The resort was almost vacant during our stay, yet our rooms were not available when we arrived at 3:30pm. The staff has one speed - very slow. There was a problem with the water pipes while we were there. We were informed that all water would be off between 2am and 5am and that "if" the water was discolored when service was restored, just to run the […] taps for a few minutes. We had three rooms and we ran all the taps in all three rooms for over three hours and the water was still brown. The water in the toilets was beyond description and the smell was disgusting. There was no apology or offer of service when we informed management - it was impossible to use the bathroom, let alone stay in the room. We felt that the management could have opened the taps in all the vacant rooms to clear out the pipes - instead it seems the few occupied rooms had to deal with the problem. Read more

The Empire has excellent grounds, amenities and an excellent location on the beach front. However the service lets this place down. At one time there was one person on reception dealing with a couple. People, who just wanted a quick question answered, were queueing up behind and eventually leaving the queue as there was just no-one there. Another elderly […] couple were sat at the activities desk for around 5 mins with no staff arriving to book their trips. Eventually one of them joined the line in the reception queue (now two staff managing it) just to get someone to book them a trip. It was the little things like the promptness of attention, information that bugged an otherwise great stay. (We had to phone up every night we got back to have the minibar restocked - why couldn't it be checked and stocked daily? without my call?) I have to say my wife and I enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel itself. Friendly people, good clean hotel with plenty of areas to relax, a cinema to chill in and a country club with extra amenities. We travelled with two children aged 8 & 11, and the experience was fabulous. The weather was hot and humid (which we expected) and the pools were well appreciated. We enjoyed a 2 night stopover on the way back from England, and would thoroughly recommend this. It was a bit daunting coming through the airport though with posters and signs all around […] about the death penalty for drug traffickers as this brought up all sorts of interesting questions with our children. Just make sure you drink lots of water; it is easy to become dehydrated with hours of swimming. Because the water is so warm you can swim for hours but forget that you are physically exerting yourself (particularly the kids if they can't touch the bottom of the pool - the lagoon pool was a depth of 1.5m for the majority of the pool which was too deep even for some of the grown-ups). Spent a week at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive and our bedroom and bathroom were very luxurious. There was quite a bit of maintenance going on and the lagoon was a muddy sandbank, which was a pity. It would have been nice to have been informed at the time of booking that this was happening. The […] hotel, which is very big, was extremely quiet and meant on a few evenings we were the only couple eating in the restaurant, of which there are 5 but on the plus side there were times when we had the pool all to ourselves...heaven! On the whole, I didn't feel the restaurants offered good value for money. The best we found was the Chinese, which served a delicious choice of dishes but the most dissapointing was the Italian restaurant, which was promoted as serving authentic Italian dishes but in fact all it offered were very poor pizzas....and no pasta dishes at all! There are all you can eat buffets available at some of the restaurants on certain days, which offer better value but I'm not a fan! The golf course is pretty impressive and worth the money if you're a keen golfer. The course is well maintained...but take a good supply of balls! Quick tip. If you are over 50 and happen to be there on a Monday and I think it applies to Tuesday as well, the green fees are reduced, which was a good thing! This hotel claims to be 6 star, which it may have been once upon atime, but it's not anymore. The hotel is enormous in size but lack atmosphere due to the limited number of guests. The country club has excellent facilities and there is a cinema located within the premises, but don't expect to see the latest and greatest movies as the range of movies shown is limited. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with marble walls and gold plated taps a feature in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and generally helpful and the restaurants were ok, if not a little pricey. If this hotel was positioned in a better location it would be a standout. The Empire is a very strange hotel. It seems as if in many ways it is is trapped in the 1980's big and bling is better kind of style. It is far from a 5 star hotel these days with many parts needing basic maintenance. 設備や接客は申し分ないです。とても素晴らしい所に泊まることができました。ベッドはとても寝心地がよかったです。しかし、やはり不便な立地、軽食や雑貨を買えるところが無い、食事が高いなどは、滞在して気楽に旅行を楽しむという点では自分にとっては場違いと感じてしまいました。シャワー室の水はけが悪く、バスルーム全般が水浸しになってしまいました。部屋の温度の調節がうまくできず、少し寒かったです。雨の多い土地にも関わらず、各建物が離れているので、雨を気にしないとならないです・・・。

좋은 분위기를 위해 비치뷰-를 신청했는데 다른 예약자 분들은 가든뷰-가 더 낳을듯 합니다. 뷰가 그리 좋지 않습니다. 더 많은 비용을 지불해가며 바라볼 바다가 아니라는 겁니다. 체크인시 처음에는 1층방만 있다하여 윗층을 청소시간까지 기다리며 들어간 3층방! 샤워룸에 하수도까지 막혀 수리 요청을 했는데도 불구하여 저녁에 들어와 샤워를 하자 여전히 막혀 욕실은 또 한강이 되었습니다. 휴- 밥먹고 있는데 옆에서 청소를 하고- 휴- 이러했습니다. 호텔이 궁금하신분들은 브루나이 시내에서 묵으시다가 하루정도만 가든뷰로 신청하여 스테이 하십시요!

入室時から配管から悪臭がありました。２日目にメンテナンスに何回も電話をしてきてくれましたが、夜中になってからいっそうひどくなり、部屋を変えてもらいました。部屋の清掃もテーブルにほこりがあったり、掃除機はかけてない感じです。もっとも、建物自体は大理石がふんだんに使われている吹き抜けの大ホールがあったり豪華です。子供が喜ぶボーリング、ビリヤード、卓球もあり楽しめました。

L'emplacement n'est pas du tout pratique si vous souhaitez visiter Brunei. Pas très loin du centre (20 min en taxi) mais pas d'autre moyen de transport que les taxis... très chers. On m'a donné les horaires d'un bus local (1 dollar de Brunei) lors du check-in, pour m'informer 10 minutes plus tard que le service était suspendu... et qu'il fallait y aller […] en taxi (35 dollars de Brunei...). Si ce n'est que pour rester à l'hôtel alors il est parfait. En revanche la grande piscine extérieure était en réparation. Pas demandé non plus si je souhaitais une chambre non-fumeur ou fumeur. 敷地内の設備は非常に良かった。ボーリング場、ゴルフ場、サイクリング、プール等々。 但し、水廻りの設備・メンテナンスが非常に悪い。まず、バスタブにお湯を貯めたところ、大量の砂が出てきた為、メンテナンスに修理依頼したが、お湯を大量に流してもう直りました、最近使ってなかったのが理由、と説明して帰っていく始末。 その後、案の定、あいも変わらず大量の砂が出た為、フロントに抗議するも対応なし。 バスルーム、トイレも配水管が壊れているのか、終始部屋の中じゅう汚水の臭いがして気分が優れませんでした。 ブルネイでは最高級ということで他に良いホテルがないとすれば、今後よいホテルが出来るまではブルネイには来れないと感じました。非常に残念です。

ホテルは、評判通りとてもすばらしい建物で施設も充実してましたが、 スタッフの人数が足りないのか、チェックイン時に部屋への案内なども無く、 ベッドメーキングや掃除もあまり行き届いていない感がありました。 朝食も普通で、他の有名ホテル５つ星と比べると、 サービス面で少し見劣りするというのが正直な感想です。
