"Close to all must see sights"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Chisun hotel is centrally located and walking distance to a lot of sights in Ueno and Asakusa area. It is also located in a quiet neighborhood conveniently accessible to the subway station Inarisho stop, five minutes walk to Ueno station and the Keisei skyline which can whisk you to Narita in 40 mins (Y2400) . Small restaurants abound in the area and one can get budget meals. Its a pleasant walk to the Kappabashi kitchen ware street, the Asakusa shrines, the Ameyoko market, Ueno park and museums. The biggest plus factor is the Kotobukiyo Sento (public bath) located a stones throw from the hotel where one can experience hot pools and saunas the Japanese way for only Y500. Enjoyed our stay immensely!
"Good deal for great short term stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
It was right next to the Higash-Shinjuku Station, fantastic! The staff were nice and helpful. They didn't know a lot of English but went out of their way to help me find the post office and surrounding sights to see. I got a single room, and it was pretty small. Although space was lacking, I found how they fit everything in there quite ingenious. The bathroom/shower area was clean. I'm a small person so I didn't have a problem with maneuvering myself in the room, but a bigger person may have some issues. The bed was firm, not too hard, the down comforter was comfy and warm, the AC worked perfectly, the TV had a variety of Japanese programs... sadly no English stations. The hotel is right by Korea Town so there's a lot of Korean food places and at night the streets come alive with eateries and people.

If Tokyo had a Las Vegas, it would be located here. Birthplace of the city’s 1960s disco scene, this area fostered its reputation as the place to party with the more recent inclusion of restaurants, nightclubs, and other forms of entertainment, such as cabarets and hostess clubs. It is also the place to rub shoulders with Western musicians and celebrities.

"Fantastic Hotel"
This is a high class hotel with luxurious rooms. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Location is good but not in the middle of things. Two subway stops to Roppongi.
"wonderful hotel in a quiet area"
The Prince Park Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a quiet business district. We had a room on the 27th floor with fabulous views of the city and Tokyo Tower. The hotel is chic, modern, with many restaurant choices although all very price-y. There is a nice hotel store with lots of food goodies to select from. The subway station is across the street making […] access very easy. The Tokyo Tower is a few minute walk and well worth the visit especially at night. My only complaint which is minor is the lack of restaurant options outside of the hotel but because the subway is so close by, we simply hopped on the train and saw other neighborhoods. Finally, all of the hotel staff spoke English and were very hospitable. Read more
"Overall a nice hotel"
The hotel was nice and the room very spacious for a room in Tokyo. The sky bar and restaurant were great, they have an amazing view of the city and we were lucky to be there on a completely clear night. The location is very convenient to public transportation and some restaurants and cafes. The only down side was that even though we had a non-smoking […] room it was probably located on a smoking floor as you could smell the smoke in the corridor. Read more

"Far from the noise, close to everything else"
This hotel was actually a really nice surprise. Looking at it from the out outside, I definitely didn't expect much. Upon walking inside, I got greeted with the usual Japanese hospitality, but with an actual warm feeling, not like the robotic, "just doing their job routine" like I'm used to in Japan. After getting my room (stayed in a superior queen […] corner), I was shown up to my room, luggage in tote. The room was on the older side, but definitely, nice and clean. The closet was of good size, the restroom had a shower and separate tub, along side an awesome heated seat toilet!! I'm telling you, I didn't think much about this until I first used it, one word - AWESOME! The bed was really comfortable, and the sitting area roomy. The cleaning staff was awesome. There's only one person that cleans your room, ALWAYS, and their name is on a card next to you on the nightstand. Usually, I dump the useless decor pillows and the end bed cover thing, in the closet, but every time I did, it was back on the bed after they cleaned the room. It was as though they wanted the room perfect every time you came back. Room was always cleaned, without a hitch. Internet is free but only a LAN plug in, no WiFi, but it's free! Internet speed is decent for a hotel, but not fast compared to what Japan is using. All in all, a great place to stay that I would be more than happy to come back and stay in. Read more

"Avery large but pleasant hotel"
This hotel has everything, like a small city. Various really good restaurants, very nice spacious and well appointed rooms. The pool and spa area is exceptionally and the staff is always very nice. Cons: breakfast very expensive. I recommend getting fresh croissants at their own bakeryb in the morning and yogurt at the store. The location is a little […] outside of busy areas ,but has a view nice features , like a shrine and restaurant street. Read more
"Great find for a great price"
Wonderful Hotel - I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Tokyo. Everything is new and clean. The room was really large and comfortable; probably the best value for the money of any hotel I have stayed in for the past 4 years (and I stay in a lot of hotels). Staff was very helpful and tried very hard to please. Hotel is only a few minutes walk […] to 3 different metro stations on 2 different lines. We had a great room looking out at the Tokyo Tower. Although it looks like it would be isolated when you look at the map, the proximity to the metro makes it really easy to get anywhere in Tokyo. Would definitely stay there again. Read more

"A great value compared to hotels in major cities"
The daily rate at this 5 star hotel was a bargain that included full breakfast for two, use of exec suite with its free cocktails and snacks, workout room, bowling, and parking in addition to unlimited free internet use. Service and friendliness of the staff could not have been better. I don't know of a better value at any other hotel in the world. I […] travel to Tokyo 4-5x a year and The PPT is home for me while I'm in Tokyo. Read more

"Great pool and sauna and jacuzzi and, and..."
This is a great hotel to enjoy Tokio
"Gorgeous Hotel"
Spectacular hotel at a GREAT rate. There are several Tokyo Metro stations close by, and a beautiful park and Temple grounds near the hotel. One caution -- there is another Prince Park Hotel near the Tokyo Tower, but this is the Prince Park TOWER hotel. We did have one problem with a taxi driver taking us to the wrong hotel, so be careful... Overall, […] VERY high recommendations for this Hotel! Read more
"Amazing Tokyo"
This room was very affordable in this very expensive city! Ask to be on the side of the hotel with a view of the city/Toko Tower - simply breathtaking. The hotel was fabulous, the room was exceptionally clean with all the ammenities you would expect, and more. The staff is top notch & the concierge speaks perfect english and is very helpful in helping […] you plan. Read more
"Great Place to Stay in Central Tokyo"
I was a bit skeptical when I booked this hotel because the price was roughly half of what nearby hotels were charging. Much to my surprise, however, this was a really nice place to stay. I was most impressed when my checkin bellwoman spoke perfect American English. She had lived in the US for years and it was a nice touch to speak with someone in English […] at full-speed and vocabulary. The room was standard for a 4 star hotel in Tokyo, but the internet was free (which is unusual). The hotel is right across the street from a small subway station that can take to either to Roppongi (2 stops) or out to Yamanote ring line. In addition they have a program called 'green cleaning'. If you forgo your room cleaning for a day they give you a 1000 yen coupon to the store in the lobby. It has a great selection of food and drink, nice souvenirs and some simple office supplies, post cards, etc. If you're like me and don't need your room cleaned every day, this is a nice perk. "The Prince Park Tokyo Tower"
The staff was very accomodating, and willing to help us will all of our needs. They had maps and suggestions for the areas that we inquired about, as well as detailed steps for how to get to these locations via the subway, which was very close to our hotel. The restaurants were very expensive at the hotel, and we decided not to eat at any of them due […] to the prices being so high. They also had a bowling salon that had limited hours and was also very expensive. Overall the experience was fantastic, and the staff was exceptional. Read more

"Outstanding service, excellent location"
First and foremost, The Prince Park Tower Tokyo is the place to stay if you are looking for excellent service. From check-in to getting into the bus that would take us back to the airport, I have never seen such outstanding service. The concierge were all extremely helpful with assisting us with questions, suggesting restaurants and attractions and […] giving us directions. The hotel is located in a quaint and convenient area, surrounded by a park and right next to a subway station. It also offers a shuttle to the closest train station, which is a short 15 minute walk. Roppongi Hills, a great shopping and entertainment complex, which offers plenty of restaurants, is less than 10 minutes by taxi. Not to mention that the Tokyo Tower, one of the city's landmark, is literally right next to the hotel and if you get a room with that view you will enjoy its beauty every day. Rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are very luxurious. They offer bath salts for you to enjoy the amazing bathtub with the jets after a day walking around town. The restaurants at the hotel are also a great option. We had western style "all you can eat buffet" breakfast at one of the restaurants on the top floor that overlooks the city. Every department we interacted with offered the most excellent service we have ever experienced in our travels. Another thing to consider is that we saw more Asians (mostly Japanese) than westerners at the hotel during our stay, which must be an indication that it is a hotel where the "locals" stay at. Definitely will stay there again and cannot cease emphasize its greatness! Read more

"Wonderful hotel"
I got a half-price deal from hotels.com and stayed in this wonderful hotel with a view of Tokyo Tower and a beautiful temple and park. Outstanding rooms; quiet; lovely location in Shiba park. Excellent restaurants inside the hotel. Convenient to two subway lines. The only drawback is that there are few restaurants or coffee shops nearby -- you must […] walk or take the metro or taxi to reach places with more activity. One note: The half-price deal does not include breakfast, and breakfast at the hotel is 3000 Yen ($40). It is a great breakfast, but I found it hard to eat $40 worth! An alternative is to buy some delicious pastries in the patisserie in the lobby and enjoy them in your room along with the free hot tea. I'd love to stay there again some time! Read more

"Great Hotel"
The Prince Park Tower was wonderful and the staff were great. The location was not great but then again everything in Tokyo is so spread out I am not sure what would be a great location.
"Prince Park Tower Tokyo - great hotel"
The Prince Park Tower Tokyo is a very nice hotel. Great location convenient to subway and commuter rail lines. Easy access from Narita aboard the N'EX to Tokyo Station then a short JR Line ride to a station that is walking distance to the hotel. Hotel staff was very helpful, check-in was speedy, efficient, and performed at several desks instead of […] standing at a counter. We were escorted to our room and shown how to work the various features. Great views of the skyline and Tokyo Tower from the balcony. Plenty of restaurant choices in the surrounding neighborhood. Convenient shopping within the hotel. The decor in the common spaces was nicely done. Room decor was a bit dated and looked almost like a "cruise ship", but still very comfortable. Very quiet - heard absolutely no noise from outside. Blackout curtains (with automatic operation) made a nice environment for sleep. Entertainment choices were very limited on the TV, even pay services, but that really isn't the point of a visit to Tokyo. Read more
"Great Hotel"
The best hotel in Tokyo, which is an expensive city. The A/C worked well for summer. The helpful concierge service arranged a tour as requested and confirmed all.
"Very nice Hotel"
The Park Price was a very nice hotel. We had a little trouble getting to it the first time (since the website site suggests Damion) but after we found the two much closer stations - it was good. It's not really by anything (besides Tokyo tower) but that's not a problem if you're going other places. Its a pretty high-end place, but the rooms were very […] nice. Whirlpool tubs and glass enclosed shower. The deluxe room had a crazy possessed toilet that open and closed itself. The store in the hotel has a nice bakery. The english here was pretty good, but other hotels were better. On our last day, we asked to find a tourist area of town to buy a couple remaining things like chopsticks (cheesy- yes). The hotel sent us to Ginza - the most expensive shopping district in Tokyo. Nightlife nearby is kind of blah - bars closed by 11pm. Read more

"Great stay at the Prince Park Tower"
We arrived 15 minutes before check-in time and were a bit surprised that we were told to come back after 2:00 PM. The concierge held on to our luggage and when we returned, we were upgraded to a spectacular room on the 30th floor with a panoramic view of Tokyo. The room was loaded with amenities and there were coupons for free cocktails, which we availed […] ourselves to. Also a happy hour with half priced drinks and eats in the basement bar. The downside of the hotel is the need to go traveling to get to restaurants although there is no shortage of great places to get a boxed lunch on the other side of the park. Read more
"Very good hotel, clean, modern, great staff"
We were very pleased with our stay in this hotel. The hotel is very clean and modern. They provide free shuttle service to the train station every 30 minutes. and the subway is a couple blocks away. Very great staff, the conciege were very helpful. Everyone was very polite. We would definetely stay there again.
"Great hotel, centrally located"
Clean, quiet room. Great views. Easy access to major tourist areas such as Rapponggi, Tokyo Tower and others. Two different subway lines within a block.
"Amazing Spot"
Had a great deal for half off the price of a Superior Corner room. Amazing room with all the great ammenities of a luxury hotel in Tokyo. Great view from the 31st floor as well. Only gave a slightly lower mark on cleanliness because the bathtup had hair in it, but didn't even use it, had a great shower and great views even from the bathroom!
"Good & Bad"
Very convenient bakery/shop on premises. Free internet. Everything else, from coffee in the lounge to fitness centre much too expensive. Electronic loo was a bit too much. Very good hotel but a poor choice for a business stay.

"Perfect Location"
This hotel was located in a perfect area which allowed us to grab a quick cup of coffee in the morning and head out to catch the wonderful transit system available within a short walking distance in almost each direction. The grounds were beautiful to walk both day and night and the staff was more than helpful when called upon. Having never been to […] Japan nor speaking with anyone who had, we were extremely pleased with our choice! Read more

"Looks can be deceiving"
Heading to the hotel from Akabanebashi metro station, we weren't very impressed with what it looked like from the outside. It seemed rather drab and run down. But we were pleasantly surprised upon entering the lobby. Simple yet classy. Staff was polite and helpful. Most speak basic English. Rooms are spacious, with typically Japanese thoughtful touches […] everywhere and a nice clean balcony. Wired broadband available in each room. Separated toilet and bathroom which is quite convenient. A sofa bed was available in our deluxe twin room. Nice little garden out the back with a grand view of Tokyo Tower. Jog or take strolls around the garden and surrounding parks. There is a pathway leading to the nearby Zojoji temple as well. The hotel also provides shuttle bus services to Hamamatsucho/Daimon station, and the 2 nearest metro stations (Shibakoen and Akabanebashi) are within 5mins walk. Very convenient. A little pricey even with the promotional price, but that is expected in the world's most expensive city. One gripe is that the gym is not provided free of charge for guests. But you can always jog in the park or down the streets like the rest of the Japanese. ;) Another gripe was that we could not find a direct train/bus to the hotel from Narita Airport Terminal 2. Difficult if you have heavy luggage. Read more
