"Great mature couples hotel, and business traveller"
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The room and shower are small by American standards. But very functional, with beautiful marble tile and huge bath towels! Mattress & pillows are memory foam which we love. The staff were extremely helpful and speak English very well. There is a tram nearby that takes you into Rome in 10 minutes - it can get very full […] but Italians just keep piling in! There is a great area full of restaurants nearby also. "Beautiful hotel - excellent staff!"
Thank you Sylvia, and the rest of the awesome staff at Trilussa Palace. I highly recommend the hotel that is litterally 8 minutes (10 euros cab with 4 people and bags) from Trastevere station, 1 minute from the tram to downtown. Breakfast was awesome, the bathroom gorgeous, with a shower that looked like a space capsule :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel in good location"
The front desk staff was very helpful in calling the airlines to locate our missing luggage. We were able to go out sightseeing and the following day our luggage was in our room. That was very helpful so we didn't have to worry about calling the airlines. They also provided a city map and a sheet that showed which trams/buses to take to get to the major […] sites that was very helpful. We upgraded to a room with a terrace and breakfast included. The breakfast had scrambled eggs and more choices than I expected - plenty for me. The machine that squeezed oranges to make fresh juice was great but unfortunately not working the second day. Bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great for couples and business"
Staff spoke excellent English. They were extremely helpful with directions for tram and bus use. Reviewed a detailed map with us and highlighted nearby places of interest and "hot spots", ie Campo de Fiori, Pizza Navona etc. Quick response when asked for extra towels, calling a cab and setting up a shuttle to the airport. Rooms are very European, […] tiny but well furnished with pretty wood bureaus. Small balcony was very nice for evening glass of wine. Upstairs outdoor bar was very nice, not in use during our stay-out of season, but would be a nice benefit during the in season time. Very good breakfast buffet included scrambled eggs and ham as well as pastries, meats, cheeses and juices. Service was very nice and prompt. the staff knew who we were, names and room number by the second day. Greeted us warmly each time we came in and offered assistance for any needs at the time. "Good staff, good location"
The hotel is a bit tricky to find, but once there it's very well located near the tourist areas. Tram & bus service is very close by; but no metro service near by. Staff is just AWESOME! Thanks to reviews on tripadvisor I found that you can get to the hotel on Bus H from Tremini Station. Also the street train will take you to Argentina station where you can walk to many sights, Navona, Trevi, Pantheon, etc. Also the staff told me it is easier to take the train from the airport to the Trastervere train station […] and catch tram 8 to the hotel rather than go to Termini. "A Gem with Exceptional Customer Service!"
This is a small out of the way (but not too out of the way) quaint hotel that is literally steps from the metro bus, and not to mention the BEST little restaurant in Rome, L'Orange. This restaurant is definitely worth the trip from anywhere in Rome. OMG is the food here great! Ok, back to the hotel. This is a spa Hotel, with one of the BEST beds/pillows […] in Rome! Customer Service is exceptional, and believe me I can be picky. The ladies at the front desk were not only informative, but cordial and made us feel beyond welcomed. We previously stayed steps away from the Trevi Fountain, but if I could do this trip again, I would certainly chose to stay here our entire trip. You are just a metro bus (it's like a metro rail but above ground) just outside the hotel, and get off just four stops away, short walk and you are at the Coliseum. You are just steps from the Jewish Ghetto and a $9eur taxi ride from the Vatican. This hotel is small, and unfortunately we did not try their spa services (which sounded wonderful), but it's customer service, quaint rooms, COMFY BEDS and quiet location, made our last four days in Rome extremely restful! Thank you to the staff for your kindness! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Respite in Trastevere!"
We stayed three nights at this great hotel in Trastevere, a quiet respite in busy, noisy Rome. Our room was small (we booked economy) but very nice - clean, very quiet, within a quick walk of trendy Trastevere's wonderful restaurants, historic lanes and piazzas and the incredible Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere. "Nice Staff But Not A First Class Spa Experience"
The staff was very friendly and the rooms were comfortable however I chose this hotel because of the Spa package. I've visited over 40 spa locations and this one is very basic. The massage room was stark. The massage therapist spoke hardly a word. No music. No Foot roll. When the massage was done the attendant just left the room with a word saying it […] was over. The location of the hotel is difficult to reach by car. The GPS in our rental got us there perfectly but it took a long time winding through the city. It was fine. I could not control the temperature at all. I had some issues and they sent maintenance right away. I got a massage at their spa and it was not good. :(Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great stay at the hotel. The only complaint would be that the front desk wasn't overly friendly but still somewhat helpful. The room was a nice size, clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was tiny, good thing we are small because someone over 5'3 and 115 pounds would be smashed in. But otherwise we enjoyed our stay. The location was […] good as far as being able to jump right on the train and bus or even walk if we wanted to. "A Great Hotel in Trastevere"
The only reason for the 4 in room comfort was, that I could never get the temperature right on the shower. Beyond that, this is a great little hotel in a wonderful location. Convenient location across street from bus stop. Travel time by bus to most tourist sites about 20 minutes or less. We had a family room for four and it was very small. Breakfast was good:juice, fruit, breads, pastries, eggs, meats, cheese. […] Coffee from machine or you could order from bar. Apparently not all reservations include breakfast though. Loved the Trilussa! Good price for what u get, which is a total 5 star hotel. "Trilussa Palace - Very Niceaaaa!!! :)"
We absolutely loved the Trilussa Palace. Great Hotel. Rome can be a fast paced city and a bit hectic and the hotel is located off the beaten path in the Trastevere area where you can find great places to eat, good food and awesoem prices. Not too far of a walk to the Vatican. We were able to see the main sights of Rome and then return to the quaint […] area and enjy some authentic Italian Food and great conversation with people in the area. (Molte Grazie por tutti D - especially for helping us park our car). Great sense of humor. The Hotel is elegent, there is a SPA center if you have time to use it, very nice. "Perfect choice! Charming Hotel"
Great hotel, we really enjoyed our travel experience. Front desk staff were superb - from the help we received on the phone before we arrived to providing directions and dining recommendations within Rome. The location of this hotel is awesome - we flew in to Rome and took a train to the hotel. From the train station it is a 2 minute tram ride or a […] 5 minute walk (do the tram, walking with luggage is no fun). The stop for the tram is right outside the hotel and connects you to the Rome city centre within 5 minutes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable (we had two twins put together which equalled our queen bed from home). The rooms were quiet, very clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was the only thing we might rate lower than a 5, maybe a 3-4. Service in the dining hall was great, but the food was so-so, though not a big enough deal to make us dissatisfied. We would definitely return to this hotel again and highly recommend it to others. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Best Hotel in Rome"
I stayed in five different hotels on my recent trip to Italy, and this was, by far, the best accommodations, the best staff, and the best room size of any of them. The hotel's front desk could not have been nicer...they gave wonderful advice for how to get around on the tram, and also excellent suggestions for nearby restaurants. Don't let the outside […] of the hotel fool you. Once you step inside, you will understand why it's called Trilussa Palace. My only criticism would have to be the shower. "Great quality/price/location at Hotel Trilussa!"
As our family arrived far too early for check-in time, we were offered to take an apartment instead. After having viewed it, it was an easy choice: 2 bedrooms, kitchen, large dining table, 2 bathrooms, a beautiful view over Rome and still being able to make use of the hotel's facilities (50 metres from hotel's entrance).Matrasses of very good quality, […] apartment well cleaned every day, a (for Mediterrenean standards), extensive breakfast buffet (breakfast room not very cosy, but that's cultural) and very friendly, helpful people at the reception desk (who even remember your name!). Bus (nbr 3) and tram (nbr 9) stop in front of hotel (1 EUR when you buy ticket at hotel, even cheaper when bought at "tabacci" and is valid for 75 min, so it will get you anywhere in town). When you've no problem with walking, it takes you 40 min to get downtown. Hotel is located in Trastevere neighbourhood, where you'll find tons of restaurants, some supermarkets and local shops. Hotel will call for taxi and it will be there within 5 min. Don't forget to visit Ostia Antigua (1 EUR from hotel to Ostia (bus/train; approx. 50 min) or Via Appia (buses or taxi; oldest "highway" in the world; rent bikes at little cafe over there). Make reservations for Vatican museums, Colosseum and Villa Borghese on-line; it will save you hours from waiting or even "sold out" for little extra money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This was our first visit to Rome. We were not able to locate a hotel in central Rome. We found this hotel on expedia. It is located just outside central Rome. The breakfast was great, but we were not able to eat breakfast everyday because we had to leave early for our […] escorted tours. The room we stayed in was very clean and nice size for European standard. Despite the traffic on the street, our room was very quite. There is the H bus, just outside the hotel that conveyed us to termini station. From termini, you can take a train to Major Italian cities. You can purchase a bus ticket from the hotel front desk. Excellent location to be just away enough from the tourists locations to be able to experience the real Rome with the locals. Excellent restaurant selections very near-by within walking distance; but close enough to the Roman attractions to be able to catch the trolly or buses and be in central Rome or the Vatican within minutes. The trolly stops right […] in front of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and kind with maps and directions and recommendations, and the rooms were very comfortable. We had a family room with our two small girls and we were all very comfortable. The shower was very small as others have noted, but the rest of the hotel attributes more than made up for the few minutes spent in the small shower. It was small, but all the water jets were pretty cool. The breakfast was not bad, plenty of food. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They answered all our questions with accurate information and took the time to explain in details what to do and how to get there. There weren't many restaurants near the hotel where we could walk, but a very short bus ride from there. "Trilussa Palace -- Trastevere great location"
We were a family of four. I had read all of the reviews on hotels.com and on other travel websites and understood not everything would be perfect (for example, the hotel is not in the center of Rome; the rooms are not huge; the shower is different and not large). Perhaps being prepared for the less than perfect allowed us to appreciate how special an […] experience our stay was in this hotel. The staff was consistently helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Everything from making reservations for us at local sites to serving us coffee in the a.m., prior to the official breakfast time. Some reviewers have commented about the location as if it is not ideal. To the contrary, Trastevere is a great location. The tram stops right outside the hotel frequently and is the easiest way to get into the city. But we found that the local neighborhood was the place to walk around in the evening and for outside dining. The restaurant selection was abundant and frankly the food was better than in the heart of the city. After spraying water all over our bathroom in attemptiing to use the shower features that appear to be out of a space capsule, I quite enjoyed the shower experience including overhead, handheld head, and body massage. Americans have to get over the notion that there is only one way to take a shower. We enjoyed the garden rooftop bar and view of Rome. The hotel provided us with more than one large towel per person, which was great because the first day had water all over the bathroom as we negotiated the shower features. The air conditioning in the hotel and room worked wonderfully. The hotel has bottled water available throughout the day in the lobby -- a big plus when you arrive after an overnight flight or after a day in the hot Roman sun. Some reviewers were not entusiastic about the breakfast; wwe thought it was great and woudl recommend it to anyone looking to get a good start to the day.
