"Squaw Valley Lodge Review"
Quiet, comfortable. Close to lifts and entertainmentGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, outdated rooms"
The location being right in the village at squaw is great, but the hotel is very dated. Everything seems to be from the 80's. The bed was really uncomfortable, and the pillows on the couch had a bad odor that was mildewy and we left them on the floor. This property has so much potential, but really needs to be renovated. I would recommend spending a […] few more bucks to stay at the Village at Squaw or the Resort at Squaw Creek over this property. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great slopeside stay"
SVL is one of the best places to stay in Olympic Valley. Nice rooms, convenient location in the village, has ski-in ski-out when conditions permit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great ski-in ski-out lodge in Olympic Village"
Excellent ski-in and ski-out lodge for Squaw. Right by Olympic Village and all the lifts. Spacious rooms. Excellent amenities--hot tubs, exercise room, saunas, etc. right by all the bars and restaurants. Highly recommended-- would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Family Getaway"
A great location and very family friendly. An easy kitchen to use. Maid service didn't finish the job, but not too big a deal since we are pretty clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR FAMILIES GOING SKIING"
BEST POSSIBLE STAY IF YOU WANTTO SKI IN/OUT AND JUST 2 MIN WALK TO THE VILLAGE ALL THE STAFF WAS GREAT AND HELPFULL. ALL MY FAMILY ENJOYED IT VERY MUCHGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place, close to everything"
Squaw valley lodge was just what we were looking for as a family with a 4 yr old. It was a 5-10 walk away from everything!and our room on the 2nd floor had a lovely view of the snow covered landscape :) Heating worked great. We only used the toaster and the microwave so can't speak for the condition of the other kitchenette appliances. Will return when […] we visit squaw valley again! Room was a little dated but very clean & comfortable. Location was great & the staff were all super nice. Loved soaking in the hot tubs after a great day of snowboarding.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in a great location at the bottom of the hill. Close to ski lift, bars and restaurants. Sauna and hot tubs are nice. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Only complaint is the walls are very thin since it's an older building. This is a very family friends area so don't expect peace and quiet - you will hear kids yelling and people walking […] around above your room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is perfectly located whether you are an avid skier, hiker, or just there for the scenery! The rooms are roomy- but are a little out of date. Would be nice to have a TV in the bedroom area. The coffee maker is out of date and could definitely use an update as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was peaceful and quiet. Love going on the off-seasonGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice timeshare condo units next to Squaw gondola."
Went for a 3-day get-away in late September.Everything was fine! This place is actually a timeshare-condo complex, right next to the gondola lift. Not a hotel/motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice environment and time.i would recommend it to the active crowd. Cheers. JGenuine Expedia guest review
It is always a great stay in Squaw Valley Lodge. The jacuzzis are a must! I love being a walking distance from The Village for restaurants and shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We were able to walk to shop and to dine."
We enjoyed every bit of it. We got some good bargains in the local shops and had some great meals.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to lifts, restaurants"
We stayed at this lodge while in town for a summer wedding in Lake Tahoe. Many of the guests stayed at the Village, but we weren't disappointed because the lodge was close to the wedding activities. While we didn't come to ski, the lodge is walking distance to the lifts and restaurants. Our deluxe one bedroom was clean, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom […] was a good size and free wifi was a plus. Be aware there's no airconditioning. You need to open windows and there's a fan in each room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay hotel with easy access to activities"
Check-in people and cleaning staff very helpful and nice. Our room cost too much for the average type of hotel room. The room was narrow and dark. Did not want to spend downtime in the room because it was so dark. Too costly for what it offered.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beatiful resort close to Lake Tahoe"
A cornucopia of recreational activities available. Friendly and helpful staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"3rd stay, we'll be back"
We love this place. Our room had a two bedrooms upstairs that I don't recommend due to poor airflow - too hot at night. A delivery was made by a large truck at 9:00 pm and was very loud because we had to have the windows open.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
No downside to the Squaw Valley Lodge. Room, service, the amenities and Olympic Village and area around were fantastic. Only wish we had more time to enjoy. We definitely will return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
No A/C.When asked, told to open windows and leave open door for cross ventilation. Not very practical or helpful. No breakfast.Near ski lift and tram.Beautiful scenery.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
would stay there again. room was spacious, large kitchen compared to Lodge at Squaw Creek, Parking was convenientGenuine Expedia guest review
"A home away from home"
Squaw Valley Lodge is like being at home while away on vacation. The room has a nice kitchenette and it was nice to be able to have breakfast there, and have a slow start of the day. It is also walking distance from the village, and it is great for an evening stroll, dinner and ice cream. I would return there and highly recommend it to everyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice, wish they allowed dogs"
It was great. Close to everything and the rooms were spacious. Wish they allowed dogs. They seem pretty strict on animal policy. They should re-visit that policy. I want to stay there again in September, but I want to take my dog. So I will need to find a different place. Seems like a bad business move.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice condo just steps away from shops, restaurants, and the tram to high camp. My only complaint was housekeeping was non-existent and we ran out of toilet paper. If the housekeeper had checked the bathroom, they would have seen we were down to using tissues. I had to call the front desk to have them stock us, and even then they just handed it to me […] from the door. Otherwise, a nice place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel; not always a great sleep"
The hotel is right in Squaw Village and has great amenities, including a great pool and spas that our kids spent most of the time in while we were at the hotel. We had a loft condominium and our only complaint was that it was very hard to sleep in the loft bedroom; it was July and very hot and that room stayed hot all night (there was a fan which helped […] but not great); there was also a skylight in that room that became like a spot-light at around 6am every morning. The warmth and skylight probably work great in the dead of winter, but in summer made it uncomfortable. Everything else was great though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We have been staying at the Squaw Valley Lodge before. The location and rooms/acommodations are great.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location. The room was large and clean. Would recommend and would go back. Lots to do in the off-season with no snow. Daytime front desk very helpful as nd friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great alternative to other squaw stays"
We have stayed in Tahoe many times and in the Squaw Valley many times, but never here...I wasn't sure if I would be content based on some of the mixed reviews, but my husband and I stayed her with a friend in the 2 bedroom 2 bath and though it was perfect - no complaints. We are usually 4 star hotel clients and completely on par. No granite countertops, […] but the rest was all high quality and didn't feel at all "tired" as read in another review. Felt like newer paint/carpet/furnishings - all very comfortable and short walking distance to squaw village shops and restaurants, etc.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place for family. Room was comfortable with basic kitchen utensils. The pool was almost under the Squaw Valley gondola. Hot tubs (2 outdoor, 3 indoor) were great. The grounds were well maintained. We enjoyed the ping pong table too. Located a short walk to Squaw Village. Overall though it was pleasant and quiet. We'd stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was hot (July) and the 2 bedroom + living area had only one fan. The bathrooms had no fans. I slept on the tile by the front door. I asked at front desk; they had no fans. We were situated in the building by the courtyard; the air did not move! We noticed no one had an ac unit. All of the rooms had their windows open; the second story was extremely […] hot; there were some with ceiling fans. If staying in the summer, bring your own fan! Slept in the bed from hell. If we weren't attending a wedding up the mountain we would have checked into anywhere else. There is No Ac and the bed is something you'd expect if you were trying to torture AL quida suspects for information. The second night my wife slept in a chair and I slept on the couch. I told the gentleman at the frint desk yesterday […] July 14th how bad our experience was and he was as sympathetic as a racoon. We left at 6 am it was that bad....room 203 terrible bed. He said he'd tell the owner of the property my concern. .almost felt like he was saying he would but probably wouldn't. .we'll see..this is my first time ever doing a review. .it was that bad...can't wait to ' hear 'from the owners of this property. .yeah right.. "Great family getaway"
We went there with our three little kids to relax and have a great time. Area was very family-friendly and we were very pleased with the hotel and would return in a heartbeat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There were two issues in our 4 night stay that made our time at the Lodge unsatisfactory. Keep in mind there is no A/C if you are visiting in the summer. Our 1+loft was an uncomfortable waste of money, because the loft would not cool off and was too hot for sleeping. (I tried!) It was not a heat spell when we were there, but there is no window or cross […] ventilation and the loft holds the heat. The management is aware of this issue, which is true of all the lofts, I believe. Second, we asked for a quiet unit, so we were directed to a mountain view room, which would have been fine except starting at 7 a.m. there was constant truck and construction noise all day long. Given the temperature in the unit, the windows needed to be open, at times we had diesel smell in the room along with the noise, which is not what one wants on a mountain vacation. I accept that repair work needs to be done, but management did not tell us of the situation. We enjoyed Squaw Valley, nonetheless, but wish we had other accommodations. "Squaw at Tahoe"
Pros:I liked the location of the lodge which was right next to Squaw Village. The pool was great. Cons:The bed was a double instead of the queen listed in the reservation. The décor is dated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was our first time here and we would love to come back. Cozy family atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful Squaw Valley stay!"
Our family of 5 needed a last minute overnight stay in the North Lake Tahoe area. It was pricey but comparable to other similar condo type lodging on a summer weekend. We enjoyed our stay very much! Restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We would choose this place again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Works but a little dated"
Stayed in a loft condo in the main building. The unit was clean but definitely felt dated because of the squeaky floors, old wood, etc. The condo was spacious and good for families.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful hotel right next to Squaw Village. Nice staff, great pool, fantastic room. Hope you enjoyed your IPA Hannah!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Glamorous wirh a cozy mountain cabin feel."
We visited during the off season,so it was very quiet and had a personal feel.Off season is the way to go,no skiing but there are pleanty of bike trails and nice weather to do other mountain adventures. They also upgraded our standard room to a studio room for free which spoiled us!Genuine Expedia guest review
We absolutely loved the location of this hotel. The hotel itself was awesome, but I can't say how the facilities are since we got there the weekend before Memorial day, when everything opens. A little disappointed the nets on the tennis courts weren't up. The one thing I wasn't happy about is no AC! We will be back....Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place near Tahoe City"
We booked a two bed, loft condominium. The view from the room was great. The facilities were great too: kitchen, utensils. In terms of proximity to the village, to Tahoe City, hotel staff, parking etc, nothing to complain about. Enjoyed our stay there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"clean, spacious, & great location"
We very much enjoyed staying here! Beautiful, clean, quiet, close to hiking trailsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We really liked this hotel. Apparently they are privately owned condos which are rented out to the public. Our room was very nice. Very spacious as well. It had a few signs of age such as a broken (but still useable) lamp and not fully closing window screens, but those were the only minor issues. The room had a kitchen, plates, dishes, full size fridge/freezer […] and had a great mountain view. Plus, the areas near the hotel are very nice. Great place to bring your bikes and explore!!! The lodge has a nice pool area with 2 hot tubs. No breakfast offered though. I would suggest they should have at least continental style breakfast to go with the coffee they already offer in the lobby. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!! It's a nice hotel, clean comfortable, with a lot of complimentary services (tennis, gym, sauna, pool). Good location, next to the village, close to all restaurants, but not crowded.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"a gem that can use a little sprucing up"
I love this place. The location is perfect. The people are helpful and always hospitable. The room layout (ive had the deluxe suite and stayed in the lofts) is cozy and functional. They just need to redo the rooms. Update the bedding, kitchenettes and bathrooms. I would also love to see room service added as a convenience. The rec area, tennis crts, […] gym and indoor out door pool/jaquzzi are all convenient yet need a little livening up too....amenities readily available and someone serving drinks in the lobby would do the trick. A small gift shop or general store would be nice too....Overall a relaxing experience....I had gotten a massage from the local therapist and she was just awesome. Thanks to being next to Plump Jacks restaurant and the village it pretty much had all we needed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"SV Lodge & SV Village are awesome."
Great rooms, everything you need, big pool, ping pong, tennis courts, bike/running trails. Walk around the corner to the village, excellent food available. Sushi, Irish Pub and Fireside Pizza, all FABulous. Plumpjack for cocktails and appies, 22 is great after you get off the slopes. Cute shops, Bedhead PJ's, pet shop, ice cream, super dog friendly […] village. Love Squaw Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"On the slopes"
Really appreciated the close proximity to the gondola and the Olympic Village shops and restaurants. The room was super comfortable, the jacuzzis were easy access (both inside and out), and no hassle check-in and check-out. What more could we want?Genuine Expedia guest review
