"Close to Kema Boardwalk"
Hotel was really clean and really comfortable!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Kemah Pallace Inn"
There were only two bath towels and they were very small. I would like four towels in the room...and larger (go to the standard bath size that most people would have at home.)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I felt like I was in a motel that you see on the news where illegal activity is held. People sitting on the stairs and the parking lot was the hangout.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay was quite pleasant. Easy access to the city, which was great! The coffee pot in the room didn't have filters, so I had to go to the office for coffee. I was hoping to find something hot (ie.oatmeal/grits) besides pancakes. The guy was not very friendly when questioned about the breakfast. The beds aren't very comfy, but, I had a great nights […] sleep, until the morning...I could hear all the thumps from other guests. My overall stay was good. Will stay again :-) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
New carpet was nice n clean, but the smell! Nice room. Further from things than we were lead to believe, but all in all a nice place. I don't think I would pay this much again tho. Same room I book all over for about half what we paid here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small hotel located near Kemah boardwalk."
Ok hotel, not elevator to 2nd floor, not too far from the busy Kemah area.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very dated hotel. Poor housekeeping. Lobby "breakfast" is a joke.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just One Thing"
Just one thing was bad... the bed was like sleeping on a Rock...Everything else was great...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sight See Boardwalk"
Hotel very close to Kemah Boardwalk not even 3 minutes. Stayed in #105,very clean room spacious restroom layout very cool. All hotel rooms should look like that. Be staying again next time in area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"liked it for the price."
Good for the price. Clean. Breakfast. Very close to boardwalk. I like.Genuine Expedia guest review
hotel was nice the beds could be a little softer but overall very niceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I thought this hotel had unexpectedly large, clean rooms for the price, and the staff was very pleasant and friendly. It is located very close to the boardwalk for far more affordable prices than the hotels there!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nothing like the pictures!"
Where to begin? I booked this hotel for my boyfriend's birthday and because in the pictures it showed the room having tons of space for a party. When I got to the lobby it smelled terrible like some sort of inscents! It gave me a headache not to mention i had to wait about five minutes smalling it because that's how long it took for someone to actually […] come from where ever they were and get me checked in. Then the lady asked for my name and i gave it to her and she couldn't find my reservation paper. I had to repeat my name six times before she found the paper in her right hand. After that I went up to the room to set up and the room was nothing like the pictures online! They were so boxie and cramped! I could've put up with the small space but then my boyfriend had pointed out that there was indeed a hole under the door. I just gave up and check out and stayed at a hotel closer to the boardwalk. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even for just one night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel room was big and clean. My only complaint is the bed. It was extremely hard.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good place to stay"
4 blocks from Boardwalk -10 minutes from Galveston- 5 minutes from NASA. Very convenient to resterants, walmart, target, and other shopping. Beds on the ferm side. no pool only negative.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could have been better"
The hotel staff had many issues and were less than pleasant. We were given wrong directions several times. Were told we are on the first floor than had to carry a stroller to the second floor. One of the face clothes was dirty to the point it should have been thrown out. When we called the front desk we were told something was wrong with us. Never stay […] there again Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near kemah boardwalk"
I love love loved but would have been better If they had a pool!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"very happy family"
i was so pleased about how comfortable and nice the inn was. it made my family feel like it was home away from home. it was everything i expected and more. Everything was so convient Kemah was right around the corner and all the stores was local as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
In a non-smoking room, the blanket had cigarette burn holes in it. The shower curtain was filthy, though they replaced it on request. Sheets and pillow cases worn out and in need of replacement. Pillows worn out. Mattress passable, but not high quality.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not Ipressed for a new motel"
Wasn't as nice as other Day;s Inn;s I've stayed in. Breakfast was bad, no house computer and bed was hard. But for the price I guess youi get what you pay for:Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not the best, but clean"
07/20/14 Dan B
This was the first place we found after going through Galveston that had a room available. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a good nights sleep. The lighting was not the best. Only ceiling lights were in the room, no bedside table lamps. The TV was decent, but the cable signal was not good so the image was crappy. The continental breakfast was one of the most minimal I have seen in a long time. Like I said, I slept well. If I need a room in this area I would consider staying here again.
"Worst Hotel I've stayed in"
04/20/14 Sandy B Albuquerque, New Mexico
We drove into the Kemah area thinking we would find a reasonably priced hotel to stay the night. We had had a lovely room at a well known chain hotel on the seawall in Galveston the night before, for a room rate of $71. The Palace Inn charged us $85, so we expected something comparable. The room was clean enough, but it was done on the cheap. We saw only two staircases to the second floor in the whole u-shaped building. No elevator. The one ice machine and vending machine was below us in the corner farthest from the stairs, so we had a long walk and a flight of stairs to go for ice . Lighting was harsh- bulbs in shiny aluminum recessed fixtures with no shades, directly above the heads of the beds. No lamps in the room. Cheap toiletries, though they had free toothbrushes. The breakfast was skimpy, though they had a fancy looking coffee vending machine that appears to make coffee to individual specifications. When we were ready to check out I told my husband not to be even a minute late for fear that we would be charged for another day at the outrageous rate posted on the door. As checkout time approached there was an employee standing outside the room looking in, and another a little way away. There was no pool. My impression is that they have cut every corner possible. The tile and drapes in the lobby are beautiful. And the bed was good. I would pay much higher rates to stay anywhere else and void returning to this hotel.
"VERY DISAPPOINTED, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!"
*1ST DAY, We arrived after the usual check in tm and was told that our rom was not ready and that they could not clean all ## of the rms which is not a guest's problem. *ON THE 2ND DAY of our stay, We left the rm for a few hours and returned to discover that the hotel towels we had used were gone, the room was not serviced and they did not replace the towels. We had to call the front desk to ask for more towels. *One mattress on a wooden platform; beds not comfortable. *The breakfast was not worth going to. There were 2 kinds of cereal, mini honey buns, 2 kinds of juice, and some apples. No hot breakfast at all. Although, this hotel is very close to the Kemah Boardwalk, I don't think that I will be revisiting this location again. The online pics of this place, does it no justice. Sorry this is my honest opinion.
"Overnight stay for boardwalk"

We stayed at this hotel for a trip to the boardwalk this hotel was a great value the rooms were clean and there were smoking rooms available. The only negative that I have is the coffee was not all that great
"Good room, good price and under new management"
10/08/13 cwd2001 Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Friends booked our room and after reading reviews I was skeptical of wanting to stay there. I was pleasantly surprised. No mold in bath areas. Tub had been redone and slip-resistant bottom was so nice I took a picture to see if I could find the same cover for my home tub. No bugs coming from under doors. Didn't try their breakfast as we love eating at Kelly's Diner in League City. Here are my ratings: Minus: thin towels; low power hair dryer (if your hair is long or thick, bring you own hair dryer); light weight blankets(AC on high gets very cold at night); no sheer panel on huge front window. You have to keep the blackout curtin closed if you want privacy and that makes the room very dark; no table lamps; no elevator, no pool. Room had 2 phones but one of them didn't have connection cords. Plus: Lage room and low price; very, very clean; mini-frige/freezer, microwave; comfortable bed; basin & counter is outside the tub/shower/toilet area. thus allowing one person to shower and one to put on makeup; brush teeth, etc.; Bathroom looked like it had all new toilet/tub/shower curtin. I'd recommend this hotel to friends/family.
"Under new management but still mediocre"
06/22/13 Nicole S Sandhurst, United Kingdom
My husband and I stayed here three years ago when it was a Days Inn because it was within our budget and near to Kemah Boardwalk. We were doing a bit of travelling this year and were flying into Houston and as we loved Kemah, thought we'd spend a night there before moving on. This place was once again within our budget and as we now know the area, it made sense to stay here. Since our previous stay, nothing has changed except the management and the sign. We checked in easily enough and our room was what we expected. There is a fridge and a microwave, a living area with a small sofa and a TV over the double bed. The bathroom was clean but the whole place could do with a makeover as the décor is so old fashioned. We didn't find any bugs or burn marks as mentioned by other guests and the sheets were clean but there were scorch marks on the bed spread the last time we stayed here. The toilet broke when I flushed it at 4am and was continually filling so my husband had a look at the cistern and the whole thing was rusty and something had snapped due to this. We were leaving early anyway so didn't report this until a couple of hours later so I can't comment on how quickly it was fixed or anything. For convenience, this is about a 10 minute walk from Kemah Boardwalk (partly along the highway so be careful) and is right near a police station so reasonably safe! Don't bother getting a cab to the Boardwalk as we were ripped off last time we stayed - the cabs come from Houston so bump up their prices to compensate and they charged us $20 for what is about a mile walk! The breakfast is poor - sugar coated cereal, toast and nasty orange juice or coffee but we knew this and had already planned to grab something from Starbucks at the Boardwalk whiulst watching the sunrise (jetlag!). The rooms are basic but very outdated and
"This place ripped me off"
04/30/13 Matt H The Woodlands
I booked a room for Saturday, April 27th. Before travelling to the hotel, a torrential rainstorm and flash flooding caused highways to be closed, including Beltway 8. When I called the hotel, I could barely hear what they were saying because of the weather, rain, and hail. They would only offer a partial refund.
"Just so so....."
10/22/12 Susan L Cedar Park, Texas
Convenient to the Kemah Boardwalk but not a very comfortable bed and there was a bug on top of the sheets when I got up in the morning. Be careful in the shower. The tub is really slick. No kind of texture on the bottom.
"NOT A DAYS INN"
05/13/12 Paul R Bastrop, Texas
This place is now a "Palace Inn" They do not give you your choice privilages points. And the room I reserved, a king room, had no couch. It was not dirty, but was not as nice as the Days Inn's I have stayed at before. It could be that the hotels near the beach get more use............. Was not worth the price, $190 for friday and saturday. The locatian was perfect for the things we were doing so the experience was not bad. Sattelite tv goes in and out during rain. No pool. Continental breakfast is not available unless you like watered down apple juice and fruit loops.
