I would not stay here again. Very noisy and breakfast was inadequate. That sums it up. You can do much better in Portland for this amount of money.

Our room was damp. The towels were damp, the rug was damp, it was a very damp experience. As a result the room had a funny smell. There were lots of carpet stains and the furniture was ripped. The continental breakfast was pretty lame too.

The rooms were adequate for the purpose. The continental breakfast is limited to cereal, bagels and muffins, with yogurt and fruit. The front desk employees were very helpful when I had a request.The downside: very thin walls and noisy mattress springs. ne night I had some very althletic upstairs neighbors!

Clean,& affordable . Great location. Located 4 blocks from the convention center Max line, meant a short trip downtown (and access to 3 max lines), and an equally short trip back to the airport when my weekend was over. There is a 7-11 around the corner, and a walgreens, so iIcoud pick up some forgotten toiletries. I would stay here again.

The location was convenient, the room was comfortable and clean, the staff was helpful. The wi-fi was reliable, which was important to us. Free continental breakfast. Some appliances in the room have seen better days (TV, hair-dryer), but they work OK.

This hotel is really all about the location. Walking distance to the mall, good food and the convention center. Nice sized rooms and all the regular things one comes to expect with a hotel of this price range. The breakfast is minimal and low quality which is also to be expected.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Shilo and will definitely stay there again when we visit our son in Portland. Rooms are small, but have lots of extras and are kept super clean!! Also, the way the entry doors are positioned keep the room so quiet from the hall traffic. Great stay!!

The hide a bed that was in the hotel was so dirty with spots that appeared to be blood on the blankets and that we would not let our son sleep in it. I would not recommend this hotel to other people.

Everything about the Shilo Inn was great for the price. The front desk was very helpful, my room was clean and appeared to have been recently renovated and the Wi-Fi was free and easy to access. The room even had a fridge and microwave. My only complaint about the room was the door to the bathroom opened to the inside and I had to step to the side of […] the toilet to close the door behind me. It was a tight fit and they should think about a sliding door instead. There were several fast food places very close, (walking distance# to the Hotel.#Burger King,McDonalds,Wendy's) All in all it was a perfect location for us on this trip. My husband and I stayed in this on the start of a road trip. The desk clerk was very helpful, and gave us information on where the local eat, must see places in Portland, and tips on how to get around town. The room was clean and comfortable. The mirror was only attached to the wall on the top, and my husband caught a metal part of the mirror by a magnet it pulled away from the wall making us concerned that it would fall off, and the handle of the shower fell off. We told the hotel about our concerns, and the desk clerk did say that they would send maintenance to check all the mirrors, and fix the handle. Overall decent price, comfortable, and friendly. Well, this Shilo property advertised mini suites . . showed photos on the web page of a couch in the view on the ad. Well, just returned from the property and can say we did not have any other casual seating but the chair at the desk !! When we went to the desk and asked, "We booked a mini suite, we were informed that ALL of our rooms are mini suites!!" […] I spent 31+ years before retiremnet living out of suitcases on the UPRR, I know a suite, a mini suite and a room. This is a room, a small one!! Be aware, if you consider this Shilo property. I reguarly stay up after my lady retires, on the computer or watching TV, this property will not be the best bet for you. Whole hotel smelled like hot steamy sauna air was very humid had to run AC just to rid the humidity. Breakfast was a joke frozen bagels with a broken toaster, milk from jug, please. Hotel staff disheveled but cleaning staff were great with a good attitude and smile. I won't stay here ever again.

The rooms were reasonably clean, however we had a ton of issues with noise. Staff was nice, but that does not help at all with all the noise. On Friday the noise was unbearable,not just a couple people but the entire floor. Banging, yelling, slamming doors so hard it shook the floor. Smaller hotel, but clean and well-priced. Location is very good for attending Rose Garden, Wonder Ballroom, Lloyd Center, and surrounding shops and restaurants. Morning breakfasts are in a pretty small room that gets crowded easily.....not a great selection of breakfast items, but enough to get you to lunch.

The cable was fuzzy the WHOLE time no matter what channel. It has 2 floors with no elevator. Also we were told no one was on either side or us or below us. Well around 6am they started hitting the wall for 30mins + straight then people kept coming in and out from then on. Horrible!!!!

We stayed here two nights and the room was never cleaned while we were there. The staff were rude and unhelpful. We had to go searching for a housekeeping person because there was no toilet paper in the room. This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
