My best friend and I went to Kings Island and decided to stay at this hotel because it was cheap and close to the park--a five minute drive. Both the room and bathroom were clean and well maintained for an older hotel. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were so squishy! I would suggest this hotel to anyone who plans on visiting Kings Island. It was a reasonable price for a room just used for sleeping, not to mention clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights, but the trip was all about Kings Island so we wasn't at the room much. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good, the bathroom was adequate, and the price was very affordable. The only gripe would be that the tv remote didn't really work but that's really minor. I would stay here again.

we stayed 2 days ..its a little loud you have to.consider its close to Kings Island so a lot of traffic only thing it was missing was fresh fruit in the morning

This motel is ok for the money. It is clean but needs updated as it looks run down or well worn. Breakfast time was chaotic and they need to add more equipment to cover for the increased traveler load when Kings Island is open. We've stayed during times when Kings Island is closed and breakfast area is adequate. Staff pleasant.

We had stayed at this hotel before, so our expectations were realistic for the price range. When reservations were made we requested a ground floor room due to traveling with a service dog. Upon check-in the clerk gave us keys to a 2nd floor room. When I told her that we requested 1st floor, she acted completely irritated but made the change. When I […] signed the receipt I noticed it clearly stated our request. The room was dirty and looked like it had not been swept. The bathroom floor had dirt all along the edges of the floor. The blankets on our bed were too small and looked like they were meant for a twin bed instead of a double bed. The matresses were completely worn out and very uncomfortable. Needless to say we didnt get much sleep. Overall the stay was poor, and we will not be staying there again. It was not worth the few bucks we saved. Read more

I think it is an average motel. I was able to stay close to Kings Island for only 45 dollars after tax. I am satisfied with the quality. I did not expect it to be like a resort or fancy hotel. I would say a 3.5 rating out of 5 is very accurate.

The price $40.00 for a quick overnight stay was hard to beat..but I have learned you get what you pay for. I checked in late around midnight, just needed a room to sleep and shower for 6 hours. Upon checking in, the attendant gave me my room key..when i got to the room, I opened the door and there were peolple already asleep in the room. OK a little […] scary, never had that happen... went back and got a new room..the attendant was like oh..were there people in your room..i said yes and that was that. My new room upon entering had no people asleep in the bed! It smelled muggy, the floors, comforters had stains on them..i dont want to know what. I bumbarded the door with chairs and slept with sheet and froze as the heater smelled. The room really was dirty..but what did I expect for the price. the bath was atleast clean and worked. This is a very cheap hotel, no frills, beds hard and hasn't been updated in years. They overcharge in the summer because it is near Kings Island and because they can. On the plus side they do have an outdoor pool for the family and a great breakfast in the morning. If you go south just one exit there are better hotels.

We only stayed one night while making a stop before heading home. The room was clean, but the mattress was a little "bouncy". I usually never do reviews but I needed to do one for this hotel. The location is good. The service was OK. The room was absolutely filthy! When you have on white socks and within a hour the bottoms of your socks are completely brown, then there's a huge problem in the cleaning department. I couldn't believe when I seen my wifes socks she just removed. […] Honestly, she could have wal ked on the concrete outside and probably kept them cleaner. Everything worked in the room. Heat and water was good. I did not like the fact that I had to walk all the way to the main lobby to get ice. Let me mention I passed ice machines on the way that stated to get ice at the main lobby. Room #1, we checked the beds & found that the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest(s). The sheets were nit only dirty, but there was hair on them as well. We were given a different room, and that door had cracks around the door, so the cold air was coming in (Ohio cold air). This Super 8 Mason motel was an excellent site for the cost. I have stayed in motels costing much more that weren't nearly as nice. I would stay at this motel again solely for the biscuits and gravy breakfast.

Property was nice, my particular room could have used some work, all the lamps were not working thereby made it a little dark, the curtains were torn, it could have used a painting, shower head had visible caulking issues.

I stayed Super 8 Mason in the middle of the trip to Pittsburgh. The location is nice (near the highway) and there are several nearby restaurants including Ruby Tuesday, Outback steakhouse, and sports bar in front of the hotel. Gas station is also located right next to the hotel. The receptionist was friendly. The hotel room is very clean/quite/comport/large […] enough. Breakfast was also provided (except fruits). I was deprived of sleep by the late night 'romance" in the next room. I don't think I got to sleep until after 2 am. The walls are too thin, and this is probably not uncommon at this location. I would stay elsewhere next time, or ask for a room that didn't have anyone next door.

The information when I booked the hotel said there were microwaves and refrigs in the room. There was not. The continental breakfast was good and the room overall was good; just don't look for frig and microwave.
