Upon arrival we were told the resturant was open for dinner, we arrived just before 6:00pm hungry. After check in we settled in our room, then we went to the resturant to eat. We were told that since we didn't have a reservation we could only eat in the bar. And I might add in a very rude mannor. We were tired, hungry and weary from travel. The service in the bar was good, but not what we wanted to eat. All Thai food. Our room was okay but noisey, no soap in the shower and no bed dressings, only a sheet with a blanket tucked between. Pillows were hidious. This hotel leaves much to be desired. Generally rude staff and unconcerned about comfort.

We stayed from Sunday 12th to Tuesday 14th July, checked in quite quickly, car park free for first 3 hours, which gave us opportunity to get settled. Room clean and had everything that was needed including a mini fridge. Hotel car park 3 euros for 24 hrs (or every time you enter) so need to plan your stays. We parked then got bus into City centre - about a 15 min walk to bus stop, 1.80 euros each and left us very centrally on Quays - a short walk to Grafton st.

Myself my husband and our 5 year old stayed here for 2 nights in July. The hotel was about 20 mins outside centre of Dublin but this wasn't a problem. The room was excellent. Very clean and had all the facilities we required and the TV had kids channels like CBeebies and Tiny Pop which was great. The hotel is great for kids and my daughter loved the kids pool. The only thing that I can fault the hotel on is the fact that we were woken on our last day at 745am by housekeeping - def far too early.

This address of this hotel is not posted on the Internet or other sources. Even the Clarion Dublin, another hotel, did not know the address. We could not use our GPS to locate it. The Clarion Dublin gave us a pre-printed direction sheet, again, with no address. The directions were useless, since it used city landmarks to locate the Liffey Valley hotel. Tourists don't know city landmarks too well! Once we found it, the hotel was great. Service was fair, at best, but the facility is very nice. The room was much too warm, especially with the thick down blankets, but overall we would return (now that we know where to find it).

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for a conference. At hotel.com I paid half of the hotels posting rate, which is what I think the hotel is worth. After reading the comments here, I had asked for a quiet room and was given a room on the third floor facing the courtyard. The room was quiet until Saturday night, I can hear club music until midnight. The shower curtain had a strong mildew odor and the heater didn't work. Also, the regular rooms are not air conditioned but the room had a fan. The food at both restaurants were good, as was the room service. Overall, I thought the hotel was "good" and would stay here again.

The hotel was of fairly good quality, but 55 minutes by bus from the center. I would definitely invest in a 'Rambler' bus pass at 23 Euros for 7 days (buy it in the airport), which covers all Dublin city buses (but not trams) including the 748 Airlink bus from the airport to the center (stop at Aston Quay), from Aston Quay one can catch the 78a bus to Liffey Valley Center (last stop), which takes 55 minutes. The 78a buses run every 10 minutes or so, up to 1130pm. I would not, given the choice, take the late buses (from 10pm on), as most everyone on board was drunk, lighting up cigarettes or joints, yelling racist slurs at the non-white bus driver, or making rude comments to the other bus riders. Thug-thinking tends to predominate. Though I never felt personally unsafe, it was unpleasant to witness. The spa was lovely, bring a swim cap if you wish to go into the swimming pool, or buy one there for 2.50 Euro. You do not need one if you go in the jacuzzi, or other facilities. Steam room, sauna, pool, jacuzzi, and dressing rooms nice. One of the male spa staff was surly and sarcastic, but otherwise the spa staff and hotel staff was okay. I would recommend this hotel for conferences where the primary objective is not to see the city, but the possibility is still there for occasional jaunts. That being said, I still did get to see a lot of things. I paid a reasonable price for the room, for a reasonable amount of comfort. . Next time, I might pay more to stay in the center.

Check in was fast, room was spotless, taxis were fast in collecting us when we wanted to venture out. Leisure facilities were OK, sauna and steam were the usual, pool was OK. Beware though, unlike the UK, swimming hats are compulsary!! Food and drink within the hotel were reasonably priced. Would love to stay there again when I get more time off work!!
