do you have to charge tax on top? I said something when paying it, […] and the guy said that was the law, but none of the other hotels we stayed at in Portland did that on our trip so I don't think it's the law, I think they were just trying to get more money out of me. They also have signs all over telling you about the different fines for this or that. We didn't have to pay any extra fines, but it made me a little nervous that I might step out of line when staying there. I was afraid I might get in trouble for bringing their free breakfast up to my room, since there was a sign stating that the food had to stay in the dining area, but I got away with that. In conclusion, I would not stay here again unless I couldn't find anything else. It was ok, but there were too many rules and it seemed like they just wanted to get more money from you rather than insure you have a nice stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hospitable as Usual"
We stay here several times a year as it is close to where our son lives and we travel with a dog. This hotel location is excellent as it is close to I-5 exits and necessary amenities. Many hotels that accept animals are not well maintained, but this hotel tries hard to keep its rooms nice. Breakfast is minimal but offers fruit and juice, and several […] McD's and Starbucks are next door, plus there are fresh cookies available in the lobby. The people who man the desk are always very attentive and personable. I reluctantly share this report as twice we have had to go elsewhere because it was already booked full. "My "go-to" motel in Southeast Portland"
Stayed here two separate weekends. The complimentary breakfast is meager with weak coffee, but Starbucks and McDonalds are next door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent place to stay in south Portland"
Nice place, reasonably priced, right next to McDonalds & Starbucks, just off I-5... what else could you want? (And if it's something else, it's probably nearby, too)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

You're not staying at the Waldorf-Astoria, that said I had a truly comfortable stay here. Polite and helpful people running the place. Everything went off without a hitch.Genuine Expedia guest review

I attended an event in the SW quadrant of Portland and just needed a place to sleep. The hotel was economical and fit my needs perfectly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok hotel but they allow smokers"
A big room that is OK, comfy beds, price is reasonable. They do allow smokers on the third floor which allows some of the smoke to permeate the rest of the building. Rooms have a perfume smell due to the effort to try to mask the smoke smell.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is the gem that every seasoned traveller is looking for: Excellent quality; clean, quiet, easy access, helpful staff, and a reasonable price. The downs are minor in contrast to the positives: an adequate but not stellar breakfast and the channels available are limited - but how much television can you watch. "Nice Hotel Conveniently Located"
We stayed here one night after a family wedding. We were able to check in early and was offered a cookie at check in. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. It was close to several dining opportunities such as McDonalds and Round Table Pizza, and it was close to I-5, and we didn't have any issues with noise. However, there was a bad smell in […] the elevator and in the hallways, the rooms were fine. The continental breakfast was Ok, not great. It had a waffle machine, some bread for toast, some fruit, and breakfast cereal. Overall, I thought this was a good hotel and would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Only Place I Will Stay inPortland! Great Cookies!!"
The "Original" Original Pancake House 2 Minutes away. Great Breakfast. The staff at the Hotel were accommodating in every way. The room temperature was perfect. We threw off all the bedding and enjoyed two great nights of sleep. While in Portland you MUST eat at the OX restaurant. The OX provided one of the best meals of my life. "Inexpensive & Clean!"
My partner and I stayed here on our honeymoon road trip through the states. No other hotels were available in downtown Portland but this hotel is a 15-20 minute drive from everything! The man at the service desk was very helpful and friendly. The hot breakfast in the morning was a great touch (the fresh baked cookies upon our arrival didn't hurt either!). "OK for the price"
I would spend the extra money to stay elsewhere. The staff was great, the room was not bad. But, certain things like the furniture in the breakfast area and the halls. And the decor in the halls could be cleaner. Slept well in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great Staff at the front desk, good room"

"Easy, Affordable, and Pleasant Stay"
Great customer service and clean. Close to all our Portland attractions and good rate. Great room accommodations although pillows were a tad hard but that was a very very small problem. Overall, a wonderful stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent service, we did have a noisy kid running around above us, but we called the front desk and they called the room making the noise. It did not stop right away, but at least they tried for us. The hotel was very apologetic. Breakfast was good. Waffles, hot cereal, bagels, toast., cold cereal and fruit. I liked this place. They even had a cart […] to take all your luggage up to your room. "Faded, dated property"
I'm not sure what the other reviewers here saw about this place, but I found it to be old, dirty and not very comfortable. My room was on the 3rd floor, and all I can say is that the whole floor stunk of old perfume, cleaning chemicals and something like body odor. The room itself smell a lot better, though it was still musty and hopelessly outdated. […] Nice area, couple of good bars and restaurants close by, but I would never, ever stay here again. Hotel Staff was very helpful to show me adresses and give directions for my shopping. Without these directions I would have been lost. "A nice place to stay"
My first impression was positive mainly due to the front desk assistance. The corners are a little bit dusty but overall it is a very clean atmosphere. The rooms were big and the spa was kinda fun. We would definitely stay here again if in town. Oh and the Belgium Waffle-make for breakfast was tops!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
great bed and professional desk folksGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I liked the friendly desk clerk who was very helpful. The hotel was full, and we were unable to check out later than the 11:00 posted time even though we requested it. The room was clean and everything worked well. There was plenty of free parking.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfort close to OHSU!"
Walked into a wonderfully comfortable and very large room. We had arranged for a room with two queen beds because besides ourselves we had my husband's folks who are 89 and 90 years old. They were able to have a quiet, cool, and accessible place to stay in between hospital visits where my husband was undergoing surgery. In stressful times, so far from […] home, it is so great to have a welcome place to return to. Having the small couch, microwave, refrigerator and table were just added benefits. "clean & quiet"
The room was very clean. I felt comfortable enough to where I could walk on the carpet with bare feet. Also I didn't have to sleep in full clothes, as with another recent hotel stay. i really liked the microwave & refrigerator in room. The bed was pretty comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was average and very much appreciated. Waffles (make your […] own), cereal, fresh whole fruit, coffee... Also, the hotel was quiet. Walgreen's was only a couple blocks away (walking distance). Round Table Pizza was next door and offered a discount for people staying at the Hospitality Inn. I felt the price was appropriate. It seems like if you go to cheap, the rooms are not as clean.... The front staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again, without a doubt. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"We got what we paid for."
Family vacation to Oregon Zoo & OMSI, wanted a cheap hotel within reasonable driving distance to both. Very clean well-maintained hotel. Desk staff demeanor was lackluster, breakfast was embarrassing: white bread & bagels, sugar cereals, apples or oranges, coffee, apple or orange juice, make your own waffle. Our double queen room was big enough for […] our family of 4; we decided to convert the sofa into a crib by turning it to face the wall & the desk person was incredibly rude to my husband when he called to ask for an extra set of sheets & even made my husband go get the sheets rather than have them hospitably delivered to our room. Overall, not terrible, Starbucks & McDonald's next door made up for "breakfast" & location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
