"Fabulous getaway location!"
This was our 4th time staying at the Pacifica and we couldn't have been happier. The facilities are immaculate! The pool is clean, the food is top notch and the drinks keep flowing. Great location, friendly staff. We will definitely be back!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great All-inclusive stay!"
We were a group of three couples and we had a wonderful time! I stayed in Cabo in February and it was way too cold for me, but this trip in October was great. The food was really good (usually all-inclusive food is just OK but this was so much better.) We paid the extra $20 per person to dine in the sister resort Sunset Beach at La Frida. I thought […] it wasn't as good as our Siempre restaurant which was in our all-inclusive plan! We also went up the the hill top pool at Sunset Beach, it was really windy, very crowded (hard to get a lounge chair) and the food was horrible! There was no reason to leave PB Pacifica!! The pools were great, food was awesome and service all over the resort was wonderful. The staff remembered us from day to day and what we were drinking and were so friendly. The bartender at the bar inside Siempre made us special martinis every night, what fun!! The rooms were fine and had great views. I wished the bathrooms were more open though, at the end of the day in the sun after two people showered the bathroom was too warm and stuffy to get ready for dinner! All in all this resort was wonderful and I would have no problem returning (in the right time of year when it is warm in Cabo!) or recommending it to anyone. It was quiet and very relaxing, just what we wanted! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"On the Pacific Ocean"
The hotel is situated at the base of a mountain which separates it from the Marina in Cabo San Lucas, but only by about a 15 minute cab ride. You cannot swim in the Pacific, but can easily get to a beach which allows swimming, and there are two pools which were at no point overly crowded. The swim up bar was a popular hang out, with several other choices […] for drinks as well. You can stay at the resort for your entire stay and not get bored, but they do offer plenty of activities including snorkeling, fishing, ATV rides, golf, off the resort, OR Tequila tastings, volleyball, spa treatments, etc. on the resort. The staff is excellent as well and the 24 hour room service came in clutch more than a few times. Very clean and well kept. Excellent for a week away, would go back to Pacifica in a heartbeat. We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff takes amazing care of you and it's a beautiful and secluded destination.Genuine Expedia guest review
We were there on our honeymoon and enjoyed the peace and quite. The drinks could have been better a little disappointing food was delicious. A ways from downtown cabo but overall clean and very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica was an amazing place. A beautiful mix of tropical and desert landscape. Facilities were in really good shape and multiple bars/restaurants with access to sister resorts. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway/vacation for both groups or couples.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tips for Pueblo Bonito chain of hotels!"
All-inclusive was nice; probably didn't get our full dollars worth because we're not heavy drinkers; but, the convenience of not worrying about bills/tips/etc was nice. Being able to jump between the sister hotels was very very very nice (free shuttles/buses/vans provided by PB at set times). In a sense, we stayed at 4 different hotels. Sunset Beach […] (kids ok) and Pacifica (adults only) are more serene, calm, and felt more refined - can not swim at these beaches. Rose and Blanco (both requiring a ~15 minute bus ride from Sunset/Pacifica) were more FUN: beach swimmable and activities available, younger, more party-like crowd. All the restaurants we tried were average; La Frida (costs $20/per person on top of all-inclusive) was very good. The TIMESHARE PRESENTATION will give you nice gifts (you can bargain, but we received 1 Tequila bottle, blanket, $200 SPA (not worth it, expensive and not a good massage), $100 room credit, and 2 Zip Line tickets (very fun!)) BUT it is not the 1.5 hours they say, but ours (and others we talked to) took 3 hours - they will HIGH PRESSURE you into buying, we spoke with 5-7 different reps and were offered lesser and lesser packages until we simply stood up and said we had to go. If you want the free gifts, be courageous enough to say NO and leave, else it's 3 hours for those gifts. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. All staff was great (except for one nasty lady, who we ran into in the first 15 minutes of our stay). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Honeymoon in Cabo!"
This hotel was wonderful! It was right on the beach a little secluded from everyone else and adults only. You were not able to swim in the beach but you could lay out on the beach and watch the waves crash. The food was delicious for an all-inclusive resort and there were plenty of drink options. The hotel staff was very friendly and the concierge was […] very helpful and booked our zipline and fishing tour. The only complaint I had was that the bed was a little hard and the pillows were big and bulky...however I noticed on the last day you could call and request different size pillows. We only had 2 full days which was not nearly enough time! The swim up bar was a lot of fun and the chicken nachos hit the spot after a day of sun and drinking. We WILL be going back soon and will stay much longer! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good trip ;)"
Was there 9/30-10/4.. Very quiet hotel... room service doesn't have lots options... But they r fast! They also help u to book all kind of activity and it's good price. There is no time share ppl in this hotel, so didn't get bother... ;) Room here are all facing ocean, stander size of room but you can tell their amenities are old... especially frige... […] Not cold at all... Pacifica is a small hotel but give u lots privacy and safe... They really check everyone who come in hotel every time. You don't get to swim on the ocean but you don't want to too... The waived is really strong.. Don't think will be good idea. Food is great. They have theme night every night (different type of food every night), waiters provided really good service, fast and friendly ;) really loves it!!! We visited this resort for my sister's wedding. They went above and beyond to set up for her special day. We enjoyed our time here. The resort is on the smaller side and there are not many food options. However, you do have access to all the other Pueblo Bonito properties. Take full advantage of this as the Sunset is much bigger and has more pool options. […] The Rose offers access to a beach you can swim at because you shouldn't get in the ocean at the Pacifica (the waves are huge). The one disappointing thing we experienced was my husband had his ipod stolen out of his backpack. We locked all our valuables in the safe but he forgot about his ipod in his backpack. When he looked for it on the plane ride home it was nowhere to be found. Make sure to use the safe for all your valuables...the cleaning staff will look in your bags! Also all inclusive does not mean that everything is included. Some of the drinks in the cafe were not included. It was confusing what we got for free and what we would be charged extra for. Unless you were in a suite you were not allowed to use the beds on the beach unless you paid extra money for them. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Beautiful location, very relaxing place with restaurants, spa and fitness facilities.Genuine Expedia guest review
Beautiful location , especially if you want to be Away from everything .Need to take cab to downtown area For any nightlife, night time activities . Loved the fact we could visit the other resorts and have them "included" with our all inclusives. Cannot swim in ocean at resort!!! Have to go to other resort in downtown area . If you want nightlife and […] to be closer to downtown we would recommend the Rose or Blanco. Staff could be more friendly especially at the pool bar Where sometimes we felt ignored and like we were hassling Them for a drink or food. Overall the food was great and place was great! "Beautiful resort for our honeymoon"
The Pueblo Bonito Pacifica was just superb. The staff (especially Lupita at the swim up bar, Julian at the open air restaurant and Nancy at Siempre) were kind, accommodating and always smiling. They are genuine and when we explained our lost luggage they did what they could to help us find it. The resort has a peaceful, spa-like feeling which was a […] nice getaway after spending months preparing for our wedding. The grounds of the resort are meticulously maintained and were undergoing some renovations while we stayed there. Overall it was just beautiful- every room has a wonderful view of the ocean. (We stayed on the fourth floor so we could see everything from the resort to the beach.) Depending on the atmosphere you like during the day, the two pools are separated. The pool with the bar is more animated and lively- we spent most of our time there. The second pool has a more quiet crowd. The shuttles between the four sister resorts were handy. We spent some time at Rose, which is much busier and has more families staying there, and at Sunset Beach up the hill. Sunset is a sprawling resort- they take you around in golf carts to your destination. Sunset also has a lot of timeshares. We went up to the Sky Pool for a couple hours- the view is indescribable, and the atmosphere is more upbeat. Overall, Pacifica was our favorite resort to spend the day at. The service was beyond what I had hoped for and it was a wonderful place to spend our honeymoon! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
After reading so many conflicting reviews last week before our honeymoon, I was concerned. But it was all for naught, the 5 nights we stayed at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica was fabulous. Food was delicious, hotel was clean, and workers were super friendly. Everyone spoke English, and although you don't need to tip, you'll want to. The resort was kind of quiet, […] which some people perfer. If you want more activity, take advantage of the FREE shuttle service to their other 3 resorts. Be sure to checkout the Sunset resort next door, and go their Rose downtown resort where you can swim in the ocean or better yet, take a glass bottom boat to Lover's Beach from Rose. The only complaint I would have is that the service at the Pacifica sushi bar was a little slow and the Sport's bar is just a bar with a 2 TVs and loud music. However, the service by the employees makes up for the very few negatives. Also, nobody "attacked us" about timeshares when we checked in, as some people claimed. They will direct you to a seated lady who advises you of the activities and asks if you want a free breakfast (timeshare meeting). Just say "No." We weren't asked again after that first day. 5 Stars!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

If you need a place for deep relaxation , Pacifica would be the place. Nice clean resort with friendly staff and very good food quality. There is not much options to choose but you can always to go the sister hotels if you need more food options. This is a great resort with excellent food. Can't swim at the beach but it's great for walking and running. There are two nice pools and staff is very attentive as far as offering drinks and food. The Plaza Bonita Hotels all have beautifully manicured grounds, fountains and ponds. It was a very peaceful and relaxing experience, just what we wanted when we planned our trip to the Pacifica. This resort was amazing! The staff was extremely hospitable. The ambiance of the hotel was elegant and relaxing. Wonderful poolside service, and the food at all the restaurants was very good. We loved that it was away from all the tourist activity and a nice oasis of peace and calm. We didn't really care for the poolside music of the main pool and bar, […] as it was constant techno and didn't seem to fit the resort's spa ambiance. But the second pool away from the bar was at least quiet, so you could get away from the constant pounding of techno dance club music. (I was rather surprised with the choice of music from a "branding" perspective, and how the hotel is marketed and designed. It didn't really go together. But that was just our preference. We would have preferred nuevo latino, or latin jazz...something with latin music flair, afterall you are in Mexico!) Loved that it was right on the ocean, and you could take nice walks along the shore, although not for swimming, which was fine for us. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely book this hotel again when we go back to Cabo! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great to relax and enjoy excellent food & service."
We enjoyed the hotel which is located on the beach and offered great services in every segment of their hospitality. The food and beverage variety and service was unmatched. The only drawback is the closure of the beach for swiming, understandibly due to the roughness of the Pacifc Ocean.Genuine Expedia guest review
Adult only, fabulous hotel on the beach making for a very "ROMANTICA" experience! We got the all inclusive package and never regretted it. The inclusive allows you to use all facilities, & restaurants at the other two Pueblo Bonita Hotels, all within a short shuttle service away. (But, the Pacifica is the luxury hotel out of the 3) We also took the […] time share sales tour and received a $250 gift certificate to the spa. The staff are very warm and service oriented. Even the GM made an appearance pool side one day and we got an opportunity to express our delightful stay experience in person. I'm already planning out second trip for the fall. "Terrible, stay away"
Booked our vacation a month in advance for our stay 7-14 Sep 2013 for our 21st wedding anniversary. Got there to find out major construction going on without any notification during our booking or subsequently via email. Main pool and swimming bar were closed. Small pool was open but too small to accommodate all the guests. Lots of noise (jackhammers), […] debris and trash all around the pool area. The overall look of the resort was very disappointing. After several requests, finally our request was accepted to move to the sister resort, Peublo Bonito Sunset, which was a much better place compared to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. Overall quality of food and restaurants were mediocre. We travel to Mexico almost every year and stay at All-inclusive resorts but this was the worst place we have ever experienced not just because of the construction, but the quality of the place altogether, food, spa, gym, and value for the money. Stay away from Pueblo Bonito resorts altogether, there are much better places to stay during your hard-earned vacation time. Don't waste your money and time at these resorts. "Not what I expected"
Hotel had very good reviews. It was very dissappointing. The rooms were basic, the tv tiny and furniture very flemsy. They put us in a handicapped room for some reason and the hotel was almost empty. We had no tub, and no toilet door. The main pool had no water in it. When we got in they told us it would be operational the next day. It wasnt filled […] until the day we left. The water turned off suddenly while I was taking a shower covered with soap and I we were told it would back on in an hour. We had to leave before the water came back on. We went with a couple who had bought property in cabo and were interviewing builders. Their realtor was suppossed to pick us all up. When we informed the conceiger he said that realtors were not permitted in the property. This really upset our friends who will be going back and forth to Cabo to check on their house. They were looking for a hotel to come and stay while building. They will not be going back to Pueblo Bonito. We had to hire a taxi to meet their realtor at Cosco. Overall my husband and I were underwhelmed. I dont like to write bad reviews but this one is warrented. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"What a let down!"
When we arrived on Tuesday we were told the main pool was under construction and would be out of commission till Thursday. We figured that would be fine, as it would give us a chance to explore the other pools and sister resorts. Friday comes and main pool still under construction. When I asked management for a status update, they said it would be ready […] later today. Im no pool expert, but when there is no water in a massive pool, I would think it would take more than an hour or two to fill. When discussing with management they mentioned that I could have switched to one of the other resorts and this option should have been offered to me at check in, I can assure you it was not. Pool was not ready for use when we checked out at noon on Saturday. Additionally, the fitness room was not open. When booking online they had photos of what appeared to be a great fitness facility. They decided to renovate this at the same time they were doing the pool. Again, I was told they would be moving the equipment into a space so it could be used, however only a few pieces were moved and only one treadmill was working as there didnt have outlets in the room to support more than that. Very nice place, however I wish I had been advised the pool and fitness room would be out of order when we booked and I would have booked different resort. In addtion, I wish I would have been offered a chance to move, however we kept being told the facilities would be ready. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful resort but there was a snafoo"
Beautiful place right on the (unswimmable) beach, food was good, and the atmosphere was so calming/relaxing. Truly a couples get a way. It is a very cozy resort. That was until they started to jack hammer 1 of the 2 pools, about midway through our stay. We received no notice about this and the noise was unbearable. However, having said that, they were […] more then willing to move us up the hill to PB Sunset, the sister resort. One of the desk clerks actually took us there personally and made sure everything was ironed out and hassle-free with our transition. Our stay at Sunset was amazing, and honestly I think I liked it better as far as the grounds were nicer, more lush, it was a little more upbeat and the pools/view were amazing. Our room was also like 3 times bigger, it was like a suite. I would definetley stay at the resort again, either really b/c you have access to all of the resorts if you stay at Pacifica and was pleased with their guest focused attitude. The hotel was very nicely decorated. The facility was clean and modern. The food in the restaurants was great. The buffet was very good. Food at the pool side bar was OK. Some of the ladies answering the phone gave out the wrong information (e.g. what time the buffet started, the need for reservations, etc.), but […] we were eventually able to figure out what we needed to know. "Great Hotel and Staff!"
Although the hotel is on the beach, it is recommended not to swim in the beach since the waves are rough. However, the hotel has great pools that are relaxing and have a view of the beach. This is an adult only hotel, so if you are looking for time alone with your partner, this is the place to be. My wife and I went for our 20 year anniversary, and […] it was GREAT!!! The hotel staff is incredible. The are polite, attentive and there to serve you with what ever you need. We had an all-inclusive pass which was pretty cool. Pretty much everything is included. This is scary since you tend to eat and drink more than usual. There are an additional three resorts, which are NOT adult-only resorts, that are part of this chain which are also included in your trip. That means access to all the pools at these resorts, towels, and restaurant. All included. Awesome!! Free shuttle to these resorts too. The resort next to this one is called the Sunset. It is gorgeous and has great restaurants. The other two are in downtown about 15 minutes away, which the shuttle takes you for free, and is walking distance to downtown. So again, no taxi is needed. We did do the 90 minute presentation for the time share, which included a $250 Spa Certificate. Let me tell you, this alone was worth the trip. PROS: - No kids - Clean nice modern rooms w/ comfty beds. Every room has an ocean/partial ocean view - Siempre Restaurant: Delicious. Gregorio is amazing. We asked for recommendations on drinks & he came back w/ a cart & mixed at our table. He found out it was my bday, since there was live music that night inside, he had them play the Birthday song […] while he walked in w/ a Bday cake. - Sushi Restaurant: Konyi was great. He also brought me a cake. lol They cater to make people happy here. He made good suggestions. - Bellboy: Benjamin, "Bengy," is a really nice w/ good info. Always there to help w/ suggestions about the city, taxis, etc. - Activities: They had us play "Loteria" around the pool & gave out prizes. - Swim up bar: Israel & Rocio are great. They make you feel you are on vacation. Ask for a "Dirty Monkey" if u like chocolate. ;) CONS: - Front desk/Concierge: Front desk is not friendly. Welcome desk is 2 rude women trying to sell u time share/activities immediately upon checking in. SCAM. Avoid them & quickly get your hotel wrist band. Concierge is not helpful & a bit rude too. U have to be on top of things like confirming your pick up shuttle, etc. bcuz he won't. This was our first experience in an all inclusive resort. It was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and did anything they could to make your visit a good one. However, the seating at night, […] at Siempre -outdoor by the bar is really dark and you cant see what you are eating, ask to be moved, we did not and should have, this made our dinner a bad experience. Our experience at La Frida was awesome, order the Mexican Coffee for a great show, it worth every penny our waiter was Fidel. Take your camera. We also had a great dinner at the italian restaurant at Rose resort food was very good. They are working on the pool at Pacifica as many tiles have fallen. They are to have this completed sometime in Oct 2013. The only main complaint I have is that you have to pay to print your boarding pass, the price you pay for your stay should include this. This is a very relaxing resort and for adults only. Shuttles from one resort to another was a hassle. You had to get a ticket from the concierge. The food was fair. Their high end restaurant, Siempre, was very disappointing. We went there twice and both time we were disappointed. The drinks were good. The japanese restaurant was below average. The waitstaff […] was good, but not excellent. The main pool needs a lot of maintenance. Loose and missing tiles in several places. You cannot swim in their beach. Too many people bothering you about timeshares. Went snorkling and was not impressed at all. Not alot of fishes to see. I had high expectation of Cabo. "Resort that tries to reach high"
The resort first sets you to meet with a greeter that presents several options for adventures in Cabo. She offered us a breakfast where we would meet people that would help us arrange some adventures in the area, and I had deep sea fishing on the mind and my wife wanted to SCUBA diving. The very next day during the breakfast we have been hijacked to […] meet with a time share salesman and we wasted three hours through this ordeal. Sure, they gave us $300 for the spa that covered a massage for use both. The massage was a lackluster event and we never got to do any deep sea fishing. A location that supposedly have 4 1/2 star should not try to sell something via deception. The Puebla Bonito concept should have NO MORE THAN 3 STARS due to this mediocre treatment. I would definitely not tray with them again, as I wanted to feel treated honesty and have a relaxing getaway. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very remote and nice, more private than most"
The hotel was on the Pacific side and it felt very peaceful. The dining and spa was superior. The concierge was so helpful and easy to communicate with; we were able to book a ton of activities in about 20 minutes.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our primary goal on this trip was to unwind and relax. It was very chill because the property is more secluded and adults only. The grounds and pool area were beautiful. We spent most of the time sitting by the pool. The umbrella covered lounge seats are popular, so if you don't want to be in the sun all day, get a spot early. There are sister properties […] in the Cabo downtown area that you can take a free shuttle to and from, but you need to plan and reserve a spot with the concierge, otherwise you'll have to pay for a cab. This was easy to do. If you want to go in the ocean, you'll need to go to another area because the undertow of the ocean is too strong on this side of the Arch. There isn't much night life going on here because it is outside of the main Cabo downtown area. That was perfect for us. There is a bar and bonfire area where people gathered for drinks and socializing a bit. We loved the bar, and the two bartenders there were awesome! The all inclusive was nice because you didn't have to worry about food or drink cost, however the food was underwhelming which is the only downside. Service was a bit slow and hit or miss. It's all in the little details that can make the difference in an outstanding overall visit, vs. just a good one. It's good to have singles for tips. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Timeshare Tourist Trap"
All I can say is run from anyone offering you free tours, "champagne breakfast", or presentations. Maybe it is our fault because we just didn't know, but not only are you hassled at the airport by other hotels to come to a 'champagne breakfast' to tell them what you think of their hotel, you will then be coecred by your OWN hotel to go to their's instead. […] Not a single one will inform you that you will be stuck at the hotel for a '90 minute' presentation that for us lasted from 10:30-3:30pm, going from one room to another where middle aged sweaty men bully and harass you until tears begin to form and you think maybe I will buy this timeshare for thousands of dollars to get you to LEAVE ME ALONE! The high end Pacifica had no qualms that they had ruined the first day of our honeymoon and the free "activities" that were offered to get you to go to the breakfast itself were crap. About 150+ people snorkeling in the same spot via the Oceanus. The spa upcharged us on massages so our $200 credit wasn't even enough to cover 1 massage. A wonderful ambiance (though the room always smelled musty and moldy) with an ocean that cannot be swam in and poor room upkeep/service and no remorse and no manager to be found to complain to about the timeshare harassment and 'activities", has made this hotel one that we will not recommend and not go to again. Not to mention the airport shuttles leave only 3 times a day so be prepared to loiter for hours at the airport unless you time it just right. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
