Loved everything about Casas de Suenos from check-in to check-out! The property is well kept and beautiful.Our room was large and outfitted with nice South West style furnishings. The king size bed was comfortable with a nice, firm mattress. The room also had a desk and some armchairs. A fabulous mural by a local artist covered an entire wall. Best […] of all, there was a working fireplace that was stocked with fresh wood every day. Breakfast (included) was cooked to order and served in a glass-enclosed alcove. Overall it was, for me, a nice stay. My wife was somewhat less happy, but more or less ok with the place. Bed very comfy and service was very good, but our casita needed some maintenance and upgrading. Noticed especially that windows badly needed cleaning. I greatly enjoyed my stay at the B&B. It was quite charming and laid back. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the kiva style fireplace. This little gem is a surprise for its neighborhood. It's charming. All the essentials were there - comfortable bed, good shower, close to Old Town shops, nice made to order breakfast (included in the price). Also, the rooms surround a sweet courtyard with plants, tables & chairs,a swing and a PEACOCK!

The B&B is very nice, consists of several suites, which seem to have a lot of character. It also offers free breakfast with a small continental buffet and a menu of omelettes, pancakes, etc which are made to order. The staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful. Good stuff: Great location. Easy walk to Old Town Albuquerque, Botanic gardens, and aquarium. Very authentic pueblo/adobe environment with pleasant grounds. Excellent breakfast in lovely sunroom. Lots of indian art: hand painted murals, sculptures. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Bad stuff: We got a good rate on Expedia but ended up in […] one of their two "out buildings". These were not part of the main facility and were surrounded by a parking lot and a street. So much for ambiance. The rooms were fine and just a short walk to the main facility. Staff was very nice, but they weren't on duty most of the hours I was coming in and going out. hotel was old, air conditioner didn't work well, there was no desk in my suite so I had to work on the couch or in a chair, which was inconvenient. This old-fashioned B&B is conveniently located for visitors to Old Town, and the staff are among the friendliest we have encountered in Albuquerque, without being obtrusive. Not fancy but quite comfortable, functional and a "good feel" place. Front desk and breakfast room personnel very friendly and helpful. Two blocks from Old Town. Parking is on surrounding streets but plentiful and safe feel. I was able to park immediately outside from assigned efficiency apartment. Airport was about a 15 min drive away.

I must say the hotel exceeded my expectations. For a price of a hotel room here you get a private one-bedroom house with a relatively large living room, working fireplace, kitchen area (dining table, fridge, microwave, all the utensils), separate bedroom and a bathroom. This groop of houses is sitting in a nicely gardened and decorated block separated […] form the outside with a tall non-transparent wall. Houses inside and outside are stylishly decorated a-la Spanish village, it feels very cosy there. Our house (Ivy Cottage) had even its own small private backyard with a fountain. The included breakfast was really great - besides regular coffee, cereals and toasts you could order omlets, burritos, etc., made for you in the kitchen. The staff is very accomodating in every respect. They even offered to start fire in the fireplace for you (I did it myself) - and they bring new wood to your house if you use it. The location of the hotel is also convenient. This is a quiet area in two blocks from the Old Town but on a public bus that comes every 20 min can you get to the Downtown in 10 min or to the University in 15 min ($1 - prepare bills in advance). "Casas" made me feel truely like at home. Strongly recomend. Read more

Casa de Suenos is a quaint, referbished artists headquarters from the 1930s. They have maintained the beautiful gardens and each cottage is individually decorated in old Southwest and Route 66 motel motif.

I must admit that we were a little concerned about staying at the Casas de Suenos Old Country Inn when we were in transit - we thought it was on a major road ... however this place is an absolute hidden treasure and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Albuquerque. It is an historic adobe style inn comprising individual casitas. We had a two bedroom […] casita with separate lounge, dining and kitchen areas ... unexpectedly spacious! The kitchen has all the necessities if you are inclined to stay in for the evening or have bought some supplies with you. The room included free wifi and a complimentary hot breakfast which is made to order - try their breakfast burrito [seriously!]. The staff are really personable and helpful and made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. Further, the Inn is just a short walk from Old Town which is a total delight. It is also in close walking distance to a number of eateries and there is a Walgreens just up the road. We'll definitely be back! Read more

Where do you start? Well let's start with the bad: Can't think of anything so that's that. The good? Well, their hospitality knows no bounds, that's for sure. The owners gave me lifts around the area, invited me to dinner a couple of times and were so friendly it was almost unreal. I'm not saying that they'd invite everyone to dinner but they did […] me, and that's certainly something that's never happened before. I still can't get over their friendliness. The place? So quaint and cute it's unreal, with twisty turny paths disappearing into little private areas for the individual casita's. It's only a short walk and you're into Old Town with the shops and restaurants, and the pretty plaza (I'll rate it prettier than Santa Fe's - it's smaller and a bit more intimate). Sitting there in the sun watching the world go slowly by is a treat. It's also close to the Nature Park, Botanical Gardens, Zoo etc and especially to the woods down by the Rio Grande where you can have a beautiful stroll along the river through the Cottonwoods (stunning colours when I went) watching the wildlife and just chilling out. It's the sort of place that when you go back (and I'm sure you will) you'll stick your head through the door and shout "I'm home Mom". Read more
