This was a last minute booking for our family to take a few days vacation. The location in N. Myrtle is great and away from the busy-ness of myrtle, but close enough to access all the attractions. The resort itself was equipped with all amenities necessary to stay on site and enjoy the beach. The Peppertree is another 60s/70s hotel that is being converted to condo units. Having said that, there is still a need for some exterior work to the building itself. However, the landscaping and pool facilities are updated and clean. My friend and I stayed in a ground floor unit overlooking the pool area and ocean. As previous reviews stated, the hotel does not have much curb appeal, but once inside our room was quite lovely. We had an ocean and pool view complete with palm trees. The two pools and hot tubs were clean and attractive. The kitchen area was well stocked. The dining table had four chairs. There was a nice couch, coffee table, and braided wicker chair […] near the window. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a colorful shower curtain and plenty of towels. The tile floors need to be kept dry to prevent slipping, but you don't have to worry about walking on dirty carpet. The rates were very reasonable. The staff was accomodating and helpful. Read more

We loved it there, for the price and the location. It was great. The weather was cold but being able to wake up and see the ocean every single day was great. Excellent place to stay, only the parking spaces were small and tight, but the over-flow parking was excellent. We enjoyed our stay, had to cut short because of storms in the areas. Very quiet and excellent place to stay.

The overall stay was fine. The resort is a bit dated a had a hotel feeling not a resort feeling. It was cozy but small. Very neat and clean but it was obvious that it was very old.

The ladies at the from desk were awesome and very accommodating. The room was very clean, bright and great views of the ocean.We stayed in a 1 bedroom that also had a jacuzzi. The property is on the northen end of N. Myrtle beach which makes it very quiet, but still close tomdining and shopping. Keep in mind that this property is a property ownership, […] so don't eect daily housekeeping and if you need fresh towels you can exchange them. The outside if the place was old but the room was awesome. Everything in it was new and clean except for the tv it was an old tube style but you are at the beach how much tv are you going to watch.... I recommend it and am planning my next trip as we speak

Aside from being oceanfront (when its 40 and raining it doesn't do you much good) the place is not good at all. Was probably built in the 80's maybe early 90's and has not been updated at all since then. If you have ideas of sleeping in on your checkout day that won't happen, they charge $50 per hour you are there after 10am, if the place is booked […] I can understand that but when its probably not even half full that's a little ridiculous. Nice room. Our room had poor quality connection to the wifi and little to no cell phone signal in the area. Other than that it was nice. Good size pool and hot tub was a plus.

The hotel was older, and I had some apprehension when we pulled up to the check in! It is a bit shabby on the outside, but the inside was fine - we had a 2 bedroom condo with a sofa bed, and it was decent sized with a small kitchen and dining area! We picked it because the price was great for directly on the beach and it was near our family. They did […] not tell us when booking - that it was a timeshare - and there was no room cleaning. It was not a big deal, but we only found out the second day when we needed clean towels and had to change them ourselves! The fitness room was below par - needs some new items - and the activity center was closed saturday AND Sunday!!! A bit strange - my kids needed a break from the sun and I would expect the activities center to be open on the weekend. Other than that - all was fine- good price- great location - beach busy but not terrible - could always find room to sit. The hotel had 2 smaller pools and several hot tubs- and not too crowded. I think they need to fix up the outside a bit-oh, and the front desk does not open until 8 am. Our friends got locked out at night though and security responded immediately. I would stay there again - don't know if would trade my time share though - have been to many other nicer timeshares. Read more

Arrived late in the evening but was able to check-in OK. Room was clean with plenty of dishes, towels, and working appliances. The TV's were old and small but worked. The view of the ocean was great (stayed on 5th floor) and things were clean. However the bed was only a double and the mattress needs to go to the dump! My back hurt after the 1st night's […] stay. It is a condo and maid service is not included so if you needed that, you had to pay additionally. Parking was limited near the complex and the overflow parking is across the street. Crossing the street was no problem as the laws in Myrtle Beach state pedestrians have the right of way and traffic stopped every time we crossed. Pools (2) and beach access were great. If they change the mattress I’d stay there again. Read more

We were promised an ocean view. Instead we had a ground floor view of the pool. The master bedroom and the living area both had large sliding glass doors that overlooked the pools. That is, the pool people could look directly into our room. We asked for another room but were told they did not have another one. Also they do not change sheets or make […] your bed if you stay more than one night. If you need towels or clean sheets they will not bring them to your room... you have to go to the second floor and exchange your old ones for new ones. My mothers room was right next to the ice machine and the pool bathroom... talk about loud and smelly. I thought it was an epic waste of time and money!! We were given a room on the first floor. We asked to be switched but were told there was nothing available. It seemed noisy outside our bedroom because of the first floor location. Also we could not see the beach because we were so low.

The place was not bad at all for the price we paid. It was just a place to stay 2 nights while we attended a wedding, which was conveniently located right down the road. The full kitchen was awesome. I REALLY like that it had tile and no carpet. Hotel carpet is nasty. Looks a lil run down outside, but it's really not a bad place.

I give a superb rating due to the location. It is obviously a beach front hotel so occasional sand and weathered areas are expected. The staff was outstanding and attentive. I guess my only complaint would be no coffee in the rooms. I will know next time to bring my own. A big THANK YOU to everyone at Peppertree.

We found the hotel to be clean although much in need of updates. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well supplied and had everything we needed. The location was good although there are not many places to eat within walking distance. For the cost, condition and location I would recommend this hotel to friends.

We were a little worried when we pulled up because of the older outward appearance of the hotel, but were very pleasantly surprised with the inside! It was very clean, close to the beach, has two great pools and spas, and the staff members were all very friendly! We loved it!
