I paid expensive price for Superior Double Room, I was on top floor, but there must be a water tank or something next to my room, it made lots of noise, at one point i thought it was firework in the city. I couldn't sleep because of the noise, I am very disappointed, and to add that, I got a exam next day and that is the reason I stayed in the hotel […] and hoping it would be a quite environment for me to do some revision....... Breakfast was advertised at £8.50 on hotels.com actual cost £10 Hot breakfast was actually cold! However this may have been a bad hair day for chefGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for money"
Stayed for one night with my young family. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was ample size for all four of us. We intentionally chose a room without breakfast, and were easily able to pay for it separately in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Professional and friendly service -"
I have already sent a letter to the Administration of the hotel an an e-mail. -As expressed above I enjoyed my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good central hotel"
Good hotel but a bit bland, food good and close to the shops and easy for transport links.Genuine Expedia guest review
Looks very grand when you walk in but the rooms are very standard travel inn style. Staff were very inconsistent. Our room was prepaid and we didnt have to swipe our credit card in case of damages but our friend had to. We asked the lady by the rest. how much breakfast was, she said it was £5 for kids. In the morning it turns out that kids eat free […] for breaky. It may have just been our room but it took ages to find the correct position for the shower tap to avoid being frozen or being burnt. Overall, if u're staying for one night then none of the above are show stoppers but wouldnt definitely seek alternative if u're staying any longer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I booked This hotel for me and 4 friends who where meeting up to go out for some drinks so the the location is great as it's right in the heart of the Bedford Place area of pubs and bars and close to town too. The rooms and bathroom were clean and comfy and the staff were friendly. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"hotel on a roundabout"
very poor. I've stayed in other Jurys Inns and have enjoyed them but this one was in very poor condition, with sticky tables in the restaurant , dirty windows in the room and in a very unpleasant part of town. Understand it was a budget option but really wish I'd spent a few more quid to get something even slightly more pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Suitable for a night out on the town"
No parking. Lots of luggage....therefore immediate impression after a long drive was that of dread. Hopefully the hotel wouldn't disappoint.... Well, i entered the building and there was a queue of greasy students from the reception to the door. Clearly this is a hotel venue more suitable for travellers wishing to experience a night on the tiles. Put […] me off. I subsequently forfeited my non refundable room cost and travelled 90mins to my mothers house where I slept on her couch. Trust this helps solidify the public this hotel is clearly aiming at With Novotel, Ibis, holiday inn, De Vere etc all nearby, which offers fitness facilities, parking and equally ideal locations I have no reason to ever consider this hotel again. Particularly like proximity to park; also the mall on other side of latter. This was our second time (2010) and it confirmed our first impression.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A nice hotel, not too far from transportation routes and well presented. Near some local entertainment but not too central that it is chaotic. Ideal for a quiet stay, but food needs a lot of work. Staff were excellent and room lovely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I guess you get what you pay for"
The room was old and needs refreshing, the bathroom was better. Walls are paper thin so I could hear every detail of the phone call in the next room. Bed was comfortable, room had air conditioning. All in all it was adequate. The location was ok near the park, but the town center is 15 minutes walk away. 10 pounds per day for Internet access was scandalous. […] I ended to be near the city center but next time I think one of the hotels out near the motorway will be better. I have stayed in the Hilton and he Travel Lodge. Both a bit more costly but both much nicer Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
All of the staff we came across were great very helpful and all seem to enjoy working there. Room was fine apart from the sofa bed which badly required a new mattress. Location could have been better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
VERY COMFORTABLE AND PLEASANT PLACE TO STAY FOR ONE NIGHT ON BUSINESS.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall our stay was good but there was a long wait for bar food in the evening. Handy parking within walking distance and the A/C was a welcome relief in the hot weatherGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel room is in great need of upgrading. looks worn out and tired. Hotel was a convenient location to the University and downtown. Parking underground as a fee which is discount to £6 on validating your parking voucher. Restaurant food is ok. Staff helpful and friendlyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Hotel if you can get it at a sensible price"
Jurys is good, but sometimes rather overpriced. Clean, comfortable room and helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great hotel near the middle of town"
This hotel is situated on an island .it is surrounded by quite busy roads, this was no detriment at all, the location is perfect near the centre of Southampton. A very pleasent stay overall.Genuine Expedia guest review
"More expensive than competitors."
Looking a little tired; breakfast is expensive for what you get especially compared with similar hotels.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel in Southampton"
The front desk staff were not too helpful on giving information about where to go and how to get their. I asked for a map of Southampton and they gave me a photocopy of a map from the computer that was too dark and the print was too small to read. They could easily go to the tourist board and get 50 maps of the city for their guests.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The staff make this hotel special."
The staff are extremely helpful and could not have done more to help. Restaurant menu is limited but the quality is quite good, restaurant can be noisy early on so best to book a later table if you want peace and quite. Very central area 10 minutes walk to the Mayflower Theatre.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great help at reception"
Had some problems with documents that were very ably and cheerfully sorted out for me by Maria at reception. She couldn't have been more helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than expected"
Given previous ratings we were pleasantly surprised about the quality of the hotel, the staff, the food and the genial atmosphere. The only drawback is that there are no smoking rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel for a stop over/city break"
Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. Parking was offered at a discounted rate. Bar prices weren't too bad. Great location within easy walking distance of pubs, restaurants and the city centre.Genuine Expedia guest review
"peppa pig oink oink"
Staff were excellent. We had bar meals and was reasonable. Would stay again and that I think that is the ultimate compliment for a hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was impressed with how spacious the room was, it was clean and well laid out. The toilet did not fush however which was disappointing. Other than that, I would rate the hotel v highly in relation to the cost.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too busy, no room service"
We found this hotel too expensive for the service provided. From the outside it looks nice, but the rooms and corridors are old and tacky. The double bed in our room was small but comfortable. There's a food menu but no room service. The hotel car park was full and we had to park our car in a council car park, outside. The neighbourhood seems a bit […] problematic, but there's a decent park with trees and benches nearby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel,comfortable, large bathroom"
Happy with my stay, nice friendly staff, clean bedroom, comfy bed with large bathroom. Would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ideal hotel for visiting Southampton"
Very good comfortable accommodation but facilities limited. Room (although superior) was small and confined for space. The lack of a room safe and a fridge were disadvantages. The central situation of the hotel is ideal for visiting and shopping in the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
Central location - walking distance to city centre shops & restaurants through adjacent park. Staff friendly & helpful. Easy car parking beneath the hotel - £6 for overnight stay. Ports close by - we were catching an early ferry to Isle-of-wight the following morning which was just a 5min drive away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel, good value"

"Ok room but the resaurant was terrible"
Ok room, ok location, the girls at the overprised restaurant worked as good as they could but they cant have any learning about the jobGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very clean and spacious room at heart of the city. only problem is there is parking. There are very few at the hotel but those get filled up in no time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel for anyone"
First visit to Southampton, also first time in a Jurys Inn, we found it all a very pleasing experience, Comfort of room was very good, also breakfast selection, but was a bit disappointed with dinner.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great room if you get a discounted price>"
The room was clean and comfortable. For the room rates I would have expected to be able to get room service. Not sure I would have paid the full rate for the room we had.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient and comfortable"
Close to amenities, the port and rail and coach stations.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok for a cheap hotel"
Don't expect the best, this is Travelodge standard, that's why its cheap. Its ok but there was a really noisy fan cutting in and out all night which kept me awake. I complained to reception and they said they would let maintenance know. No offer of compensation. Premier Inn would have given me my money back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We checked in without fuss despite a large party arriving at the same time, the room was clean and spacious however I had booked a superior one. Then we went to eat, decided on the bar as it was quite late...it said to order at the bar, then told to wait at table and order would be taken, ten minutes later I had to find someone. Ordered and after half […] an hour went to enquire as to how long as another couple said they had been waiting an hour. I wasn't willing to do the same. The chap said they were very busy. I might have accepted this if the staff were dashing about and the manager was assisting but they were no where to be seen. Won't be going back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent Service, Nice Clean Room"
The staff were very helpful and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. Could not ask for more from a last minute (unscheduled!) stay. Would stay there again. Good central location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"ok for short stay"
Good points - Location centter of town - staff friendly and helpful Bad points - This is the first hotel I have stayed are where you are charged for WIFI access - Entrance to my room was from the lift lobby so noise was an issue when trying to sleep - Poor lighting in the room, very dingy Didn't eat any food in the restaurant so I can't comment on […] the food Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good value for money"
My friends & I only stayed for 1 night. Check-in was very quick and the lady at the front desk was really helpful & accomodating. As we had 2 rooms, she arranged for us to have connecting rooms. I think that the door that connects the 2 rooms isn't opened very often hence why there was so much dust! Other than that, the room was comfortable. Parking […] is available beneath the hotel (Charlotte Place car park) which is reasonably priced. Overall the hotel was good value for money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Erratic water temperature"
We were warmly welcomed and checked in quickly. We did find that the water temperature changed dramatically whilst using the shower. Good location for what we needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Eat out if you can!"
Food for the adults was not good and expensive. They don't really seem geared up for children - no kids plates or cutlery. The kids food came on enromous plates and the portion was huge!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central Hotel to all sights"
The overall stay wasn't bad. The room was a good size and looked clean and tidy. The room contained all the usual amenities and were to an ok standard. The only complete downside was that we were woken about 5am due to the thiness of the walls and ceilings. when a crowd of people arrived screaming and shouting and had no consideration for other guests.
