This little hotel has location, location, location! It is less than 5-10 minutes walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, & Tempolo Adriano. It is about 15-20 minutes from the Coliseum, the Forum, and Vittoria Emmanuelle, around 25-30 minutes from Piazza del Popolo, and a half hour from the Vatican. Seconds away from the main artery Via Del Corso, you can’t get a better location for a more reasonable price. The front desk staff is wonderful and Tomosso in particular will not hesitate to recommend the best restaurants and tell you how to get to all the sites within Rome. He recommended fabulous restaurants and mapped out a walkable itinerary of sites daily for us. If you don’t care to walk, the hop on hop off bus is two minutes away. What really sets this hotel apart is the 5th floor outside deck with a panoramic view which is used for breakfast in the morning and a possible night cap at night. What a way to start and end a day. It was beyond gorgeous and really a delightful highlight to a memorable stay in Rome. The rooms are big enough to accommodate two easily and are clean and neat. The only difficulty I encountered was that I was unable to connect to Wi-Fi but instead used the downstairs computer. Some of the rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by a short stairway which is difficult with heavy luggage. Other than that, our stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We did not get information that payment by card was not accepted. The breakfast was poor, bread from yesterday, cerials too sweet. The juice was more like lemonade than fruit-juice.

Had a great experience. Our triple room was clean and bed very comfortable, including pillows. 40 inch hd tv with all the sky channels with the options to switch to English language. Filled a form with time and choices for breakfast . Arrived on time and plenty of food. ( Italian style breakfast) . Front desk nice and helpful. Near American embassy, hard rock cafe' , villa borghese park( very nice!) . Would stay there again and reccomand it to friends and family

Room was so small that we could barely walk around the bed and there were no drawers in which to put clothes. The buffet breakfast, however, was outstanding and the location very convenient. Front desk staff could be friendlier. The room was much smaller than the photo for that level of accommodation

"Worst service EVER!!"
We stayed at this hotel because it looked outstanding on the website. When we got there, we thought we were going to get robbed. The front desk personnel where extremely rude, but not as rude as the hotel restaurant waiters/waitresses. They didn't even want to make eye contact so they wouldn't have to talk to you. Then they would get your order wrong. […] Rooms smelled of mildew and stagnant water and the showers leaked all over the bathroom floor. The hotel "Free" shuttle only takes you about two blocks and you have to wait till the drivers ready. The only person who was nice had to be the night receptionist. He was very outgoing to help but only works the night shift. We tried to spend most of our time away from the hotel. The pools look amazing on the website, one was tiny and the other was green with "Stuff" growing in it. Not a plus. Would recommend you look elsewhere if looking for a hotel. The so called 4 stars wouldn't receive 1 in my book. And I'm not one to ask for much. Way below standards for a two star. Hope this helps ya'll out. Read more
"Hotel Roma- Very good location"
The location is execelent, with a 5 min free shuttle it's possible to reach rhe metro station. The problem observed was that hotel was not clean, due to animals (dog) urine in the elevator and public areas.
"Good but wouldn't stay again..."
The hotel met my expectations of cleanliness and service - the staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately during our stay the Internet in the neighborhood went out - it wasn't the hotel's fault, but it was inconvenient because we had planned on getting some work done whilst staying there. I did not read many of the reviews before booking (which […] I should have) because I did not expect to pay to use the sauna/swimming pool. The room, however, was exceptionally clean and the large bathtub (large by European standards) was a welcomed treat at the end of long days. The beds are very firm (which I love) so I found the rooms exceptional. My husband and I are very experienced travelers; so we knew the hotel would be off the beaten and would require a long walk - it wasn't bad at all and afforded us the chance to get to know the area. I wouldn't recommend to friends who aren't well traveled. As well, we went off season so the sun/hot temperatures were not a problem during the long walk. We timed our walk from the hotel to Cornelia station and it took slightly over 20 minutes (because we also peeked in the shops along the way) - I'd reckon without stopping it would be 15-20 minutes depending on how fast you walk. The neighborhood is fine - it is not unsafe at all. I loved that there was a Carrefore Market and a larger supermarket very close by. The breakfast wasn't too great and it was the only hotel in Italy that we stayed at that did not offer espresso or cappucino at breakfast (we stayed at 4 others during our trip). We love continental breakfasts, so we were not expecting a large hot meal - but the pastries and rolls provided were dried out. The fruit was unappealing, too. All in all it suited most of our needs. We were finishing a long trip, both business and leisure, so it would have been nice to have a swim ad sauna. I am, however, glad we stayed there because it was quiet and suited our immediate needs. "A good memory!"
This was my first time using Hotels.com and I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel after reading the comments - but I am so happy that I finally did! It goes to show you that these comments can only give you limited information that is not always correct! - First of all let's start with the location, which is probably what's holding you back from […] staying at this hotel. I can tell you from personal experience that the distance to downtown Rome is very easy to get to! The bus ride is maybe 5-10 minutes and the the metro to the Vatican is like 3 stops, which goes really fast. You can get to the Vatican in like 5-10 minutes with the metro. Both the bus and the metro comes a couple of times within one hour and they start going from early in the morning to late at night. You have to understand that this might be a bit away from downtown, but for a good price you get to stay at a very nice hotel! Buses go literally 100 meters from the hotel and that takes you to the metro where you can go virtually anywhere. Downtown Rome, Colosseum, Vatican etc. There is also yet another bus, like 5-10 min walk from the hotel, that takes you directly in to the heart of Rome and close to Fontana Di Trevi. So what I'm saying is that the distance is absolutely not a problem, at least for me. - Now on to he room. After booking this room I immediately called to the hotel and asked if they had any rooms with a balcony, which they had. I asked them specifically to get that room and I did. I'd strongly advise you to the the same because the view is really nice from the top of the hotel. The room was big enough for two people, had a nice TV with some good channel (BBC etc.) a very handy safe for you personal belongings. The bathroom was very nice, spacious and modern. The cleaning of the room was spotless and it was always in excellent condition after we go back from a day full of adventures. - Now on to the Hotel itself. Hotel was great, very clean and cosy, breakfast satisfactory. The information for this hotel is that it's 10.7 mile from Fiumicino airport which is incorrect! It's approximately 20 mile and the shuttle bus costs a fortune much to our disappointment!

"kein 4 Sterne Hotel. Schlechte Lage"
Wir waren mit meiner Freundin in diesem Hotel zum Sylvester 2012. Wir können leider nichts gutes über das Hotel sagen. Das Hotel ist eher ein 3-Sterne Hotel. Lage: Keine schöne Umgebung sieht mehr nach Ghetto aus. Das Hotel liegt sehr weit weg von allem - Stadt, Metro, Flughafen usw. Es dauert ca. eine Stunde bis man die Stadtmitte mit öffentlichen […] Verkehrsmitteln erreicht. Essen: Das Frühstück ist sehr bescheiden und der Nachschub kommt sehr langsam. Zimmer: Die Wände sind so dünn, dass man alles hören kann was in anderen Zimmern normallaut gesagt wird. Ein Fenster ging nicht richtig zu, deswegen war es zimlich kalt im Zimmer. Service: Das Personal war nicht besonders freundlich. Shuttle Service zur Metrostation ist nur vom Mo. bis Fr. verfügbar. Am Wochenende muss man zu Fuß 20 minuten zur Metrostation gehen oder 20 min auf ein Bus warten und 5 min fahren. Glücklicherweise war eine Busstation nicht weit vom Hotel entfernt. Hotelausstattung: Alles nur gegen Gebür. Sauna hat 15€ pro Pperson gekostet, was unserer Meinung nach zu viel ist. Flughafentransfer kostet 50 Eur - noch ein Grund ein Hotel in der Stadtmitte auszusuchen und dann für 6 Eur pro Person vom Flughafen mit einem Bus zu fahren. Read more

la piscine intérieure est payante ce qui est dommage étant donné le prix, le personnel est très froid peu accueillant et donne peu d’information. L’hôtel est très loin du centre il faut prendre le bus qui passe toutes les 20 minutes mais il 'n y a pas d'horaires il faut attendre et ensuite prendre le métro peu pratique.

Hotellet i sig var väldigt bra med fina rum, bra frukost och ett härligt poolområde. Tråkigt nog var personalen inget vidare. Trötta och uttråkade och inte alls villiga att hjälpa till. Shuttlen som skulle gå in till Metro-stationen kan man inte lite på! Vår lampa inne på badrummet blev inte bytt trots att vi sa till redan första dagen och upprepade […] påminnelser till personalen. Väldigt dålig service. Restaurangen var heller inget vidare. Av alla grejerna de hade på menyn visade det sig att dom bara kunde erbjuda EN av dem och den fick vi vänta på i över en timme, trots många som jobbade och få gäster. Read more

"Underbart hotell i tyst och lugn miljö!"
När vi bokade detta hotell så läste vi vad andra tyckte om Golden Tulip Bellambriana. Vi visste att det tog en stund med buss och tunnelbana och vi hade inget emot att gå upp lite tidigare för att ta oss in till Rom. Många har klagat på frukosten och vi kan absolut inte hålla med....det fanns det mesta så man kunde få en stabil och mättande frukost...Det […] fanns Äggröra, små miniprinskorvar, ost, skinka, salami korv, Yoghurt, toast, baguetter, flingor med mjölk. Vi var alltid mätta och belåtna efter frukosten. Hotellrummet var alltid rent och snyggt. Fantastisk utomhuspool. Restaurangen tyckte vi tog lite överpris så vi tog hellre en promenad i femton minuter till gatan VIA AURELIA...väl där fanns det ett flertal fina restauranger till bra priser. När man bor på Bellambriana så är kollektivtrafiken lösningen för att ta sig in till rom, vi köpte ett tre dagarskort till priset av 11 Euro. Buss 546 till Battstini eller 889 till Cornelia. Sedan tunnelbana A till rom. Totalt Ca: 30-60 min. Busshållplats 889 var tvärs över gatan vid en tidningskiosk. Vi rekommenderar att ni går till hållplatsen innan till vänster på den gatan, för då kan ni ta den busslinje som kommer först antingen 546 eller 889.. Obs! på söndagar går inte linje 889. Taxi från flygplatsen kostade 44 Euro men vi kunde likväl ha beställt hotellets egen chaufför till ett pris av 50 Euro. OBS! Tunnelbanan är under reparation på vardagar och då slutar tågen gå kl 21:00. Arbetet kommer att pågå till April 2012. Då ersätts tunnelbanan med bussar vilket resulterar i betydligt längre resväg. Men på helgen går både bussar och tunnelbanan till kl 01:00. Att bo på Golden Tulip var verkligen lyxigt och det var ett stort plus att kunna ta sig ett svalkande dopp i poolen. Hotelli on ok; perussiisti ja mukava. Uima-allas alue jopa puhdas ja viihtyisä. Sijainnin takia en kuitenkaan suosittelisi tätä kenellekään, paitsi autolla liikkuville. Hotelli mainostaa ilmaista bussikuljetusta, mutta kuljetus menee vain tiettyinä aikoina (n.5 kertaa päivässä) silloinkin ainakin n. puolituntia luvatusta ajasta myöhässä. Lisäksi shuttlekuljetus […] on sekin vain läheiselle metro-asemalle josta vielä n. 10-15 min metromatka nähtävyyksille ja keskustaan. Paikallinen bussi taas kulkee italialaisittain miten sattuu, yleensä odottelimme n. puolituntia. Omalla autolla liikkuville hotelli on ihan ok vastinetta rahalle, muuten ei. Read more

Hotel correct pour le tarif sachant qu'il comprend une picine. Ce qui est fort agréable de s'y jeter après la visite de la capitale. Coté à améliorer est le petit déjeuner au niveau de la qualité et la difficulté de réglage e la climatisation. A quelques kilomètres du centre de Rome, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé car nous avions notre véhicule à disposition. Hotellet kan anbefales, * hvis du er villig til at køre i bus for at komme til metroen. * hvis du er villig til selv at finde ud af, hvad hotellet tilbyder, og hvor det ligger på stedet. * hvis du kan li´ fisk, da det er hovedparten af deres menu. Ellers skal du ind til byen. * hvis du er klar på at klare dig på egen hånd. Vi oplevede ingen info overhovedet […] fra personalets side. Vi var glade for at bo der, men det er meget præget af, at du selv søger information hele tiden. Poolen, som var en af årsagerne til, vi valgte dette hotel, bar præg af, at den havde været meget brugt. Belægningen var løs flere steder i bunden af poolen. Solstole var der ikke mange af, så hvis du ønskede en sådanne, skulle den "bookes" med et håndklæde før morgenmaden, men man skulle vide, at man skulle gå gennem restauranten, for at komme ud til poolen. Morgenmaden, som vi endelig fandt placeret i baglokalet i restauranten, bar også lidt præg af mangler, da der til tider blev tømt ud i udvalget, og trods tilstedeværelsen af personale, skulle man selv spørge efter opfyldninger. Nu var vi ikke på "badeferie", så vi var mest inde i byen, men der var 2 busser at komme til metroen med (546 og 889) som man kunne tage fra samme stoppested, hvilket vi selv fandt ud af, da vi søndag stod og ventede længe på nr. 889, da en flink indbygger fortalte os den ikke kørte om søndagen og viste os hen til den anden bus. Heller ikke den info fik vi fra hotellet. Så et godt råd : undersøg selv nærområdet, hvor der bla. også er 2 supermarkeder. Bare ha´ i baghovedet, at hotellet ikke er et typisk 4-stjerners hotel. Hotellet ligger 10 minutter fra metro som tar deg på en 20 minutters tur inn til sentrum. Frem til April 2012 så slutter undergrunnen å virke klokken 2100 så da er det 1 time med buss heller. Personalet var uhøfflige, de klarte heller ikke få til wakeup call. Vaskepersonalet er topp! Rommene er greie, store senger men mye lyd fra gang. Restauranten […] er god, men frokosten er elendig! Čistota a kvalita hotelu výborná. Snídaně také super, avčak dpravní spojení trochu složité. Bu´d to šlapat pěšky do kopce od stanice metra nebo si počkat na bus, který nejezdí zase tak často. Ale hotal vozí k metru a od metra každou hodinu hosty zdarma. Bohuzel ne o vikendu :o(.

Midsize rooms, bad and expensive food, and not allowed to eat outside, not very friendly staff. Poolarea still makes up for this, we enjoyed that alot.

Hotellet ligger 7-8 km. fra Rom, det tager ca 30-60 min. med off transport, men til gængæld koster det kun 1 euro for 75 min og biletten gælder både for bus og for metro

vi var på golden tulip hotell i 9 dager, og var strålende fornøyd. Utrolig bra service, hyggelig betjening og fantastisk beliggenhet. alle som klager på beliggenhet kan gå å legge seg! bussen til metroen gikk 5 meter fra inngangsdøren til hotellet hver 10 min, og metroen gikk til alle steder verdt å se. Et udemærket hotel til pengene! Man skal være opmærksom på at hotellet ligger i en "forstad" til Rom...og der er 20-25 i Taxa til Centrum. - Dog har Hotellet shutle Bus som kører én noget af vejen til en Metro station. Jeg bestilte hotellet siden det var billig. Det var veldig lett å ta seg fram til serverdighetene. Buss nr 889 går ca hvert tiende minutt til Corella hvor metroen går. Bussen går rett ovenfor veien fra hovedinngangen til hotellet. Billetten koster 1 euro og du kvan bruke den videre på metroen. Barn kjører gratis. Det er en flott supermarked ved metroen. […] Her var det godt utvalg av frukt ol.Jeg kjøpte 3 dagers dagskort til metroen til 11 euro. Da kan du kjøre så mye du vil med metro og buss. Alle serverdighetene ligger ved metrostpoo. Vatikanet e rkun to stopp i fra cOrolla, så kommer spansketrappen, Trevifontenen ol. Veldig enkelt! En flott dyrehage i borgheseparken. Hotellet var veldig greit. Stort rom. Rein! Frokosten var ikke så mye! Mye kaker. Grønskaer og frukt var ikke å oppspore. Men, jeg kjøpte inn dette på supermarkedet. Det er kjøleskap på rommet, men ikke vannkoker. Taxi fra Termini kostet 17 euro, men jeg tok metro/buss kver dag. Hotellet ligger på et fredelig område med mye boligblokker. En kafe og apotek rett rundt hjørnet. Ellers lite å ta sge til. Det var restaurant på hotellet. Helt rolig om kveldene. Jeg vil anbefale hotellet siden det var svært billig, reint og enkelt å komme seg fram. Read more

l'albergo si trovava in una zona periferica ed assai distante dalla fermata della metro (circa 1,5 km) in un quartire popolato per di piu da extracomunitari. All'arrivo la stanza era fredda il clima era centralizzato e non si poteva modificare manualmente, abbiamo dovuto telefonare piu volte alla reception perchè provvedessero ad alzare la temperatura […] poi risultata accettabile; il termosifone in bagno è stato sempre spento nonostante le nostre lamentele; il box doccia non chiudeva perfettamente da un lato e si allagava il bagno ad ogni doccia. Servizi nel complesso non accettabili per un albergo che si si fregia delle 4 stelle. Read more

"Very nice hotel"
we wanted to stay a bit away from all noise, and decided to go for this hotel. Peacefully located, nice staff and good breakfast - plus for having 'weird' stuff like ricecakes and soyamilk when we asked! "Godt Hotel til prisen - dog lidt udenfor indre Rom"
Fint hotel - rengøring helt i top - morgenmad typisk italiensk. Personalet lidt reserveret. Restaurant kan anbefales hvis man ikke orker, at tage turen ind til indre Rom en aften. God betjening og ok. mad til prisen. Til Rom (cirka ½ time med off. transport)- tag bus 889 lige overfor hotellet. Her er endestationen Van Calutta stå af inde Cornelia, […] hvor Metro linien A går. "Golden tulip belambriana - langt fra alting"
Hotellet levede ikke op til den beskrivelse med der er stor morgenmad. Hvis man kan lide kager til morgenmad og tørt toastbrød eller flute så er det lige sagen. Der var ikke det vilde udvalg, lidt ost, bacon og røræg hvis man var heldig :( Beliggenheden er ikke særlig god, da man skal med et metrotog til endestationen og så tage en bus for at komme […] til hotellet. Hvilket ikke er særlig praktisk hvis man har en del oppakning med. Det tager ca. 30 min at komme ind til termini. hvilket er en del tid da dette kun er metro. Så det tager 45 min i det hele at komme til termini. I receptionen var der nogle af receptionisterne der var meget behjælpelige mens andre ikke kunne hjælpe en hvis man havde spørgsmål. En af ulemperne var at airconditionen kører hele tiden uden mulighed for at man selv kan slukke den. Dette kan kun ske hvis man ringer til receptionen, og beder om det. When we first arrived at the hotel, we wondered if it was ok to place the luggage there (we arrived early). Before the question was asked the girl in the reception said that "no, check-in starts at 15". This behavior was very representative for our whole visit. When we later that day were to check in, we got a nice room with strange colors. The TV didn't […] work as it should, we wanted to rent a movie and went down to the reception before having dinner in the hotel. "I'll send someone up", the girl in the reception said. Two hours later when we returned to our room, the TV still doesn't work. The morning after we tell another girl that the TV doesn't work and within half an hour this shall be fixed according to her. We are waiting in the room and after one hour, nothing has happened. We went down again, pretty angry and THEN they sent someone up straight away. At breakfast I asked if I could get a tomato. The waitress didn't know ONE word in English so I asked for a pomodoro, -she gave me ketchup. I had to draw to her and after a couple of minutes she came back and said "sorry, finish". No tipping here, not. One day we decided to have lunch at the hotel, the pool is ok and the neighbourhood doesn't offer any other dining-opportunities. My husband and I sat for 30 minutes before someone came to our table giving us a menu. And it was not crowded, two people must be able to satisfy three tables... We ordered and alltoghether, it took us 2 hours to have lunch! The service is really awful at this hotel, and som language skills should be aquired for hotel staff. Read more
Jeg har tidligere læst dårlige anmeldelser af hotellet og jeg forstår dem absolut ikke. Det var et rigtigt lækkert hotel lidt uden for rom, men vi har ingen problemer med at komme til centrum med offentlig transport billigt. Kan kun anbefales fra vores side. Vi fik endda lov til at tjekke ind kl. 11 i stedet for normalt kl. 15 uden ekstra beregning […] . Read more

"Golden Tulip Bellambriana Rooma, lepoa Roomassa"
Hotelli sijaitsee kohtuullisen matkan päässä turistinähtävyyksistä, mutta bussi- ja metroliikenne palveli hyvin kun niitä osaa käyttää. Katsoimme jo kotona reittejä eri paikkoihin ja kulkeminen sujui jouhevasti. 16 euroa viikon lippu ja sillä voi kulkea mielin määrin metrolla, bussilla ja raitsikalla. Pitkän pävän jälkeen oli ihana tulla rauhalliseen […] hotelliin, illalla voi käydä vielä kävelyllä Aurelion alueella ja vaikka gelatolla jos ei jaksanut toista suurts ateriaa. Hotellissa oli ravintola ja uima-allas josta ei erikseen laskutettu niinkuin joissakin arvosteluissa on annettu ymmärtää. Siivous oli joka päivä ja erittiäin hyvää. Aamupala oli italialainen, ei hedelmiä eikä vihanneksia. Suosittelen hotellia hyväjalkaisille, kävelemään pystyville turisteille, jotka osaavat käyttää julkisia kulkuneuvoja ja osaavat suunnistaa. Yöelämää kaipaaville ei ole tarjontaa, metro ja bussi alueelle kulki ainakin puoliltaöin ja se riitti meille. Read more
"Lækkert hotel nær Rom med lækker pool område!"
Vi var to veninde der rejste afsted. Helt sikkert tilfreds med selve hotellet!! Fint værelse, reception, restaurant, pool område... Beliggenheden er virkelig skidt - Ligger ude in the middle of no-where.... ingen andre hoteller i nærheden, ingenting!! Vi blev nødt til at betale Mange penge for en taxa til Ciampino lufthavn fordi vi sku afsted tidlig […] om morgenen. Og busserne ik var begyndt at køre derude fra endnu!!! :( Gratis shuffle til den nærmeste metro st. der kører et par gange om dagen og derudover der to busser der kører lige over på den anden side af vejen! Det fungere udemærket (så længe det er på 'normale' tider af døgnet....) Venligt personale. God morgenbuffet. Lækker pool. Lækker by!! ;) Read more

"Unfreundlich und Abgelegen"
Bedienung unfreundilch und unmotiviert. Angepriesene Ausstattung war entweder nicht vorhanden, nicht eingeschaltet. Zimmer sehr geringhörig (Getränkeautomat im Gang lärmte mehrmals laut - mitten in der Nacht) und schmuddelig, unsauber. Frühstück: harte, alte Aufbackbrötchen, kalter Kaffee etc. Lage: nur sehr schlecht zu erreichen (Bus und Metro).

Albergo moderno, essenziale, pulito, con un ottimo ristorante e ottima accoglienza! Decisamente lontano dagli standard purtroppo bassi di Roma (a parità di prezzo ovviamente).
"It was a beautifull holiday"
It was a beautiful holiday. We have stayed in Golden Tulip 4 days. The hotel was clean and confortable. The staff was OK, but they didn't understand what does it mean "wireless internet". The hotel has a swimmingppool, but open just until 7:00 pm. The breakfast was good: salames, cornflakes, yoghourt, jams, sausage, croissants.
