For the price and location this was a deal! They even loaned me a playpen for my daughter. The only suggestion is to get a better breakfast. They only offered mini muffins, pecan twirls and apples, not a great selection. The staff was very polite and the room was nice and clean.

The location was very convenient......but it was also convenient for an armed robber who barricaded himself in one of the guest rooms. For about 6 hours there were at least a dozen police cars, SWAT vans, etc in the parking lot. It was pretty scary. It was great...we didn't get into Orlando until after 1 am...we had previously called the hotel letting them know it was going to be very late getting in. They put a note in the computer for us. My GPS indicated the hotel was here but this was clearly the Travel Lodge. It took a second look to find the Econolodge tucked in behind. You go through the Travel Lodge parking lot to get to it. I would rather if the staff would speak English too each other in front of the customers. The check in time is non negotiable, they make you wait till exactly 3, so all customers are trying to check in at once with one associate. We were 15 minutes early and were not allowed to check in. Hotel is locate in the back of another hotel. Hotel location is close to I4 highway and you can hear all the noise from the highway especially if you are in the second or third floor. Insulation is really bad and you can hear guests arriving or talking in hallways. Also TV needs to be upgrades. We could hear our next door room TV. I went with few friends to Orlando, I've stayed so many times in Orlando but never at this hotel. I like the area of International Dr. because I have a lot of options nearby, although I prefer Disney area. This is close to restaurants, stores and outlets (my friends were looking for it). I thought it was somehow clean until last day we found a shirt and a PC mouse (weren't ours) behind one bed... meaning, they don't clean very well. We didn't have breakfast included when we booked, when we arrived they told us we did... but breakfast was over by 8am... only coffee and small muffins, which obviously not a breakfast if spending a long day at the parks. This hotel was excellent for the price. It is within walking distance from numerous restaurants. It's also just steps away from the Lynx and I-Ride stop. Technically you could walk to Universal (it's about 1 1/2 miles) if you weren't with small children (or complaining teenagers in my case). There is a shuttle service to the parks but it runs once in […] the morning and again at night. The bed was comfortable but the room was a little small. Ok for 2 people but I can't imagine trying to fit more than that in there. Staff was friendly. Room was cleaned well each day. There were a few minor maintenance issues (e.g., the deadbolt was holding on by one screw, the security door between the adjoining rooms did not lock, the safe wasn't working, problems with inroom coffe maker and refrigerator). Hot water was not a problem. Breakfast consisted of coffee, apple juice, and a single type of prepackaged pastry. My advice is to skip it and just hit Denny's or McDonald's which are both a few doors down. P.S. even if you aren't a fan of McDonald's you must visit this one. It is the largest in the world and has an arcade, a bowling alley, and gourmet foods that other McDonald's don't carry. Read more

The room was fine, but the door had gaps in it where you could put your finger through at the bottom which let in noise and light at night. Extremely close to Titanic Experience and CSI Experience. Comments about the small square footage per room are accurate, but the room is clean. They have an ethernet outlet on lamp on the bedside table. You do have to pay an almost $5 "resort" fee that is not part of the charge through hotels.com. They have STARZ on TV. For the price, a good value.
