We stay in King City for Rodeos and this by far has been out best experience staying in a hotel in king City! The hotel room was clean and slightly refurbished and large. It was quiet even though right off the freeway. We will stay there again for the next rodeo!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"As good as it gets in King City"
This motel is minimal, like all that I saw in King City. It has a welcoming and efficient staff, is conveniently located near a freeway exit (but is nevertheless quiet, at least on the side facing away from the freeway), and is clean and rooms are reasonably well equipped. I was satisfied with my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Martin Sheen's Choice & Mine, Too!"
Keefer's Inn has very clean and comfortable accommodations located in close proximity to the freeway and very affordable. We stayed there overnight on our way to San Francisco. We arrived a little after midnight...just in time for comedy hour by one of the owners, Deep. He was very pleasant and expected us which made us feel welcome. Our check-in was […] smooth and easy. When we arrived in the room, the rooms were nicely appointed, clean and just what we needed after a long drive. The bed was perfect...melted into the softness. In the morning, Deep's wife greeted us and engaged in pleasant chit-chat during the continental breakfast which was decent. I noticed a picture on the wall with Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez and she explained that the Sheen Family had stayed in their hotel every year on their annual trip for years. I understood why. "Good but not great"
The fan worked well but the A/C didn't work properly. It was like a good fan with no cooling. The fan was positioned poorly causing the curtains to be blowing out and not circulating the air into the main areas of the room very well. Everything was good otherwise and this might be the best place to stay in this small town.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Got what I paid for. Why does everyone have to come home drunk at 1 am, yell in the parking lot, and then slam their doors. This seems to be universal everywhere. Just a lot of very rude travelers out there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great stop for a road tip"
Perfect overnight stop on our way to Northern Caifornis. Easy to find, bed was fine and hit the road early in the day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Continental breakfast was sparse but enough to get the day going. Inn could use some sprucing up. Desk attendant cordial and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Keefers has always been a decent place to stay. We have stayed there many times in the past and have always found the nearby restaurant quite good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"King City Surprise"
With 2 stars we were not expecting much and were very surprised by the cleanliness, comfortable new mattresses and quality towels. Very quiet (midweek stay). We will stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night stay, just passing through."
Only stayed one night, just passing through .Made reservations on Expedia. Clean, but older hotel. Appears has had paint upgrades in the room. Coffee pot and blow drier in the room. Direct TV remote control somewhat confusing. Location right off the highway. Close to other amenities. Restaurant across parking lot. Pool and hot tub pretty small. I personally […] would not stay for extended periods, but would recommend it as a reasonable priced placed to stay for the money. Front office staff was friendly. Simple Continental breakfast provided. Overall did have a good experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Better than expected"
Despite the drab exterior and surroundings, this hotel was surprisingly cheerful and high tech inside the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Older and inexpensive but needs attention."
King City was a convenient half way point on my drive. Chose this hotel based on reviews, but was disappointed with the lack of maintenance in the room. Air conditioner blew "cool air" not cold air. Cold water faucet in bath room barely worked and made a loud squealing sound. They advertise a "continental" breakfast. Kind of a joke. Cheap packaged pastry […] and a banana. I have been in much worse hotels, but I guess you get what you pay for. The guy at the desk was friendly enough. Can't say that I would never stay there again, but would not go out of my way to find it either. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Musty and Damp"
My kids and I were on a two week road trip and only staying 1 night at every hotel. This was our first hotel and it was disappointing. There was a damp, musty smell and feeling as soon as we opened the door. Bed was ok, but trying to sleep was difficult due to the dampness. The continental breakfast was apples and individually packaged Danish like you'd […] get out of a vending machine. There's a restaurant 50 feet away which is expensive for the area and food. $12 for a tuna sandwich? $15 for a burger? No thanks. Burger King is across the street. My suggestion ? Drive another 50 miles and stay in Salinas at the Laurel Inn. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient Stop Over"
I was headed for the MotoGP race in Laguna Seca on Sunday July 21st. All the hotels in the immediate vicinity were booked up and the Keefer Inn was a good alternative as it is still close enough. The room was clean, comfortable and quietGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice motel for the traveler"
Nice family-operated hotel. The decor was a bit faced, but the rooms were spacious and the bed was comfy. Definitely recommended for the traveler. The price was very good for the facilities offered.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel for a one night stay."
The motel is next to the freeway, so there is a little noise. But since its in King City, California, the traffic is light. The nearby restaurant is owned by the same people and is good. I would recommend it for a budget, one night stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was spacious, and they ended up upgrading ( for free) me to a bigger room so I could have a non smoking room. If it would have been cleaner, I would have given it more stars.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
please they should stop advertising by saying free breakfast. there was no breakfast and it was a joke......just coffee and an apple. that's breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wildflower Triathlon stay"
Stayed here prior to the Wildflower race. Great place, surprisingly updated. Very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed at better, but not for $69 a night. The hotel was a good value for the rate. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The desk clerk was friendly and welcoming.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best room on a budget"
This was a great value for a budget place to stay. The room was well appointed and appears to have been renovated. For the price range the room was better than average. The breakfast was sparse. The friendliness of the hotel staff mad a huge difference, they were genuinely happy to have us there. I could hear the freeway noise but the bed was so comfortable […] that I fell right asleep and did not wake in the night. Very close to grocery store and fast food in this small town. "Solid good hotel"
I would say it is little better then average for the price level. Has couple of fast foods and cheep gas station nearby.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel managers were very friendly and helpful in providing information regarding nearby Pinnacles National Park. The pool was not clean, and had no lighting at night. The room itself was quite comfortable and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Need to give yourself a rest? Here's a good place."
This hotel is good for a one-night stopover. There isn't much to see in the town, but the hotel experience was cheerful and the staff was warm and friendly. A fine restaurant is adjacent to the hotel itself, and the whole complex is easily identified from the highway.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Try the Hotel accross the Freeway.!"
FACTS ABOUT THE BATHROOM: The bathroom needs maintenance. the toilet seat was discolored, and missing a hold-down cap. the floor tile showed the absents of tile due to a remodel of different appliances put in. the bath-tub faucets had broken mirror back splash. The bath-tub drain was rusty. "Good Stay in a Small Town."
The hotel is not new, but it is clean and well-maintained. Everything in the room worked. Room was very spacious and the heater worked well on a very cold night. Only negative was the lady that checked me in. She was a litlle crabby and not very customer-service oriented. Other than that one thing, my entire stay went very well. I would definitely stay […] here again if I am in the area again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to 101 highway"
The hotel clerk was sarcastic and rude. When I asked for two pillows he seemed very put out and then said he had to get them from laundry. As I was coming in from the car in the rain carrying bags, he saw the door was slightly opened and just threw the pillows in the room with one of them landing on the floor. I have never seen anything that rude before […] at a motel or hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the price."
The room was a good value and clean. The bathroom was just a bit small though. We might stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not so much"
The outside temperature was cooler than the air conditioned room. In other words, it didn't work. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. The room faced an open field where flies would come in if you left the door open, so you have do rely on the AC (which didn't work).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Probably the nicest hotel in King City..."
I will admit that I can be somewhat of a hotel snob. However, this place was perfectly fine for our one-night stopover on the way to Monterey. I found the room to be comfortable and clean. The towels are small, the water pressure was low, and the advertised pool was totally out-of-order, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to […] stay. It is right off the 101 and close to a grocery store, gas stations, etc. The staff was competent, but not exactly warm and friendly. Still, I believe you will not find a better place to stay in this town. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"surprisingly excellent hotel"
don't let the exterior fool you, the rooms in the hotel are beautiful for the price. Apparently it has had a complete make-over so everything was clean, fresh and comfortable. The owners/hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Drive further to get a better hotel"
The person who checked me in/out couldn't decide if he wanted to be friendly or rude. He tried to compliment and be humorous one minute, then the next he was chastising me for having the keycard between my teeth. The bathtub had leftover sticky stuck from a bathmat, and it was dirty. Also, the toilet didn't flush properly. The bed was comfortable, […] though. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"It's OK...for a night or two"
This place recently went through a remodel, but they didn't go far enough. My room was clean but had an icky bedspread/comforter on it that I put in the closet because I wasn't sure when it had last been washed. The internet connection was iffy. Big plus...a nice dorm-sized fridge and microwave in the room. Also a very nice wide screen TV with all the […] good cable channels. Also coffee machine, coffee supplies, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and a nice chair to read in, so the rooms are well-appointed. The staff was helpful and friendly, but the lobby needs to be spiffed up..evidently the owners live in the back, and you can tell. The pool looked clean, but it was small and unattractive. This motel is conveniently located on Rt 101 in King City, so it's a good stop if you're traveling between LA and San Francisco, but there is nothing going on in King City itself. A few chain restaurants, fast food, a drug store and a grocery store are nearby. Free breakfast was offered, but it was mostly stale cereal in big plastic containers and some mediocre pastries. Overall nice friendly atmosphere, clean and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good choice if you need a hotel in the King City area. A simple 2-star motel with decent rooms (flat screen TV, cable channels) but a poor excuse for a breakfast. Should be properly titled a stand-up continental breakfast. It's served on a counter in the tiny motel lobby. Better choice might be one of several breakfast cafes nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Motel, but continental breakfast..."
...should not be mentioned. There will be a couple of breakfast items waiting for you in the front office, no breakfast room and NO milk with your cereal. Room was great and I gave them the best rating, but I'd like to see the word MOTEL mentioned so I'm not thinking I booked a hotel room with a decent complimentary breakfast in a separte breakfast […] room in the morning. I have kids. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
