We just got back from a week at Tensing Pen and had a wonderful stay. We booked the Red Birch cottage, 2bd, 2ba and it was perfect. I spent two whole weeks at Tensing Pen. It was a fabulous time. The food was exceptional. especial the Okie and salt fish for breakfast. But they also served a delicious french toast with a banana syrup. Not to forget the seafood linguini which was priced right. The best was the atmosphere and staff. Amazing views of the caribbean sea on the cliffs. The hotel room was always kept cleaned and organized. The staffs were accomodating and a pleasure to meet. The hotel is beautiful beyond words. The grounds were always cleaned. Had a wonderful and relaxing time!

Our stay was very nice. All of the staff were friendly and always helpful. No air conditioning but there was always a nice breeze no TV but free wi fi is good. Food was delicious and drinks were great. We made lots of friends and enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is in " top shape" quoting Razorblade who is the best bartender. We had fun. The staff is great like Owen and Webster. We will definitely come back. I'm still craving the Green Seafood Linguine. Definitely is one of the best resort in Negril.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Tensing Pen. It sits on the west end of Negril Jamaica on the cliffs. It does not offer a beach but has a pool facing the ocean by the cliffs and plenty of secluded chairs by the ocean to relax. We enjoyed jumping and diving from the bridge and cliffs; no need to worry the water is very deep. The resort did offer a continental […] breakfast which was very limit to toast and several fruits. There was always water, tea and coffee available all day. We walked to the famous Ricks Cafe which offered great food, drinks and watched the locals dive from the cliffs. Lay out on the exposed coral, jump in from the bridge, and remember to pet Tensing and Sugar (the two very chill and very large Ridgeback dogs at the hotel. Excellent overall experience. This hotel is one of a kind with amazing views and private experience. Very romantic setting. Pillar rooms allow for a true tropical experience. However, with that comes bugs... Definitely recommend bringing bug spray and sleeping with clothes on to avoid bites. Rooms are mostly screened in, but inevitably, all could not […] be kept out. Do not be deterred because of this, but something to be aware of before travel. Hotel staff were average, but not as friendly as most other Jamaicans we met. The bartender Sheldon aka Razor is awesome... friendly and funny definitely heightened the experience with amazing cocktails and personality. The included breakfast selection was great, with more than enough food to start the day. Lunch selections were average, but dinner was wonderful. Would definitely recommend going out of the resort for meals and trying the local food. i.e. Jam-Can for patties, Salt & Pepper for Lobster Burritos, Ras Rody (across the street) for vegetarian, and Hungry Lion for Dinner. The local food was amazing. Ricks Cafe is a close walk and is something to see, but very commercial. Also check out the lighthouse, climb to the top and check out LTU for lunch on the way back. Overall, Tensing Pen is a great experience for Travel. Mostly if you like to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, amazing views, and enjoying the one you love. Are you looking for a fun, clean, slightly secluded resort? Then Tensing Pen is it! Located on the CLIFFS in Negril, you are about a 10 minute taxi ride to town and a 15 taxi ride to the beach. They did an awesome job setting up the rocks area to jump from the cliffs. It feels approachable and it's fun! You have to jump from the bridge too! The restaurant […] overlooks the pool and the water, which is also beautiful! The environment feels like you're away from the rest of the world - a relaxation dream! It seems that all the rooms are separate from each other (with thatched roofs!), and have their own privacy. There is a lot of greenery which gives it a great "jungle" vibe. Our room was perfect. The private porch was awesome for relaxing and getting away from the sun for a bit. In the room there was a mini fridge, iron board, fan, mosquito net canopy bed, and all the usual bathroom stuff. No hair dryer, but I think you can borrow from the office. They offer continental breakfast: coffee, fresh juice, fruit, toast. You can optionally buy eggs, french toast, pancakes. The staff is SUPER nice and welcoming. They offer lots of help with getting to places around town too. They'll call a taxi for you too. Just a few things to note: There are a few restaurants that are walkable, but most of them are in town or by the beaches. The WIFI is hit or miss at the hotel. Eine wunderschöne kleine, private Anlage direkt in den Felsen am Ende des Strandes von Negril, ganz im Westen...17 kleine mit Palmblättern gedeckte Häuschen allerdings mit sehr kleinen Betten (nichts für ein kräftges Paar) Ebenso nichts für lärmempfindliche Menschen, denn die Strasse geht unmittelbar an der Anlage vorbei und irgendwelche Hunde bellen […] immer. Die Fenster haben Landestypisch keine Glasscheiben, daher sind Ohrstöpsel zu empfehlen. Das Restaurant kocht gut, die Tische sind direkt am Felscliff und man kann im Sonnenuntergang dinieren. Was wir allerdings nicht verstehen können ist, daß bei Zimmern für 300,00 Dollar die Nacht als Frühstück Filterkaffe und Erdnuss Toast gereicht werden. Für diese Preisklasse nicht akzeptabel, daher können wir keine 5 Punkte geben. Read more
