"great relaxing spot"
The sun rise was the best I have ever saw. Love it!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We really loved our stay! Great breakfast, very comfy rooms and relatively close to Door County! We will definitely go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Door County."
The owner was very friendly and helpful but the breakfasts left a little to be desired. The view from the rear deck was unbelievable except that it was a pity that it faced east and therefor could not not take advantage of the evening sunset . Nothing that the owner could have done about the direction the house faced. Plenty of off road parking and […] easy commute up to Door County. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay At the Waters Edge, in Algoma Wisconsin. The room was very cozy and super clean. It is right on Lake Michigan and we could hear the waves at night. The breakfasts were delicious. Lovely people who are running it. Felt very welcomed. Excellent experience!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful Lakefront View & 5-star Breakfasts!"
The owner/manager is charming, vivacious and a marvelous chef! The B&B itself is right on Lake Michigan, has a wonderful deck area overlooking the lake. We could see and hear the lake from our room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent b & b"
Great views from the deck! Good size room and clean. This is an older b&b. Bathroom was small but adequate. Not for the handicapped due to small doorways and stairs to upper rooms. It is a very quiet area and you can have as much privacy as you want. Owners are very nice and there is wildlife present in the mornings. The breakfast fills you up and the […] coffee is good. Tea is also available. The room is comfortable with patio and front doors open with screens. A nice breeze flows through the room. The rooms are not air-conditioned. But, don't go there expecting to sit on a lawn chair at the beach. The area is covered with round slippery rocks and "muck" is at the water's edge. You don't want to get into the water at that place. However, it is only about 1 & 1/2 to 2 miles from town where there is a very nice beach with volleyball nets. The restaurants in town are a bit pricey. Overall, a nice place to stay. "Excellent Stay at At Water's Edge"
We had an excellent time at this quaint lakeside oasis. The service was great, the room was cozy, and the view and surroundings were phenomenal! We look forward to going back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Peaceful Lakeside B & B"
Kari, our host, welcomed us like old friends. She is knowledgeable about the area and provided good advice about local restaurants and attractions. The best attraction for me was Lake Michigan just yards from our room, and the fabulous view of the full moon rising over the lake. The sunrise was wonderful as well. Excellent coffee in the morning, and […] friendly guests sharing a delicious and abundant breakfast make this a 5 Star B&B experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"B&B in Algoma Wisc"
This was my first experience with a B&B and the hostess of this place made it the most awesome stay that I am now going to try other B&B's around the country. The rooms all have themes, Nautical, Harley Davidson, Honeymoon, ETC. They were all great and decorated accordingly but very tastefully.; The food at breakfast is great, Kari outdid herself . […] I advise anyone to try this place out. I booked this for next yr's shanty days and our family reunion. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Breathtaking view at a place where you feel like family."

We stayed for a weekend and wish we could have stayed for two weeks. Kari and Dave do a fine job making guests feel at home. The deck is a fabulous place to sit and let the Lake experiece wash over you...if you love listening to waves, this place is for you. Come down in the morning and join in feeding peanuts to the little woodland creatures. great company, good conversation, good food, great time. And very close to Door County. We will be returning again and again when we want to head to Door. Rod and Michel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time; two-night stay at The Waters Edge. From walking into the front door and meeting Kari, our innkeeper, to our comfy, cozy room on the 2nd floor overlooking the lake, to the tasty and plentiful breakfast the next morning.....everything was a wonderful experience. We loved talking with the others visitors and our innkeepers, in a comfortable breakfast setting. The grounds were beautiful and being able to walk out on the beach overlooking the water was an added plus......not to mention the sunrises!!! All in all, We will be back and we will bring friends. A+++

Just off the shore of Lake Michigan, At the Water's Edge was a perfect little B&B. Kari was so warm and welcoming, the room was perfect (I had the Harley room), breakfast was delish, and the views and sounds of the lake were to die for. Couldn't have asked for more! Can't wait to visit again!
"Gorgeous view and sounds of Lake Michigan"

I wish I could give this place 4.5. I very seldom do 5, unless everything is exceptional. We enjoyed our stay--especially sitting on the deck, having cheese, smoked fish, crackers and drinks while watching and listening to the waves roll in. Kari was very welcoming. She was present throughout the breakfasts and entered the conversations in a personable, unobtrusive way. Breakfasts were good but not great like some we've had. We appreciated having the fridge and microwave in the room. We especially liked the music room because the entrance was right off the parking lot--very handy.

We enjoyed our stay "At The WATERS EDGE" it was so low key and comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious, the tub delightful and it was so nice to have a ref and microwave at our fingertips. The breakfast was tasty and fulfilling. But the best part was the sunrise on Lake Michigan right from our room. To make it even better I was able to sit on the deck with coffee and watch the sun start at the horizon and move up the sky.
"Just what we needed ...."

My husband and I decided to get away for a few days before the hectic school year with the kids. We enjoyed our 4-hr drive to get there. As soon as we pulled up (we were 1 hr late from check-in) and walked in, we were greeted by a smiling, friendly host, Kari. She told us she ran to the door to greet us before we walked in ... so sweet! We had the tropical room on the second floor. We really liked the charm of the "beach" theme. The room was spacious, clean, and had an AMAZING view of the lake. Their deck is huge with lots of seating, even a few hammocks. We really enjoyed the fire pit too, along with the fun and conversation with other guests. I would definitely go back and stay longer. Oh, Breakfast? YEAH!! So good! Apple and caramel pancakes with sausage links. Delicious! Don't forget to go down to the water and attempt to make your own "rock tower." Ours was a fail, but we had fun. Thanks Kari! We love your place and look forward to staying with you again.

My husband and I found At The Waters Edge on Living Social and are so glad we did. The room we stayed in was very cozy, well kept, and made us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious and the owner Kari was always entertaining during the meal - great convo to compliment a good, home cooked meal :). The weather was just perfect at night to use the fire pit and converse with the other guests, as well as leave the windows open and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast for your Door County stay!!!
"Door county stay, away from the busy"
08/13/13 David L Plainfield, Illinois
My wife and I are newbies to the bed and breakfast scene, so we didn't go into our stay with much expectations. I'm so glad that we did though. The rooms were really cozy, and the view from our deck was really nice. The grounds are well kept, including a fire pit, hamcocks, and few steps to get down by the water. We were made to feel very welcome from the time we arrived. Kari was a great host and a great person just to chat with. Breakfast was above what we expected also, lots of fresh fruit and sweets, as well as a wonderful hot meal. And as much coffee as we could drink :) It was clear that our hosts work really hard to make sure all guests have the best experience, and I'm looking forward to coming back.

My husband and I just got back from our trip to Algoma and this is the first review on Tripadvisor that I have ever written. We had such a good experience at this B & B that I had to give it a great review. Kari is a wonderful host. We arrived later in the night but she left everything right there for us to get into our room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The deck is very spacious and a great spot to see the sunrise if you're up early enough. Make sure you are hungry for breakfast every morning...because they are huge. I normally don't eat a big breakfast but I didn't leave much on my plate any morning because it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating. Thanks for everything Kari and Dave. We hope to see you again! This was our first time staying at an B&B and we fell in love with the place. We stayed in the Tropical Paradise room, located on the second floor, private balcony over looking Lake Michigan. It was so nice to hear the waves hit the shore that we both slept so good, the breakfast was different each day, the host was wonderful. We will be coming back to this B&B again, and we are planning to bring my brother and sister-in law. Thanks Kari and Dave for making our trip fun of memories.
