"nice hotel, breakfast could be better"
Staff was courteous, facility and room were clean and quiet and the location as convenient, we especially appreciated being right next door to a McDonalds and Round Table Pizza - perfect lunch and dinner for our 3 year old. The only thing we were disappointed by was the breakfast, not a protein source in sight, and only a couple of fruits. The cereal, […] bread, bagels, waffles, apples and oranges were very good, but the addition of some hard boiled eggs or yogurt cups and a couple other fruit choices would have gone a long way. "Close to OHSU"
The nature of our stay was really not classified as leisure or business - it was do to a seriously ill family member admitted into OHSU. Having said that, our stay at your hotel was peaceful. The staff were extremely supportive, with the exception of an older gentleman who was not very knowledgeable about the booking procedures. (He was friendly though). […] The hotel was clean and the amenities very accommodating. We will definitely use this lodging again in the future when we return for follow-up care for the family member. "Pretty good deal if you are a sound sleeper"
We picked this place because it's close in but doesn't cost anywhere near what the downtown Portland hotels want.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The staff made this a wonderful stay!"
The hotel is simple looking, and it would be easy to decline staying there based on the outside alone, but it is the inside that has the heart. Every staff member was cheerful and made us feel as if their whole goal for the day was to be available to us. We never felt like we were an inconvenience with our questions and needs. Also, we were pleasantly […] surprised to find our room actually consisted of a master bedroom attached to a regular room. We had ordered a double, and found ourselves in a suite layout. For the price and the service, we will be coming back to this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Consistently good value"
We stayed here before a visit to OHSU medical center and it turns out that we did the same a couple of years ago, though didn't remember that when we booked. As before, it is still a clean, reasonably priced and comfortable, no-frills stay, with friendly managers. There is wireless internet and a protein-free breakfast thrown in (cereal, waffles, etc., […] which makes the McDonald's next door look pretty good if you want more than carbs). "NEEDS REMODEL BADLY, AND NEW EQUIPMENT"
Place smelled funky, looked like it was last modeled in the 70's. the exercise equipment was a joke. Treadmill didnt even work, and everything looked like it was pulled out of someones basement from the 70's. laundry cut off time was too early to get my clothes in after booking my room so i had to wear the same clothes the next day. Not very professional. […] The carpet in my room was moist and smelled like dog urine, which I'm guessing the person before me must have had a pet in the room. The bedding gave me the willies. The room was very high priced for the offering and I will highly recommend none of my employees to stay here while traveling. And I recommend you avoid this place as well. "Fine but needs some TLC"
Our stay was fine. The room was very clean and the desk clerk sufficiently helpful. The hospitality room where the minimal breakfast was served was in need of a remodel. Not a pleasant space at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and reasonably priced"
large clean room; no problems. There was a lack of protein for the continental breakfast, but that is typical and was expected.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent stay for the money!"
Just needed to be in Portland for one night, so if you need to be downtown and don't want to pay double the price then this is the one for you. Clean, friendly, safe and overall a good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very comfortable bed."
The bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. The rest of the hotel needed some TLC. Lobby floor was dirty. Ledges and tables badly needed dusting. Raggity rug at 2nd floor enterance. Selection at breakfast was pretty skimpy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Mostly great- the elevator smelled kind of funny. Otherwise, very satisfied.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good value"
This is good place to stay if you are looking for an inexpensive but clean and comfortable motel. It is only about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown and is close to Lewis and Clark College, which is why we stayed there. The rooms were very clean and large. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but was fine, with decent […] coffee. There was a decent Thai restaurant right across the street, otherwise not a lot right nearby. My only real complaint was we had a late red eye flight out of Portland but the motel was unwilling to give us a pro rated rate to hold onto the room for half the day so that we weren't stuck trying to fill 9 hours on a rainy day. "Alright but not awesome."
The towels were scratchy. The people behind the desk were nice but seemed more interested in playing on their phone or computer than working. The breakfast was fine, nothing to write home about. It was fair for the price but next time I think we will stay elsewhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was great, with what little extra attention was needed for myself and my friend. friendly check in and check out. For the price, it wasn't a bad stay at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Affordable hotel with excellent accommodation. Guest attendant was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and cozy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, excellent staff."
We were treated exceptionally well at the Hospitality Inn. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The location was very convenient to restaurants, Casey Eye Institute and to downtown Portland. The only slight negative is the breakfast which is a typical cereal/muffin/waffle breakfast. We will be staying here again for our next trip to Portl […] and. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not really in Portland"
This is really a motel. The room was spacious and clean, but looked out of date and aged. The check-in people were friendly. The main complaint I have is that it's far away from anything in Portland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Low cost & close enough to OHSU"
This hotel is just fine if you need a place to sleep while your loved one is at the Oregon Health Sciences university Hospital. They have low rates and the rooms are clean. The bed was comfy. The carpet was ugly and the furniture was from the 80's but who cares.Genuine Expedia guest review
"New meaning to "Hot Breakfast""
The term 'hot breakfast' has taken on a whole new meaning, but not a positive one. The waffle maker (nothing for gluten-free), an urn of hot water to make a bowl of instant oatmeal (again, not gluten-free) and very weak coffee were the only hot things available. There was a pitiful toaster and bread provided, and cereal. Most hotels at least have yogurt […] available, but not here. The absence of a microwave made heating anything impossible. This was a very sparse Continental breakfast (at best)without the sweet rolls (bagels, bread and English muffins). Facing a day of medical appointments, we had counted on some protein and or yogurt to get us started. Instead we had to buy some fast food before our early appt. Maybe we will ask specific questions when booking next time. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite clean. The microwave (in room) did not rotate. We will probably stay here again, but come prepared with our own food. We may shop around for a better deal, however. It was quiet, and easy to find (once you find the right highway in Portland). "I'd go back"
Not a bad place; certainly good value. The location doesn't favour downtown too much (our purpose) but it certainly is made to order for the families needing a place near the hospitals. From what I could see it's well run and good staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"business trip to Portland"
Very reasonable price for a good,. clean hotel. Room was large. Bed comfortable. Not a full range of cable channels but was adequate. Staff were pleasant and courteous. Has features one would need for a long stay, although mine was just overnight. Breakfast was great, including waffle maker.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for a bed, but that's it"
We chose this hotel because it's close to my brothers house. That was about the only good thing about it. The fitness room is a joke. It was probably an ok one in 1970. The free breakfast is the worst one I've ever seen. Yes they have waffles, but they water down their syrup so the waffle just gets soggy. Finally, the staff had a bad attitude. We needed […] fresh towels a couple times, and another pillow, and each time we were met with grumbling and what felt like a "why should I help you" attitude. I will not stay at this hotel again. I don't think it's worth the money, and I wouldn't reccommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

everything is good, breakfast time lasts longer until 10am, it is good for me, since I always get up late. the room is spacious, even it is not modern style, but it is comfortble.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fit my needs."
I needed an inexpensive place to stay for a few days. I checked online and this seemed better than the comps. Good location, near major highways, and ten minutes from Portland. The facility is worn but clean, with a nice staff. Parking was adequate and the area appeared secure. King-size bed was comfy, flat screen TV - not many stations- heat worked […] well. Noise was minimal and not a problem. Typical continental breakfast was adequate. A Starbucks and McDonalds right next door with a good variety of restaurants about a mile down the road. Wi-Fi was spotty for me, but an ethernet connection worked fine. I've stayed at more expensive, newer, and upscale places, but this suited my needs just fine. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The rooms were nice, not very close to downtown Portland but not that far away either. Great area with chill bars within a mile or two. The rooms were really good size and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dog friendly, good location."
Good experience, great room choice. Dog friendly, good location (close to a few shops & major roads, but still tucked into some trees in a neighborhood location). Found & reserved room through internet, & pretty painless check-in & out. Check out time of 10:00 (w/out late option) seemed a bit early, but A coffee shop next door helped w/ that.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to relatives in Portland, OR"
The motel was within walking distance to our relatives, about two minutes away. The staff was friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable hotel for the price"
I enjoyed my stay at the Hospitality Inn. It is the most practical location for visits to Lewis & Clark College and although it is not fancy, it is comfortable and the hotel staff are always very welcoming and helpful. The room and breakfast are fairly basic but the fact that the room has a sofa, a microwave and a fridge makes it convenient if you are […] spending any time there. "Simple and clean"
The hotel is good for the price. The continental breakfast was good with "make your own" waffles, bagels and cream cheese and cereals but nothing but fruit for gluten intolerant guests.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close in location"
VERY dated accommodations. There was an awful soap spell that penetrated the air upon entering the hotel and was everywhere including my room. This smell alone ruined my stay. I also did not realize it was a pet friendly hotel or that they had smoking rooms! Hence the smell of soap I guess. Room was very dated and I wondered about the cleanliness. Towels […] were super cheap, small and thin. I couldn't wait to check out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to freeway"
This was a nice no frills experience for those just looking for a safe, clean stay while in Tigard-Portland area. I will use it again. And the prior reviews of comfortable beds were accurate.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very good value. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great...much better than far mire expensive hotels. This was the second time I had stayed there. Not my last.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for"
Nothing special. They allowed our dogs so that is why we went there, but they charged a pet fee and then charged tax on top of that fee, which I thought was weird and stingy. So what would have been a $40 fee turned into $48.78. I don't mind paying the fee, lots of hotels do that, but do you have to charge tax on top? I said something when paying it, […] and the guy said that was the law, but none of the other hotels we stayed at in Portland did that on our trip so I don't think it's the law, I think they were just trying to get more money out of me. They also have signs all over telling you about the different fines for this or that. We didn't have to pay any extra fines, but it made me a little nervous that I might step out of line when staying there. I was afraid I might get in trouble for bringing their free breakfast up to my room, since there was a sign stating that the food had to stay in the dining area, but I got away with that. In conclusion, I would not stay here again unless I couldn't find anything else. It was ok, but there were too many rules and it seemed like they just wanted to get more money from you rather than insure you have a nice stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent Hotel, but their description is a lie."
Overall, the hotel was a typical low-cost super 8/motel 6/ecolodge equivalent. I had no problems overall, and we got what we paid for. However, I saw it in the reviews before I booked that the hotel has a smell to it and that they lie about their breakfasts. Both are true. The smell did not bother my gf, but it gave me a headache. Also, their breakfast […] is by no means a hot breakfast and just has bread, cereal, and a couple of pastries. Honestly, it was really lacking. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant, convieniant and pet friendly"
And very affordable. We have family in the area. We visit often. We always get a nice clean safe room here. The staff is very helpful. There is always good wifi signal and breakfast every morning. "Hospitable as Usual"
We stay here several times a year as it is close to where our son lives and we travel with a dog. This hotel location is excellent as it is close to I-5 exits and necessary amenities. Many hotels that accept animals are not well maintained, but this hotel tries hard to keep its rooms nice. Breakfast is minimal but offers fruit and juice, and several […] McD's and Starbucks are next door, plus there are fresh cookies available in the lobby. The people who man the desk are always very attentive and personable. I reluctantly share this report as twice we have had to go elsewhere because it was already booked full.
