"B & B"
Nice people and beautiful view. The worse problem was the noise of other guests...not much could be done I suppose. But, maybe explaining to other guests that after 10:00 it is time to be quiet. Couldn't hear the lake splashing on the shore if we wanted to as we had to keep the window shut to help with the "people" noise. Bed was not made very well […] the second day?? Thought that was kind of strange. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Waters Edge Resort"
Our stay was nice. We had a late booking and Dave and Kari were awesome. I had some dietary restrictions ... and by that morning she was able to accomodate us. There is something about sleeping with the screen door closed and hearing the surf of Lake Michigan lap the shores. the view is amazing ... We didn't arrive unitl well after 10 p.m. but they […] left the check in door open and a little map on how to get to our room in the dark...It was perfect. It is very close to Door County and I would rank it a high number. We had the honeymoon suite above the garage .. It was private and just lovely. The decks all connected and that lead to the dining room.. not typical but again you are walking along the lakeside. We only stayed one night but definitely will come back again. "great relaxing spot"
The sun rise was the best I have ever saw. Love it!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We really loved our stay! Great breakfast, very comfy rooms and relatively close to Door County! We will definitely go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Door County."
The owner was very friendly and helpful but the breakfasts left a little to be desired. The view from the rear deck was unbelievable except that it was a pity that it faced east and therefor could not not take advantage of the evening sunset . Nothing that the owner could have done about the direction the house faced. Plenty of off road parking and […] easy commute up to Door County. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay At the Waters Edge, in Algoma Wisconsin. The room was very cozy and super clean. It is right on Lake Michigan and we could hear the waves at night. The breakfasts were delicious. Lovely people who are running it. Felt very welcomed. Excellent experience!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful Lakefront View & 5-star Breakfasts!"
The owner/manager is charming, vivacious and a marvelous chef! The B&B itself is right on Lake Michigan, has a wonderful deck area overlooking the lake. We could see and hear the lake from our room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent b & b"
Great views from the deck! Good size room and clean. This is an older b&b. Bathroom was small but adequate. Not for the handicapped due to small doorways and stairs to upper rooms. It is a very quiet area and you can have as much privacy as you want. Owners are very nice and there is wildlife present in the mornings. The breakfast fills you up and the […] coffee is good. Tea is also available. The room is comfortable with patio and front doors open with screens. A nice breeze flows through the room. The rooms are not air-conditioned. But, don't go there expecting to sit on a lawn chair at the beach. The area is covered with round slippery rocks and "muck" is at the water's edge. You don't want to get into the water at that place. However, it is only about 1 & 1/2 to 2 miles from town where there is a very nice beach with volleyball nets. The restaurants in town are a bit pricey. Overall, a nice place to stay. "Peaceful Lakeside B & B"
Kari, our host, welcomed us like old friends. She is knowledgeable about the area and provided good advice about local restaurants and attractions. The best attraction for me was Lake Michigan just yards from our room, and the fabulous view of the full moon rising over the lake. The sunrise was wonderful as well. Excellent coffee in the morning, and […] friendly guests sharing a delicious and abundant breakfast make this a 5 Star B&B experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before and this was the most amazing experience. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the room was immaculate and the view was so beautiful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - blueberry stuffed french toast was served that morning. Kari and Dave are so positive and outgoing, and the other people staying there were so nice and made breakfast feel like eating with friends. We will definitely stay there again when we travel to that area.

My mom atmosphereayed there, and what a nice treat. We had the tropical room & it was so cute. I had we had to giggle every time we tried to get on the antique bed, it was so high. The food Kari & Dave served was just wonderful. The meals were beautifully presented and the conversations with the other guests were all so engaging. We were there on Thursday & Friday night's, so we experienced a whole guest changeover. Almost all the other guests were repeat customers, that tells you how much people love the place. We truly felt at home. There were also several great shops and restaurants in Algoma. We had great experiences at Red's, Skaliwags, and The Stadium Bar and Grill. None of them have a fancy atmospheres, just a lot of pride in what they serve.

Come for the view, stay for the breakfast! Our first time at a B&B. We stayed 7 nights! We had the Hollywood room and enjoyed this experience with the very entertaining and personable host Kari. She was very accomodating and serves up a fantastic breakfast. I recommend the Blueberry stuffed french toast but really all of the choices are yummy and plentiful! You will not go hungry here. Thanks for a very relaxing week and excellent weather. Pam & Chuck.

My wife and I stayed here overnight on the way to Mackinac Island. Each of the rooms at this little B&B on the shores of Lake Michigan has a theme, we stayed in the honeymoon suite. All of the rooms have their own private bath and a great view of Lake Michigan. You can actually walk down to the shore if you want. Our room was clean and comfortable, the fireplace and hot tub were nice bonuses. Our hosts Dave and Kari could not have been more welcoming. Prior to our arrival we got a text from Dave verifying our anticipated arrival time. In the morning Kari served a delicious breakfast, she seemed genuinely interested in making our stay a memorable and enjoyable one. I would stay here again.
"We Felt Welcomed at the Water's Edge!"

My husband and I came to the Inn to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. We had no prior knowledge of the Inn or the area. We just wanted a nice romantic getaway. We purchased a Groupon for at the Water's Edge. Dave was able to accommodate our last-minute request. We arrived a little late in the evening. But, we found a lovely note, and our key, waiting for us. We were placed in the "Hollywood" room. I loved it! Kari served delicious breakfasts and provided pleasant conversation. It was cold, so we didn't get much time to sit outdoors. But, the town of Algoma was nice and friendly. Overall, a nice time.
"Great stay in Algoma"
07/30/14 dave_2756 Olathe, Kansas
We had a wonderful experience 'at the Water's Edge' in Algoma. Kari was a great host, and our room had a great view of the lake -- we really enjoyed sitting in the evenings with the door open and listening to the surf on the lake. (Not in Kansas anymore!) Breakfasts were good, and visiting while Kari fed the chipmunks & other 'critters' in the mornings was fun. Kari gave us discount coupons for Scaliwags our first night, which was a great place to eat, so don't forget to ask for those! We drove all over Door County the day after our arrival. That was fine, but the things we enjoyed most (beach access, winery, Scaliwags, and especially 'at the Water's Edge') were best in Algoma. Wouldn't necessarily make a second trip to Door County, but we'll definitely return to 'at the Water's Edge.'
"Much cooler near the lake."

We have stayed in Door County in the past but we wanted to try something in the same general area that was not as congested and a little less "touristy". We have also visited Algoma in the past and enjoyed this quiet picturesque lake side town. We decided to give a B&B near Algoma a try for a little "mini" 2 day vacation and found at the Waters Edge to be a near perfect alternative to Door County. The only thing that was not perfect was the weather however the warmth of the host and hostess who own this beautiful B&B more than made up for the weather. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with an outstanding private balcony view of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed two quiet moonlit nights and we sipped our cocktails while well bundeled up listening to the sounds of the lake. Kari gave us a great information on the local area which guided us the the best broasted chicken we have ever eaten....YUM. Breakfast at the B&B was super and the blueberry stuffed french toast was exceptional. Both Kari and Dave go out of their way to make you feel at home.
"Great location on the water"

Very nice place but not what we had hoped for. Original looking for a romantic place but this wasn't it. This place was great, located on the water but the rooms were theme rooms, Harley room, music room, carribean room, etc.the owners Kari and Dave were very nice and helpful.
"Quaint little getaway"
07/08/14 Britnee R Chicago, Illinois
We had an absolutely wonderful time "at the Water's Edge." As a quick getaway it was a great place for my boyfriend and I. We stayed in the Tropical Room, which was so cute and nice. It was on the 2nd floor with it's own private balcony that overlooked the gorgeous lake. Kari and Dave had family in town the weekend we stayed, so we had the pleasure of feeling like part of the family! We had lots of fun down by the fire and sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful view. I didn't experience breakfast because I have a lot of food allergies that are hard to accommodate. Kari offered to make me eggs, but I get sick even from cross-contamination, so to save her from the sadness of making one of her guests sick, I just ate fruit and brought food to eat in my room. My boyfriend loved the food though! He's lucky and can eat all the delish food he wants. Our whole experience staying at the B&B was lovely. The town of Algoma itself does not have a whole lot to do, which was a little bit disappointing to us. We went to Door County for the day, which was great, but we were hoping for more to explore in the town. Our exploration definitely fell short. If you're looking for a B&B in a town with a lot to do, unfortunately at the Water's Edge isn't it. If you're looking for a B&B for some time to unwind and really do nothing, then it's perfect. I was also unaware that the weather in Algoma is significantly cooler than the rest of the state. I was so cold at night and we actually had to go out and buy sweatshirts!!! I guess we should have checked the weather a little more :) Overall, a wonderful getaway. We loved our time at the B&B itself, but would have loved a little bit more out of the town/surrounding area.
"The view is amazing!"
07/07/14 Carla Jo S Joliet, Illinois
We spent two nights at the Waters Edge. The view from the deck and even our room was amazing. The sounds of the waves at night lulled me to sleep. Kari made a great breakfast and made everyone feel welcome, she even made me a gluten free dish. The next time we are in the area we will be sure to stay there.
