I put the overall rating as a 4 simply because the price seems a bit high for the size of room being a "shared bathroom" situation. I'm not from Australia, much less Sydney, so maybe this is the norm. Also there were some "advertizing" issues. 1) There was advertizing that a round-trip shuttle was provided by the hotel for a fee. NO. The same shuttle is available to everyone from the airport for only a $2 difference. So it's not a hotel shuttle which would save time, but an airport shuttle service which travels a circuit of stops and hotels. 2) Communication as to what's included for breakfast was not quite what I expected, but it was still and acceptable breakfast. Overall, I had a great stay and enjoyed my short stop in this wonderful city.

We were upgraded to a Harbor View. Just beautiful. The only thing we could complain about is....no free wi-fi. A hotel of this quality should be able to offer this for it's guests.

Situated on the beach in Manly, The Sebel Manly Beach is close to Manly Beach, Sydney Harbour National Park, and Brookvale Oval. Additional area attractions include Circular Quay and Taronga Zoo.

North Sydney’s equivalent of Bondi Beach is easily accessed via a beautiful 30-minute ferry trip from Circular Quay near the city centre. Visitors and locals alike flock here for its relaxed beach and café culture and the 1.5-km ocean foreshore. The more sheltered Shelly Beach, Little Manly, and Fairlight are also well worth a visit.

Great place to stay with Sydney's physically active lifestyle folks. Only a 30 minute ferry trip away from downtown sydney. Great restaurants and shops very close by.

"Great hotel"
The Sebel is a great hotel in a perfect location in Manly, closed to Manly Beach. Good service. Next to the reception on groundfloor is Manly Wine, a very cozy wine bar / restautant / cafe / breakfast place. I will definitely return to The Sebel one day!!!

"Sebel Manly - beautiful location"
The hotel was clean & tidy. The only two things I would fault though was that the room was extremely cold upon check in & the temperature control wasn't straight forward to figure out. The only other aspect that I didn't enjoy was that I had to walk through an alley way to get to my room. As a young female staying on my own I didn't feel comfortable […] doing this. Otherwise the hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly & helpful. The bed was comfortable & the shower was hot. Overall I would stay there again, however I would only do so if I wasn't staying alone. Read more

"Unimpressed"
Lots of errors on my final bill. Card system did not work, which caused a lot of trips to reception to get it re-activated. Otherwise a nice place.
Key system didn't work and the room bill had a number of mistakes.

Bra och vänlig service, fint hotellrum med sjöutsikt. Toppen läge precis vid stranden - det fanns badhandukar att låna varje dag för bad i havet. Utmärkt frukost dock är buffen för dyr - bättre att beställa direkt från menyn. Kan varmt rekommendera restaurangen både till lunch och middag - bra mat och bra service.
