"Very Nice Place located in the right place"
Was welcomed immediately upon out arrival. The house was beautifully decorated with antiques. My favorite kind of place. Was just a beautiful house period! And inspite of the fact they were at full capacity...... It was very quiet. Very nice!! And the breakfast was fabulous!!Genuine Expedia guest review

"All amenities taken care of"
Owners were attentive to all needs. Breakfast was superb. Rooms and inn kept the integrity of early twentieth century era yet had all modern amenities. Guest refrigerator was stocked with complimentary soft drinks and water. They supplied beach towels, umbrellas, and water bottles for guest use. There was a 24 hour hot tub. Located 3 blocks from boardwalk, […] and close to everything. Easy, free parking on-site. It was perfect. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We've had never stayed at a B&B before and wasn't sure what to expect. Unfortunately, our schedule didn't give us the opportunity to spend much time in the hotel, but we would definitely stay again. Everything is kept neat and clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Charming B&B - close to beach and boardwalk"
The Candlelight is a very homey, old house, full of antiques. It does look old - a little touch up of paint may be in order around the place, but you can tell it is cared for. The hosts are extemely obliging and I think they would do anything to make you comfortable. In the afternoon they put out wine and cookies in the lobby and there is always coffee […] and tea available, and sherry in your room. There are gas fireplaces throughout which add lovely ambiance. The rooms vary in size, and ours was quite small but well appointed and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"New Year's Eve Getaway"
Had a great time. Inn is just a few minutes from Cape May, but far enough away to avoid the hustle. Inn was built in 1905 and has stayed true to it's Victorian roots. Very comfortable. Amenities included decantors of sherry in every room, and the usual comfy things; bathrobes, slippers, etc. Departing gifts were a pleasant surprise. Should appeal to […] B & B folks, but if your looking for a modern hotel flavor, it's probably not for you. We will certainly return. Hosts were very gracious, food was wonderful. "Best place in Wildwood"

We recently stayed at the Candlelight for the 5th time. Bill and Nancy make each stay more enjoyable than the previous one. Our days at the Candlelight are without a doubt the most relaxing and enjoyable days we experience each year!

--We spent our third July 4th at the wonderful Canflelight Inn and were not disappointed . The owners, Nancy and Bill make you feel like family and the people that stay there --more often than not repeaters like ourselves. --While community eating for breakfast not always my ideal choice, the company and food are great and the time just flies! --Their housekeeping is OUTSTANDING. To get fresh towels every day in this day and age is amazing! --Bill and Nancy cater and anticipate every need --even to considerately providing umbrellas for the guests to use in the event of unusual rain. ( In the four years we have gone to Wildwood there was a total of one and one half days of rain--lucky I guess.) --While in the City (NY) the 4th a washout--in Wildwood only 1/2 day and postponement of fireworks for one day our problem. --Nancy bakes cookies and other delectables (in addition to the great and filling breakfasts that she has) with wine and tea at 5 for all. --My favorites--pistachio muffins, pina colada muffins and of course Bill's Sunday Eggs Benedict. --'Already booked for next year!!
"Candlelight a wonderful place to stay"

What a perfect place and a perfect spot in the Wildwoods. Nancy and Bill are the most excellent hosts and I have to say that the breakfasts that they serve are a number 1. Bill was kind enough to give us our destinations for our walks and the lighthouse and walking path along the water was very cool. Our room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Thanks Nancy and Bill, we will be back.

We found the Candlelight on bandbfinder looking for a reasonably priced bed and breakfast to begin a week away. Nancy and Bill were tremendous hosts. The room was wonderful. The front porch was inviting. And the three course breakfasts were remarkable. Though I do think the second most requested muffin, pistachio something hot from the oven, was better than number one! Will recommend.

The Candlelight Inn is a lovely and charming Inn that is within walking distance of the boardwalk. They have a parking lot, so you do not have to worry about finding a spot during the busy summer season. It is in a perfect location Nancy greeted us and took us to our room, which was the Seashore Suites located in the Carriage House. It was definitely a luxurious suite. We enjoyed sitting on the large wrap around porch while we had a glass of wine and delicious cranberry pumpkin bread. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Nancy and Bill did everything to make our stay a memorable one! Visit the Candlelight Inn, you won't be disappointed!!

The Candlelight Inn is the perfect location for a romantic getaway. My girlfriend and I spent a couple of nights; if we had the opportunity, we would have extended our stay. The grounds and room are very, very well kept. The bed was clean and comfortable. There was a whirlpool tub in the bedroom and a hot tub outside. The bathroom was very clean as well, and the shower had plenty of space. (I'm 6'2", so showers are sometimes a problem for me at places like these.) The "living" room of our suite was very nicely laid out. With the fireplace going, the adjustable lighting dimmed, and a movie playing, it couldn't get much better for a nice night in. Breakfast was served each morning in a dining room with the other guests. Everyone - Bill and Nancy especially - were very kind and open to conversation. The food was excellent and served hot when you came in. The location is also nice. There are a bunch of shops along a "main street" kind of road; it's just a couple of blocks away from Candlelight. The town is nice and it was fairly quiet while we were there. There are plenty of options for ordering in or dining out and there's a Wawa that's not too far away. Overall I am more than happy to give the Candlelight Inn a perfect 5/5. My stay was incredible and I'm excited to go back as soon as I can.
"The friendliest Innkeepers"

Bill & Nancy made our 4 night stay at the Candlelight Inn one of the best B&B experiences we have had. They are so friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning conversations over breakfast. BIll has some great stories to tell. They really were interested in our feedback on our experience with their B&B as well as other select registry inns. Breakfast was delightful every morning. Fresh fruit, homemade muffins and breads, and creative egg dishes started everyday off on the right foot. We stayed in the Seashore Suite which was a very comfortable suite with all the amenities. We really liked the extra touches like the complementary beverages in the refrigerator, the decanter of sherry, and the daily chocolates. The location of the Inn is perfect. Walking distance to the beaches and various restaurants. The Inn is spotlessly clean and that is so important to me. We liked the off-season experience. Very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks Nancy and Bill for a wonderful stay!
"Enjoyed our return stay"

This was one of our first B&B experiences in New Jersey. They turned us on to one of our very favorite restaurants, Alfe's, on our first visit. We had a comfortable stay and breakfast was ready when we woke up. Everything was just as comfortable, ready and available. We did forget to call on the phone and waited a little in the foyer but we just didn't read the sign. lol They go over and above to make sure you have everything and enjoy your stay.
"Simply the best...a home away from home"

My wife and I have been making the Candlelight Inn an annual vacation destination for over 14 years. During that time we have also made several getaways during the "quiet season." Throughout those years and visits we have seen many improvements to the physical appearance of the inn, but through it all there has been one constant, i.e., the hospitality, the warmth, and the friendliness of Nancy and Bill, the innkeepers. We were once asked at breakfast by another couple why we keep returning to the Candlelight Inn year after year, we told them it was Nancy and Bill who keep us coming back time and again. Our most recent trip was at the end of February 2014 for a belated Valentine's Day gift to each other, and although we didn't stay in our usual Seashore Suite accommodation, the room we stayed in, the Drawing Room, was wonderful. We can state that unequivocallly about the other rooms we have stayed in over the years as well. In December of 2013 my wife had major surgery and as part of her recuperation I surprised her with a 2-day trip over New Year's Eve and Day. It was just what the doctor ordered! She was able to relax and not worry about her surgery or work. And I almost forgot - the breakfasts are great too!

The inn and the inn keepers were lovely! The rooms were comfortable, homey and very well kept! Also, they really went out of their way to make sure our needs we're met! I am vegan and they worked with the local health food store to come up with a delicious breakfast (vegan eggnog french toast). It was amazing and much appreciated! Would definitely recommend this place when visiting wildwood or attending an event at the convention center (which is very close). Great experience!
