The location of the hotel was perfect. Walking distance to everything in Coronado and only a $35 cab ride from the airport. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed in a single room unit. We never expected to be literally be across the street from the Coronado Hotel and just 2 miles from the Navy Seal Training Base. Lots of quaint little stores within walking distance and not to mention all the food locations. Great hotel and nice staff. They only clean the rooms on Thurs and Tues and our stay was in between those days but we asked if the staff could fully clean the rooms on a day in between and it was not a problem.

Had larger one bedroom with pack and play for little one and pullout sofa for child...little cramped. Room had a lot of hair everywhere, from bed, bath, kitchen. A little gross. From when we first called the hotel to clarify some internet discrepancies, we were impressed. The receptionist was very friendly and extremely helpful. On the day of check in we got there just past 10 AM with a very sleepy toddler. The staff was very warm and helpful, was able to get us checked in over 5 hours before official check in time, and help […] direct us to several amenities of interest. We parked in their parking and opened our room to find a very spacious, well laid out, clean, and very comfortable accommodation. Our daughter slept for nearly 3 hours she was so comfortable. Our room was quiet but had a nice view across the island and to the mainland. We found an excellent crepe place across the street and had dinner at a wonderful seafood restaurant also across the street. We walked with our daughter to the beach and throughout the main drag of town. The only drawback was the Hotel they have contracted with for the pool is 5 miles away and not very convenient. The pool aside, we had a great stay and have thought of going back for several anniversary trips or romantic getaways. Read more

The front desk staff was so helpful! I give them a five, "Superb." They really went out of their way regarding suggestions to do with the family, and helping us with other needs. I felt the housekeeping was a little lazy, I would have rated them "ok." Not quite disappointing. We had to call down every day for towels, make our own beds, and dump our […] own garbage. What I liked about the Resort was how close it was to the beach, and walking distance to most activities. They offered their guests bicycles, boogie boards, and wagons and beach towels. All free. I liked that the room had a small kitchen with a refrigerator. That was helpful. It offered a gas fireplace. That made it cozy. Upstairs on the roof, they offered a bbq, with a jacuzzi and hot sauna. That was fun. When you use Coronado Beach Resort you also get to use another hotel close by, with it's four pools, three of which are for the children. There they had an abundance of pool toys for the kids, and plenty of towels. Another great feature to Coronado Beach Resort was it's abundance of underground parking. We always had a parking spot. That was a great relief because parking on the street is a tough to find. Coronado Island was a great vacation spot for the family. Also, there is a GREAT Mexican place on Orange Street that's open 24/7! The food was outstanding in taste and size of the meal. Wow! Read more

This hotel is in a great location, right across from the Del. The main room was spacious, the bathroom was basic, the kitchenette seemed to be well stocked with wine glasses etc. On the downside, we booked / and paid, for a king size bed, but we were given a queen instead, and given the hour we arrived we didn't want to bother dragging everything back […] to the desk to insist on our reassignment. Also, even though the parking was listed as complimentary on the booking page, we were originally charged a parking fee. In the morning, when i showed the offering, the charge was graciously removed. the hotel is not exactly a hotel. it is a time share rented out to others when the owners are not around. it is expensive given the service available. The bed was made only once a week. the towels and garbage were also taken out twice while staying there for six days. It's a condo but if the guests are there for 4 nights (as we were) it would be great if the management would clean up the rooms on a daily basis. We cleaned ourselves but a vacuuming and fresh towels, and a bathroom cleaning would make all the difference. The staff is nice and the location is great.

We started out rough. Our room was not cleaned two days in a row despite stopping at the front desk on our way out for the day's activities to remind them to clean our room. After the second time we got the manager involved who was wonderfully courteous. The problem was some units are condo units that are cleaned weekly vs. hotel units that should be […] cleaned daily. Our unit was cleaned daily from then on and the manager gave us a gift card for dinner as an apology. I can't say enough about the hotel location. It is 1/2 a block from the beach and at the base of a 1/2 mile strip of restaurants and shops. It was great to come home from a hectic day and then be able to walk somewhere for dinner. Friendly and responsive staff, can't beat the neighborhood, close to beach for walks or jogging. Some road noise during rush hour, but otherwise, big comfortable room. Very helpful to have a little kitchen. Also very convenient parking.

My wife and I stayed here to see our son off as he set sail on the USS Ronald Reagan. The hotel was very well kept and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The surrounding area offers many restaurant choices and shopping. This resort is close to the Naval base and Sandiego attractions.

I attend an annual professional education program across the street at the Hotel del Coronado, and this is the second year I've taken advantage of the excellent accomodations and service available for a much better rate at this property, conveniently located across the street. Last year I took my family and we ended up being there during unseasonably […] severe January storms, and the resort activities director did a terrific job helping my wife entertain our then 4-yr-old while I was tied up and they couldn't go out. Ich habe während einer Kongressreise für 4 Nächte im Coronado Beach Resort übernachtet und das Hotel und die Umgebung nur bei Nacht und im Dezember erlebt. Innen ist das Hotel, das eigentlich eine "Timeshare"-Anlage ist sehr gemütlich und sauber. Das einzige Personal, das ich kennen gelernt habe wahren die Herren an der Rezeption, die ihre Arbeit sehr […] gut gemacht haben, aber nicht gerade euphorisch waren. Ein Zimmerservice wurde innerhalb meiner 4 Nächte nicht durchgeführt, das kann aber an daran liegen, dass es sich wie gesagt um eine Timeshare-Anlage handelt. Der Weg in und von der Stadt war etwas mühsam, obwohl die Busse bis spät in die Nacht fuhren und mit 2,25$ sehr günstig waren. Read more
