The hotel and gardens were beautiful. Food was also very good. Room was very clean. Our ceiling fan was noisy and couldn't be fixed. The staff was very helpful when my companion had an accident. Directions were difficult to follow since roads aren't marked well. Getting to places like the volcanos took much more time than we had expected.

Very pleasant! They arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the airport for a reasonable fee. Service was good. The dining room is beautiful. The room was very nice, although there may be traffic noise if not facing the garden.

The only reason this was not a 5 Superb stay was the bathtub needed some work and there was a little bit of mold in the edges around the interior of the tub enclosure. Room was excellent, staff was perfect, and the mountain view breathtaking! We were treated like royalty!

This is a Costa Rican Hotel 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the Marriott or Four Seasons. Nevertheless the rooms, while not elegant, are very nice and well maintained. The service was excellent. The gardens behind the hotel, covering 8 acres are incredible. The pool is very nice and relatively private and the small gym is not bad for a hotel gym. The restaurant […] is excellent although a bit pricey by Costa Rican standards (not by American standards). The only downside is the location, which is a bit far from the beach, San Jose and most sites except the Braulio Carillo National Park, which is not far. Our 3 rd time at this place. We picked it because it's very clean, quiet and has beautiful gardens & pool. Only complaint is resturant. Very expensive and terrible food. Breakfast & dinner the worst, lunch tolerable. Located 20 minutes from airport, cost more for a Taxi but was worth the peace. Located in nice suburb.
