Ghe hotel was very clean and the service was great. It was a short walk to town but would not like to walk back in the late evening. Room included free wifi and parking. Good hotel for an overnight stay.

The hotel was fine - room a little small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. The hotel is right downtown with an entrance "hidden" under the street's arcade. The traffic in La Rochelle was awful and the streets were tiny. Since it took 4 tries to find the hotel (yes, even with a GPS) we were a little frazzled to say the least when we finally pulled in.

The hotel opened fairly recently and is not yet up to its advertised standards. For instance, internet connectivity is not available in all rooms, and some rooms have foul-smell problems. Once these problems have been fully addressed, this should be a pretty good 4-star hotel. The restaurant is to be recommended - food is good, with fairly reasonable prices.

We arrived at 9 pm and were able to change our room booking from one to two rooms without a problem. A delicious hot meal was served as soon as we were ready, with wine and beer, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

"Hotel calme"
Hotel calme qui vieillit bien...cependant des accès à certaines chambres à revoir. Petit déjeuner impeccable. Chambre à revoir l'entretien..(porte placard cassé).

"Hôtel Campanile à Tonnay-Charente"
Il m' a fallu plus de dix minutes à l'arrivée pour que la receptionniste trouve trace de ma réservation, heureusement que j'avais imprimé un double de celle-ci, elle a du vous téléphoner pour avoir des précisions sur le réglement effectué, et le lendemain matin rebelote avec une nouvelle réc eptionniste qui n'était pasau courant et nous a fait "poireauter" […] encore dix minutes.Nous avions déjà eu des problèmes avec cet hôtel et cette nouvelle tentative ne nous incite pas du tout à y retourner. Bon accueil, mais chambre très limite, limite "vétuste": boutons d'éclairages inversés, et cela ne doit pas dater d'hier, poignée de porte de la salle d'eau qui vous reste dans la main..... trous divers et variés dans les murs....... bruits de voisinage.
