Nothing fancy here, and in much need of an update. This affordable hotel is perfect if you do not plan to spend much time in the hotel. Just a place to sleep and shower. Adequate continental breakfast (no hot food, besides the waffle maker).

The owner was very nice and I had an nice stay, the room was very comfortable, and price reflected overabundance of rooms in the area, but there was smoking in the stair towers. I mentioned this to the owner, and hope he will install signs and sweep up the numerous butts in the stairs and surrounding parking area. This hotel is not in good condition. It's located in a small lot next to the interstate. Driving in I got the impression that my car might not be safe, which was reinforced when I saw where a security camera used to be but had been removed. The check in desk is located behind a bulletproof window, further adding to a sense of insecurity. Many areas […] of the motel look like they're falling apart and haven't been tended to in decades. My room, which was supposedly non-smoking, was sandwiched between two smoking rooms, and smelled of stale smoke that creeps in. The room was not thoroughly cleaned, but this was due mainly to the poor condition of the room (the housekeepers seemed to do the best they could with what little there was to work with). We had narrowed down hotel choices in Colorado Springs between this hotel and a few others due to price and location. We had 3 adults and a baby. The ad for Super 8 promised 2 Queens, it was the only choice in the price range that offered 2 Queen beds. All of the others only had 2 Full sized beds. So we went with Super 8. We arrived to find 2 Full sized […] beds. The hotel was old and shabby. The staff was friendly enough, but I was too disappointed over the bait and switch with the beds that I didn't really care. Keep in mind this is an older building, which with minor repairs could become a great price. This hotel is old and shabby. There is no landscaping as it seems to be plopped right in the middle of a parking lot which definitely gives it a ghetto feeling. The hotel was full, and the air conditioning simply could not keep up. (We should have known that the front door being propped open upon arriving was not a good sign.) We opened the window as […] we felt the outside night air was cooler, and discovered there was no screen! Our TV had static/crackling issues the longer we kept it on. The elevator is SLOW, plus there was a homemade sign limiting passengers to 5. Perhaps it is about to die. Also, the shower seemed to have a limited amount of water pressure. The room was fairly clean, but the tiled hallway outside the room was not. I only saw a staff member two times, but they were pleasant. The breakfast was pretty basic, but the waffles kept our cadet happy. We stayed here as a last resort during USAFA Parent's Weekend as most northern Colorado Springs hotels were full, but never again. I will stay in southern Colorado Springs and drive more next time. Cheap hotel, water heater was out when we arrived and dirty water after it was fixed. Rooms clean, but dingy. Hall ways smokey even in the non-smoking floors. Didn't feel safe after dark outside. Staff was pretty friendly and waffles for breakfast.

The hotel is dated and in great disrepair, but my room was clean, the staff was nice, and the beds were comfortable. There is a waffle machine, along with some cold items, for breakfast each morning. I have stayed in several hotels around this area, and this is the best of the budget hotels.

Very Good! There were some immediate technical problems with the room, but the staff got those fixed as soon as possible, and for that I was appreciative. Despite the fact that they shouldn't have been a problem in the first place, the next best thing happened, and it was fine. Wi-fi connection was good, and a helpline was provided that got me connected. […] The breakfast was only a continental one, the same every day, and the healthy fare were probably the hard boiled eggs and maybe the Raisin Bran (whole grain), but the rest was junk-food, like packaged waffle batter that you help yourself to if you want waffles, and what appeared to be brown-colored white bread for toast. No fresh fruit or anything, but still, if you're in a hurry, and you need something quick, this "meal" will suffice, and they have coffee too - nothing special. There is a Starbucks up the street if you really need a quality cup of Joe. Overall, I got a decent room, accommodating service, and a morning snack, and it was for a very worthwhile price. I would go back in a heartbeat, and I recommend it to you all. Another thing, I didn't realize till near the end, that it is located by one of the big must-see tourist sites, The Garden Of The Gods, and just a few blocks up the adjacent street is the famous craft-brewery: Trinity Brewing. The location is convenient to I-25, and the majority of the interesting places in Colorado Springs are within twenty minutes of the motel. The room was very comfortable and pleasant (loved the shower!) with cable TV, a coffee maker, microwave oven, and small refrigerator. I stay in an Super 8 we had Iron ironing board ful bathroom microwave and a small refrigerator and breakfast did not received any of that just breakfast. The air conditioner didn't work the first night; the staff did repair it for the 2nd night (when the weather was colder and we didn't need it.) The breakfast wasn't up to what we expect from Super 8. The staff didn't engage at all. The building showed some wear with no evidence of repairs being under way.

PROS: The young lady who checked me in was terrific. I had booked two rooms, one for three nights and one for two nights. She was able to get both rooms side by side. She even gave me a break on the pet fee ($30, instead of $45). The hotel is right next to I-25, so there was no problem finding it. The surrounding area contains a plethora of restaurants. […] The TV and radio worked fine. CONS: The hotel reeked, and I mean reeked, of curry. The second room I booked had a totally funky smell to it that I can't even describe. The air conditioner had to be fiddled with constantly in both rooms. Both ACs blew directly on the beds, making it quite uncomfortable no matter how we jerry rigged them. The rooms are tiny and barely fit two queen beds and a table. The beds were, as usual, hard as bricks. You could open the window, but there was no screen. SUMMARY: If you have to stay overnight, you could do worse. For a longer stay, spend the money and choose another hotel. Read more
