"not as flashy when inside"
We were just passing through and had a dog with us, so we had to get a pet friendly room which apparently is the same as a smoking room because it smelt like an ash tray. The room appeared to be cleaned but then I found a used soap bar in the bathroom and knew it was at most wiped down really fast. I didn't have one person look me in the eye our smile […] the whole time, but I have come to realize that the days of good customer service are fading. There were no extra amenities for guests. Location was great and the hotel was neat. I was not happy when I got to the hotel and found out that the King room I reserved was not available. The lady rudely told me that they do not guarantee what you book online, that they were full and pretty much that it was nothing she could do about it because it was sold out. "Paying for Wifi?!?"
The hotel itself was wonderful. Staff was great. Location awesome. Food amazing. However, I was VERY upset that we had to pay an additional $11/night for wifi. This seems silly to me. Ok, kind of ghetto room. No duvet or blanket was on the bed, just multiple sheets with a mattress pad looking cover in between the sheets to make it heavy like a blanket. "Not exactly what i expected"
Shower head was nasty and partially plugged up. The single cup coffee brewer was dirty, the counter in the bathroom dirty. Aside from the late availabiity of my room, the entire staff was very pleasant. "Dirty rooms, loose slots"
We arrived to find out they had no more non-smoking rooms. So, of course, the room reeked of cigarettes. There was hair on and in the bathtub. The chair had dirty stains. And there were several spots on the carpet that were stained with bleach. No safe in the room. "Pet Friendly / Uncomfortable Bed"
Wow! Love a casino hotel with pet friendly rooms. We booked over the telephone and confirmed a king room. Upon arrival we were told that they only had a double room for us. Extremely disappointing. A wet hand towel was in the bathroom sink and a few pieces of paper in the trash can. Don't know what was going on there but the rest of the room was incredibly […] clean. They didn't have any other pet friendly rooms available or we may have asked to be relocated. The beds were horrible. Very, very bad and just poor in every way. The dinner buffet was really good and a great price. Every staff member greeted us in one form or fashion no matter where we went in the hotel. For the amount of money I blew in the casino and the money they're raking in, the beds should be like floating on a cloud! The Mr. says breakfast buffet was mediocre and not worth the price. I travel weekly for business and I stayed in three different hotels in three different cities last week alone. Not once in my travels have I ever had a hotel front desk staff person tell me, "We do have rooms available right now, but if you wish to check-in early (at 11 AM) we will have to charge you a fee." I understand that early check-in is not always […] available and I respect that, but if my room is ready and available it is common practice to allow a guest access to their room at time of arrival. There is no additional expense the hotel would incur from allowing that to happen and for them to try to charge for that is unexplainable. Again, I travel weekly for business, I have never had this happen before and I equate this experience to the new practice of the lower end airlines charging for carry-on baggage. I will never stay at this hotel again because it was clearly demonstrated that they do not value my business and do not feel the need to offer guests a common courtesy. Pile of hair on the floor in our bathroom. Took 40 minutes to get security to our floor for people that were partying in the halls w/their doors open going from room to room at 130am. Night mgr said they could not refund our room & we would have to go thru hotels.com to get refund. That didn't happen either. Operations mgr said his night mgr told him […] he would give us 20.00 credit!!! That was never said to us. Then we were told we would get a 50.00 refund on our credit card bill.
