The restaurant and bar in the hotel were nice but have a limited menu. The room was much smaller than expected and the bed was the equaivalent of twin. The Marriott and Crowne Plaza close by have better value.

Sloane Square area and King's Road shopping is excellent. Unfortunately, we got a very small , stuffy inside room with a thermostat that registered either too hot or off. Two calls to request either a fix or a room change resulted in promises to fix it that did not materialize....

The room did not look like the one pictured and was teenie, tiny and did not look anything like the photos on their website. I even sprung for the superior room and had high hopes. What I got was a decent hotel in a great location with a marginal room and a tiny window. It would have been depressing if I had to spend more than just sleeping time in […] the room. I wanted a hotel that was more "quintessentially British" in character, without sacrificing business traveler comforts, and I believe the Sloane Square Hotel fits that bill. I also was very impressed with their restaurant, where I received impeccable service (and an outstanding Mint Julep!). The hotel also is next to a premier London restaurant, The […] Botanist, which I would recommend without condition. The hotel is not inexpensive - but the rates are competitive with the rates of London hotels generally. (My only comment - and I suppose I sound like the "Princess" of the Princess and the Pea - was that the double bed was comprised of twin beds that did not quite fit together and I slept on the "bump" through the night. We loved The Sloane Square Hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were spacious and extremely clean. The location of the hotel was very conveniently located, just across the street from the Sloane Square subway stop. Great shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Single rooms are just what they sound like: a single bed that doubles as a sofa, and a small space that is cleverly used to contain a desk, closet, chair, side table, shelving and other necessities. The shower is particularly tiny with sliding doors, so it's not recommended for people above a certain size, and the bed isn't long enough for those over […] 5'5", so stick with a double or larger if these are a problem. The service is impeccable, and the attached Chelsea Brasserie has an excellent menu. It is a cosy hotel in Chelsea. Plenty of shops, Cartier around the corner, Tiffanys down the street. You have Kings Road for window shopping, eating. We enjoyed our stay at The Sloane Square.

Great hotel, great employees, great facilities in-house. The room above us overflowed their bathtub which made our room sound like a "rain forest". We were moved to another room within 7 minutes (just time enough to pack up) just after they were alerted to the problem. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accomodating. They even orchestrated my needed contact with British Air for seat selection, and also arranged for a car to pick us up for transfer to the airport (at a very reasonable price). Read more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sloane Square in April. A small charming and luxurious hotel just off the King's Road and easy walking distance to Knightsbridge. The rooms are quite small, but very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. We look forward to staying again next time we're in London.

Very comfortable and if you stay in London or lot or know it well Sloane Sq / Chelsea area is a nicer place to stay than around the west end. Price very reasonable. No gym but you can go for a run down to Battersea Park and along the river...if you can be bothered.

I made a booking for a single room through Expedia to stay one night in the Sloane Square Hotel and paid the amount due in advance. When I arrived, reception stated as they did not have any single rooms available they would be putting me in a double room charging me an additional £25. This was unacceptable and the receptionist on check-out waived this […] amount once I explained the situation. The reception staff were not trained to deal with problems such as the above, which again was totally unacceptable. Also, the receptionist on the day of my arrival proceeded to take a charge of £200 against my credit card, which I again found absolutely unacceptable as there was no restaurant in the hotel due to current refurbishment works, and as there was no way I would spend that amount, I immediately asked him to refund me the amount, which he did,but which will be checked once I receive my monthly statement! The room, furniture-wise, was not at all practical.. There was a chair to sit on at the dressing table, which could not be pulled out due to total lack of space and the fact it was placed completely at the end of the bed! A computer was on the dressing table and to be able to use it, one had to sit on the edge of the bed and strain one's back, which was not a comfortable position to be in. Conclusion is simple in that I would not stay in this hotel again, which is a shame given such a good location but they need to try harder to please their guests. Read more

The room was ready on our early arrival at 11.30am so we could freshen up before heading out. Reception staff were very helpfull and friendly, even giving us an umbrella when we checked out as it was raining heavily. Loved the robes and slippers and Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Small room, what we expected from a London hotel in a good area. But the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever found, excellent nights sleep. Well positioned for underground and bus routes to the rest of London. Excellent places for eating near by. We found, two small bakery/cafes serving excellent breakfasts.

The small restaurant in the hotel is very nice, but I don't recommend the buffet breakfast at fifteen pounds. The Sloane Square Hotel may be the perfect bargain hotel in London. The location in the heart of Sloane Square is perfect. Close to terrific shopping, walking distance from at least 60% of all the great things to see and do in London, next door to Tube station, close to a great Waitrsoe and across the street from one of the great theatres in London […] - the location is close to perfection. The service is exemplary - all staff went out of their way to assist us and make life feel as if we had personal staff taking care of all our needs. The rooms were small, but that is London, at least at this price point (suspect you can get larger rooms for high price point). But good bathrooms, complete with The White Company ablution products, good wireless internet functionality, decent beds, lovely linen, and decent working desk. And the cafe/bistro connected to the hotel makes great cocktails, the mojitos in particular are excellent. There are other hotels in the neighbourhood that are excellent, but they are extremely expensive. The Sloane Square delivers top quality for almost half the price. Read more
