I have stayed in many hotels, but I have never tried to sleep on a harder bed. Also, the A/C and heat temp was 80 degrees - even though we had it set on 70. WAY too hot to sleep.Genuine Expedia guest review
Check in was quite easy the lady at the front desk was very nice. The room was small for two queen beds, I had requested one queen bed, but was " upgraded". You could hang meat in the room and not worry about it going bad. Finally got the antique thermostat working. The heat came on finally and of course smelled up the room due to it not being used. […] It did not take long to figure out why it was turned off, the heater would not shut off unless it was in the off position. Called front desk as was told they were booked and we could not be moved. The hot water in the shower was at best just above room temp, even though the sink hot water was almost at a full boil. The bed was ok. The room was picked up and vacuumed at but was far from clean. We did not eat at the resteraunt due to the very high prices. Overall I was not happy with the motel. "Room size's picture is deceiving"
The picture of a king room was WAY bigger than reality. When we first checked in, our room's temp was 60 degrees. We chgd thermostat to 70. 105 mins later, it was only up to 62 degrees. I called Front Desk and a maintenance man came within 2 mins. He upped the thermostat to 75. By morning it was too toasty-warm but at least it was warm.Genuine Expedia guest review

Nice to see a 50 year old hotel that has been maintained with care and pride.Genuine Expedia guest review

Prime rib and breakfast buffets were excellent. Would definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dinosaur in the Hills"
Open up your room, and you will be greeted to dark green carpet, pictures of of horses, and furniture that can be interpreted as rustic. The overall decor is anything you may have seen in the early 90's at Days Inn with a few modern exceptions: free wifi & HD TV. At the time of my visit, the ice machine was not working and the tennis court was in need […] of repair. The room I stayed in was clean and well maintained. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was very good. People very friendly and helpful. The surrounding towns were set up for Christmas very well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
lovely setting as my room was poolside on the second floor. Hotel was nearly empty so very quiet (almost too quiet). Staff was very friendly. food is pretty terrible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well kept motel"
Rooms are small but clean and the restrooms have been completely renovated and updated. I wouldn't call this a resort. It is really more of a huge motel. Entry doors to the rooms face the parking area. However, the pool is huge and has very nice sitting areas with a garden and fountain. That gives it a resort feel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not appealing at all. The pictures do not tell the real truth of what you are getting. Old motel quality...... The people working there are very interesting to say the least.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The pictures they show in the internet are nowhere near to what it looked like in person! The room had a old odor, like it's been closed for a long time. The bed sheets were stained. The continental breakfast.......they let you dine in and hand over your receipt when you're done. They charge you for eggs and bacon, which is not mentioned at the beg […] inning. "quieter part of town"
I was quite supprised with this hotel having read the reviews before we left on our trip.yes updating was taking place but nothing to upset the guest about,of course it was a little quieter when we were there so what it is like when it is busy I cannot say.my wife thought it was great and would certainly stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Kerrville is a great little town and the options for a hotel are somewhat limited if you need to stay downtown. We were there for the Kerrville Triathlon Festival and this was the host hotel. I'm not really sure how this would be classified as a resort. There wasn't really any resort type stuff that I could see. The people were really nice but the rooms […] had doors facing the parking lot and our room looked nothing like the picture on the website. It was far more shabby looking and needed updating. The AC unit was really loud and the room was either warm or cold depending on whether the AC was on or not. The hotel was convenient for my event but the front desk charged me an extra $75 to check out at 4pm. My race wouldn't be over until about 2pm. As the host hotel for the race you would think they would be on board with the athletes that booked rooms with them. Seemed like they were taking advantage of the situation. Not very nice. It was a long way back to Dallas so we had to pay the $75 so I could get a shower before heading back. A little disappointing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Older, well maintained Hotel."
Our room had the two queen sized beds, a roll-away sofa, coffee table, desk and chairs. It did not have a balcony, which would have been nice, considering that it does overlook the swimming pools. Because it is an older hotel, the pool lists a ten foot deep end, but there is a seperate kiddie pool, for guests with younger children. We had read some […] reviews that the bathrooms were too small. Ours only had one sink with a large counter top and the bath tub/shower was of normal size. The shower head was mounted at approximately five feet so a person over six feet, would have to duck down to get completely wet. Overall the room as reasonably priced and the "continental breakfast" includes cereal, fruit, and assortment of pastries and waffles. It is more that just a mere toast/doughnuts and coffee. "Excellent and authentic Texas experience"
Good value. Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice pool. Live music in the bar, set away from the rooms, so good for those who just want to enjoy quiet. Generous breakfast buffet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Will stay there again"
Friendly service and helpful. Only complaint is it was a very hard bed. Did not get the best night sleep because of that reason. Room was very pretty and relaxing. Very good deal for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the price!"
Most uncomfortable beds I have ever attempted to sleep on. Called room service for additional pillows which never came. Limited water pressure in shower. Over priced for an old and poorly maintained motel. Toilet and bathroom sink were dirty. I will NOT stay here again. I am also disappointed in Hotels.com for offering this motel to their customers. This was our first time at this resort and we were extremely pleased. The food was awesome, the service was good, and the surrounding area was pleasing. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was ok, but not outstanding. The tv reception could be better. Overall, the good clearly out weighs the ok. "Near Kerrville Tri start.."
Room was ok but there was something in the room that had my allergies acting up all weekend. The guy that checked us in was suppose to call Expedia since our reservation said Breakfast Buffet and he said it was only continental breakfast. He never all Expedia or followed up with us like he said he was going to do.Genuine Expedia guest review

"enjoyed our visit"
This is our second stay for a personal event at this Hotel. Yes, it is a little older but it is a great location for our event. My only compliant is the way the Hotel does their breakfast buffet. I was offered a "breakfast buffet" in my purchase but the Hotel now only offers a complimentary "continental breakfast". For $7.99 you can upgrade to the full […] hot breakfast. This was very disappointing as in our previous stay the entire breakfast buffet was included in with your room. The hot breakfast is really good but I opted out this time because I did not feel it was worth $7.99. Several friends complained and got the hot breakfast for free. I just could not be bothered In Kerrville there are many local great places with homemade food for much less. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"No Communication Whatsoever"
This hotel did not accept our Hotels.com reservation. In fact, the front desk clerk would not even LOOK at our confirmation information. We had reserved a cabin and was given a basic hotel room. The pool was dirty, the staff was unfriendly and had no knowledge whatsoever of what other employee(s) had said, manager never called us nor came out to speak […] to us after repeated attempts at communicating, on and on i could go. The only positive things i can say are that the band that was playing in the bar was amazing and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Bed's comfortable, bathroom very nice, pool refreshing...Really not the hotels fault but the guest in the room next to ours had a very sick kid and I could hear every cought ALL NIGHT LONG. Hotel rooms were motel style, we stayed in a queen which was not refurbished, as it was all that was left for Labor Day weekend. It was clean and had all the facilities you needed and more. Came with Iron, Ironing Board, Coffee maker, Hair Dryer, Hanger with coat hangers. Room was a little small and dated, but for what we paid would not have expected […] anything more. The hotel had some good facilities with the pools, kids play areas, tennis courts and bars and restaurants and was well placed to explore the Hill Country. The room included the continental breakfast which was sufficient, and you could pay to upgrade to the full buffet. All in all worth the money and would stay there again. We very much enjoyed our stay and the ammenities offered at the hotel. It was a quite atmosphere with great food. The surrounding area including the river was very nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was very clean and comfortable. We were right in front of the pool, but it was still quiet in our room. The pool was large and very pretty. "Nice hotel in charming town."
Our stay at Inn of the Hills was very nice. It was extremely hot, but the room was very comfortable. The only incident was the pool by the river was closed (locked up for some problem) even though the staff told us to visit it for the scenery while swimming.Genuine Expedia guest review
"average at best"
Nice hotel for its age. All staff very nice and polite although had to ask multiple times for extra pillows and towels. Not bad for the price for a weekend stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is very pretty! Our room looked out over the pool area & it was very lush & tropical feeling. We were very close to the river which is why we came, to kayak the Guadalupe River. We had a great time & enjoyed the lovely hotel grounds.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Expedia's listing of this hotel let us to believe the resort was in a rural area with on site fishing. "Not in the hills, nor is it a resort"
Rooms, exterior entry for about half of them. Food ok, but the wait was horrible. I thought I was getting a resort in the Texas hill country and got an high end motel for $110 per night.Genuine Expedia guest review
Breakfast was great, quality food, pool was great (big) , very conveniantGenuine Hotels.com guest review
the stay was nice, everything you need is in walking distance, however, I booked a room with queen beds and got dbls, and the main reason I chose this particular hotel is because the description said there was an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and a spa tub. They actually had three outdoor pools, and kid pool....no spa, very disappointed with that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is nice but I thought breakfast was a little expensive, and the check in check out lady was not nice at all, kinda felt like here is your key now go away, but the room was nice, pool was good. We might stay her again on or way homeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was friendly and informative. Hotel slightly below standards but suited our needs for the weekend.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was OK but had a musty odor when we first arrived. Opening doors helped with this. Air conditioning had to be set very cold to bring the room to a good temperature. Coupon for 1st breakfast was good and the reduced price made the breakfast the best choice. Other mornings we ate elsewhere as it was cheaper.
