"Very Nice Resort"
Overall our experience at the resort was excellent. For the most part the hotel was great with the exception of one of the concierges who seemed to need a vacation as he was not very personable/customer friendly. The service, food and beverages were all great. The most disappointing aspect of the stay was the fact that you could not swim in the ocean on this beautiful private beach. Also if you want to enjoy the night life of Cabo you might want to consider staying closer to the main marina. But if you want peace and quiet with no screaming kids running around this adults only resort met that expectation. Two final comments 1) There was a large private group (Gordon Food Service) at the resort for two or three days doing a recognition/rewards celebration that took up over half the resort. Their presence seemed to somewhat diminish our experience because once they left the resort was somewhat empty and less festive. 2) Unless you are looking for some type of vacation rental, avoid the hard-core time share sales people. When we went to the Pueblo Bonito Rose in Cabo one of these vultures had the nerve to bother us while we were eating lunch.

"Nice location, great views"
The check-in process was smooth, we were already aware of the pitch to sign up for some time-share presentations during check-in and avoided it completely. the room was clean, had the ocean view that we were promised (in fact most rooms have an ocean view) and comfortable. There was not too much external noise. The concierge staff were very good, they were very patient and made sure we got what we wanted, in fact we bought some tours and changed our mind and wanted to do something else and they were patient with us and cancelled the old booking and made fresh ones for us. The all inclusive package was however not quite what we expected, I don't think it is worth it. The food and general dining experience was moderate, not what we expected for the price we paid. We were given a list of restaurants and told that we could eat at any of them. Most of them required reservations for dinner or the wait was too long. Once seated the service was too slow and the food was ok. We were also told that the Mini bar was included as part of the all inclusive package, when we went to the room we found that the fridge was stocked with 4 bottles of water, 2 sprite cans, one diet code, one regular coke and two budweiser cans. We finished the 4 bottles of water and observed that the fridge was never restocked. Room service which was included in the all inclusive package was very slow, a simple order of coffee would take 1 hour to come, there were no room service menu cards to order from.

"Spa-like, rejuvenating hotel"
This property is fantastic. It's calm, relaxing, and a perfect getaway without kids. The facilities are well-kept and the rooms are perfectly adequate - spacious, nice balcony, etc. Food is quite tasty, though immediate options on site are limited. Luckily, with Sunset Beach just up the hill, there are plenty of other things to eat. Staff was very attentive and generally responsive. The only exceptions were unreliable shuttles up the hill and lengthy waits for on-demand room service. Other than that, absolutely no complaints. We loved our stay here and definitely preferred it to the idea of staying at any of the other Pueblo Bonito properties.

"The place is clean but is lacking entertainment"
We found the room and pools to be nice. The food was good but need a little more choices of simple food for picky eaters. My biggest problem is that there is NOTHING to do after 9:00. No outside bar no music no place to dance and visit with other guest outside of a small bar in the main lobby area.

"The Pacifica has not done well with All Inclusive"
I have stayed at the Sunset or the Pacifica for the past six years. The service has always been good especially at the Pacifica. This year I was forced into their all inclusive plan and found service to be inconsistent....sometimes good...other times bad. For instance on going up to the sunset to grab a sandwich at the Bistro we were seated and then left alone. 20 minutes later we walked out. We were told that LaFrita would be a $25/person upcharge but weren't told that the drinks offered from the drink cart were full price. I ended up with $60 bill that was unexpected and the drinks were nothing special. Perhaps my biggest issue was the pool bar at the Pacifica. They have a horrible problem with flies during the day that they have failed to deal with. Also while purporting to offer premium liquor there were none to be found. I asked no less than 3 managers why they didn't stock the bar properly. Two of them said they would handle it. The third was the manger specifically in charge of the pool bar and food and he just stared at me like I was from outer space. Under all inclusive there was no incentive for staff to do proper mixing or delivering premium beverages.

"Nice but not my favorite..."
Resort was nice but there are only two restaurants on site to choose from and the pool is small with limited chair space. The food at the main restaurant was excellent and served premium liquor. Staff was slow and hard of hearing they entered our room even after numerous warnings multiple times. The views are beautiful and the resort very close to Cabo. Not sure that I would visit again due to the limited pool space, restaurants and bars.

"Couldn't Wait to LEAVE! Spend your money elsewhere"
The hotel grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are kind of small since it is an older resort. The whales on the Pacific side are really great to see during the winter season and can be seen from the hotel room. The spa was pretty good, but no sauna. It's also pretty far from everything, so you'll spend a fortune on cabs to get around ($20 to town at American prices). We have stayed at all of the other adults all-inclusive resorts, so I am telling you this one is not as good for more money... Go to Secrets or Excellence; I promise you'll like them. The worst thing was the food. It was very limited in choice and was essentially DORM food. Clearly cutting corners to make money in ways the other all-inclusives do not. The hotel purports to have four? restaurants, but they are all the same food, including room service and the pool. And you have to make reservations, unlike the others. The service was just ok (staff were not as friendly; the other resorts are much much much better) and it took forever to check in and get to our room. Also, you will NOT find any of the following at this hotel: Conditioner in the room Ironing board in the room Easily accessible water or sodas Waiters at the pool before 11:00 a.m. Bagels -- I checked every day Any fruit besides cantaloupe, mangos, or pineapples -- seriously, no berries, strawberries, or bananas Decent salsa or hot sauce -- isn't this Mexico? Everything is fried/greasy. And, we got sick. So, use the water bottl

"Pleasant Holiday Visit"
Pacifica is Pueblo Bonito's adults-only property in Cabo. Compared to the company's sister properties that we visited during the busy holiday period, Pacifica was an oasis of tranquility. The grounds and setting are beautiful, particularly the pool closest to the beach. Overall, the property exceeded my expectations. In my opinion it is on par with a JW Marriott (at least one located outside the US). The onsite restaurant is decent (food is very good, service is just so-so, but it could have been due to the busy holiday period).

"Good, not the best."
Mixed review. The Pacifica is in a great location. Quiet beach area, secluded location, yet not too far from downtown Cabo. Hotel orientation has all rooms facing out, so you either have an ocean or garden (lower floors) view. Decks are nice. Pool area is large and really great chairs (and plenty). Cabana rental is a nice treat -- with great service. Rooms are fairly sparse, but comfortable. Hotel staff, with some notable exceptions, are either not customer service oriented or are really overworked. From concierge to front desk to wait staff --- it felt like we were bothering them at times. You won't get pool service unless you are in certain areas and it may take you awhile to get it if you go to the window to order. Food is just okay. We didn't try the privileges as the Sunset, but its nice that you have options to go to eat there as well. Quivera golf is nearby and one of the best courses around.

"Best of the pueblo bonito resorts"
Pros Activities were great and free (yoga, water aerobics, tequila tasting, hiking, poker, beer pong, bingo, cooking class etc) activity coordinators Gabriel and Adriana were super fun All of the staff were pleasant and attentive Rooms were comfortable and clean Pools were heated Plenty of sun chairs Little to no evidence of hurricane damage in the vicinity of the resort Cons You can't swim at the hotel beach Reservations are required at most of the all inclusive restaurants The shuttle to sister resorts was not frequent enough The service at sister resorts was consistently poor No music at the pools at Pacifica except during water aerobics Generally this hotel is very chill and compared to sister resorts does not have a party atmosphere. The food was a bit hit or miss. The breakfast buffet was delicious and included made to order omelets pancakes smoothies and waffles. The sushi restaurant is not very good, but the other two onsite restaurants had some amazing dishes and some which were not edible. There was surprisingly few Mexican options. The Asian restaurant at sister sunset was decent and a nice change of flavor.

"Beautiful stay but slow service"
Pretty and very comfortable stay. people were nice but service was sooo slow (for anything - it would take them forever to bring our food, bags, and spa services. took up a lot of our time - e.g. one day we had to wait 4 hours just to get food at the restaurant). but over all the location is beautiful and secluded. if you want more of a crowd, you can take a free shuttle from Pacifica to another location closer to downtown (Pueblo bonito Rose and Blanco hotels are older/not as nice, but have more of a crowd and are from walking distance to the Marina and tourists parts of town).

Beautiful hotel and beach on the Pacific side with no swimming in ocean because of strong undercurrent. Rooms have great balconies. Biggest complaint is that you had to meet a timeshare sales lady to get your bracelet. Food was good but very limited options. No evening buffet - reservations required. "Relaxing and wonderful as always"
This is our third time back to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. They have done some nice clean up and upgrades since the hurricane. It is in great shape. The staff were friendly and so pleasant as always. We saw the same staff after several years as they seem to really love their employer. The food remains fresh and high quality and the drinks flow upon request. This is a great place to relax and avoid kiddos if you desire such a venue. he pool is clean, adequately warm and comfortable. It remains close enough to enjoy town for a bit but far enough away to have your own little oasis. We recommend going up to La Frida for a special dinner at Sunset-it remains romantic and a very upscale meal worth the minor surcharge. We will be going back again next year owing to the consistent quality of this place and how well it helps us recharge.

"Great escape"
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. You are greeted with a glass of champagne. They all speak excellent English and seem to all have a great sense of humor. The doorman, Egert, (???) was especially funny, as we had to wait for our coach when it was over an hour late and he kept us entertained, . We stayed for a week and felt like the staff knew us. The facility is very Zen-like, with rock mosaics embedded in the floors and calming designs raked into the sand gardens; calming water sculptures and reflecting pools. Work out room was decent as were the free classes. The pedicures we paid extra for were sub-par---don't recommend it. Free shuttles are available to the sister properties and you can go to the Rose' as a way to get to/from town without using a taxi. Food was NOT greasy and there is lots of variety of fresh fruits and vegetables when they have buffets. The drinks, however, are very watered down---recommend drinking beer. The really go out of their way when you have something like a birthday to celebrate.

"Not as expected"
First off, we have been to Cabo several times and this was our first All-inclusive experience. We always stay at Club Cascadas on Medano Beach for the first week and move to the Pacific Ocean side for complete relaxation our last couple days. We paid for our Ocean View suite at Pacifica, which came with access to a beach bed which we never got to use, even though at least one went unused everyday. The butler service was not as impressive as one would hope, granted we arrived early, our room was late getting cleaned no one checked on us or kept us informed. The food was mediocre at best and the staff was not very friendly. Granted we missed the "fine print" that states they cannot guarantee a quiet room but it felt like we were at a frat party at times. Very loud music right below our room 2 consecutive nights and the noise from the room above was quite obnoxious. Wife did use the spa and that was enjoyable. We have stayed at really nice places with amazing food and this was not one of them, we will not return to any of the Pueblo Bonita resorts. If you are looking for a lively atmosphere, like a cruise ship on land than this may be right up your alley. If you want complete relaxation, stay away! In all fairness the view was amazing and we did see whales from our room but there are other resorts to get that same experience and that are worth the money spent.

"Beautiful Property Terrible Service"
I checked in with a large group (16 people) and we asked to stay in rooms in close proximity. The man at the front desk said "sure" then proceeded to put us all in different buildings. I could understand placing us in different buildings if they were full, but they were clearly not anywhere near capacity given the recent hurricane. As I was checking in the lady at the front desk excused herself and left me standing there for 15 minutes. There was no apology or explanation when she returned. When she gave me my room key I was never told how to get to my room or even pointed in the right direction. When I asked where my room was, she shoved a map at me and said nothing, leaving me to figure it out for myself. Before heading to my room I was instructed to go to another table for my wristband ( I bought the all inclusive package). This is where I was pressured to sign up for an hour and a half "presentation" (basically a time share pitch) to obtain a hotel credit. When I said no, there was more pressure that "all of my friends are doing it" and that I needed to sign up. I said no again and was ignored until a friend saved me and said she's not interested and I'm not either. Can we have out wristbands now? As I walked through the property I noticed a TON of dead moths laying around. Also, don't plan on eating by the pool (or anywhere outside) the flies are everywhere! Don't be surprised if they are doing the backstroke in your mimosa.

"Nice, isolated resort to get away from it all"
Pueblo Bonito Pacifica was what we were hoping for, and nothing more. The resort is isolated pretty much from everything else, which is exactly what we were looking for in this vacation. Our view of the Pacific ocean was breathtaking, and although the waters are too dangerous to get into, several large pools diminish any problem with not being able to get into the ocean. Though, the temperature of the pools is definitely much lower than that of the ocean. The staff were welcoming and helpful, for the most part. One day in particular was poor. Lunch took an hour to get, and getting drinks outside was essentially impossible for us. All other days were exceptional, despite the disappointing day we had.

upscale, minimalistic resort. You could tell that staff/hotel not back to 100% after hurricane, but that is understandable. Wish they noted on their website all of the fitness classes available - would have packed workout wear! Food very good, my only wish is that inclusive wine selection be expanded (only a merlot and a Chardonnay available - anything else is up charge). We had dinner one night in town at The Office, which concierge coordinated - very fun. Also ate at neighboring Sunset 2 evenings - very easy to shuttle back and forth between two resorts.

Amazing resort. Small and quite (no kids!). Although some adults can get a little rambunctious after lunch. My preference at a holistic retreat is not to have dance music playing at the pool in the afternoon. I prefer a more calm experience. The dance music tends to put some of the guests in a mood to drink too much, which can be obnoxious if you're looking to relax. However, you are able to distance yourself at another area if you want quiet. Great place, convenient and beautiful.

Great hotel but so far away from downtown. I enjoy Adult Only resorts because they always have activities going on but this stay was not that way. The resort didn't have any activities for the guests to to do because they were at 40% capacity... Whats that mean for the guests... paying $12 each way to get into town to entertain yourself.
