"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"The Westin Bayshore"
Great location; the restaurant menu is pretty limited and the charge for parking is ridiculous at $36 per day. Nice rooms and very attractive, very clean hotel.
Stayed in older rooms. Very thin walls. Loved the hotel otherwise, perfect jumping off spot for walk or run.
"Great Hotel, Service and Location"
Brought my kids to Van for the weekend. We were at the Aquarium and Stanley Park, so Westin Bayshore was convenient location. Everything about the hotel is top notch. They were very accommodating, letting us check in early. I had twisted my neck somehow so was in lots of pain, so the valet parking was helpful, as was the super comfy bed and hot tub […] for getting me up and going the next day. Parking a little pricy at $41/night for valet service, but hey you deserve to be treated first class! Dissapointted that they want an extra $15 for in-room wireless, but do have free wifi in lobby. No locks on bathroom door in my room, which is not great if you have kids or want assured privacy. The view however was spectacular, and the glass doors opened up to the outside, with a balcony, for a very breathtaking natural experience. Yes, worth the money. Read more
"Great Experience"
I'll be coming back to this hotel again for sure. Great value, scenery and location.

"Westin Bayshore, Vancouver"
What a great location, so close to Stanley Park, Gastown and shopping. Aside from the very high parking rates, which actually turned out to be quite convenient, this is the perfect location for a first timer or repeater.

"Beautiful hotel, good location"
The Westin Bayshore was beautiful; the rooms were very nice & clean & the hotel staff was friendly & helpful--all that I would expect from a Westin. The neighborhood was nice--close to a good restaurant we ate dinner at & a nice cafe for breakfast & coffee. We didn't stay in the city long, but if we had, or if you planned to walk around more, I would […] have probably chosen a hotel closer to more shops & restaurants. It was great for our purposes, though. Read more
"Westin, Bayshore, Vancouver"
This is our fourth year that we have chosen the Westin for it's proximity to the area we wish to visit, excellent views of the harbour and surroundings, very clean and comfortable rooms, exercise facility, and pools. Excellent proximity to Stanley Park, Convention Centre, seaplane transportation facilities to Vancouver Island, etc.
"Clean, comfortable hotel near Stanley Park"
Our room was very clean, sunny, and comfortable, the shower -a designer contraption- was a bit odd, but worked well. Wish there was a tub! Nice view from the windows. The hotel is clean and located near Stanley Park and the harbor, and not too far from West Side restaurants and shops. No free wifi. Parking is an expensive extra. It has a spacious attractive […] lobby and many amenities. Staff is friendly and helpful. Read more

"The Westin Bayshore - great harbor view."
What a beautiful harbor view. It was worth the extra cost to get that view of the boats, cruise ships and float planes. Carderas restaurant was less than a block away and had delicious seafood - halibut and scallops were a hit! Stanley Park was a short walk, and the Aquarium was outstanding. The hotel was not in the middle of town, but transportion […] was not a problem. Also the surrounding neighborhood had great little cafes. I would recommend this hotel. Read more
"Great Hotel"
We have stayed here several times because of the great location. It is right near Stanley Park so we can walk, ride bikes, and enjoy being along the seawall. The hotel itself is lovely. We did not eat any hotel food. There are many cafes and restaurants around. My onky complaint is the high internet fee per device. Many of the cafes have free wifi […] too. Read more

The location of the hotel on the water and the sea wall near Stanley Park was great. We also enjoyed the pool. We were dissatisfied with the wall view from our rooms, but a nice woman at the reception desk was able to change them for rooms overlooking the pool and the water. The rooms were nice, and the beds were very comfortable. This was our first […] time in Vancouver, but every time we asked the concierge to recommend a restaurant the answer was always something like "they are all nice" or "I don't know if there is that type there." One time the person just turned the screen so we could see it. We asked about a tour to a island and the person said that he had not been there since he was 5. I expected more. We were visitors there. We stayed in a nice hotel, and I expected better service. Read more
"Westin Bayshore - Vancouver"
The hotel is in an excellent setting and close to restaurants, the water and Stanely Park. It looks like the hotel could use some updating as the hallways were dark and drab. I would also recommend bringing your own toilet paper unless you enjoy singly ply!

"great Westin"
We loved our stay. We were upgraded from a partial water view to a high floor full view. Everything was great. Bed was comfortable and linens up to Westin standards. Will return.
"."
Excellent location. Great view out of room.
"Great View"
We stayed in the Tower Rooms and the view was beautiful. Our night's stay was QUIET and restful. In walking distance to amazing restaurants that display the variety of ethnicity in Vancouver BC. Close to Stanley Park for a walk or bike ride.
"The Westin Bayshore Vancouver"
This is the best Westin we've ever stayed in! The view of the water & boats were unbelievable & we felt like we were part of the outdoors because sliding doors opened up & we loved the breeze & watching sea planes take off & land. Wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was great & very helpful.
"The Westin at Bayshore"
Nice hotel but a little misleading on the view. I paid for a Tower Harbour view but the view was a peek a boo not what I expected. Customer service at the front desk said I will be getting a voucher for $5.00 a day for Starbuck if I did not use the daily cleaning service but never recieve the voucher.
"The old is still wonderful"
The Westin Bayshore is just as wonderful as we remember it from 30 years of staying here off and on. The new walk south along Coal Harbour to the Convention Centers is wonderful.
"Great Hotel and Location"
We stayed 8 days in the hotel. We were very happy with the location. We walked through the mid-downtown areas were there are a few other hotels that were more expensive than the The Bayshore, and we would not want to stay in those areas because it would feel that we were on a business trip rather than on vacation. The Westin Bayshore is in a perfect […] location. It has plenty of restaurants in walking distance. We were a short walking distance from Stanley Park and the Marina where most of the day and long-term cruises leave. We had no complaints about the hotel itself. The only complain was that the hotel parking was too expensive (self-park was $36 a day). Just a block away we were able to park for $18 a day or street parked for free between the hours of 10 pm and 9am. We did a combo of these two and saved a lot of money in parking. We are planning on returning and definetely plan on staying on The Westin Bayshore. Read more

"A very well appointed property"
Great location, Views and rooms. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on. The final room we were given was what the Westin Reputation is based on. Upscale and nice. Check in could have been smoother but everything after that was great.

"Wonderful and Quiet Hotel near Marina"
This Westin has a location that is incredibly convenient to Stanley Park, which is just a short jog or bike ride along the sea wall away. It is not in the central downtown area, but as a result it seems quieter. The hotel was in absolute top form for our October 2009 visit, which I attribute not only to the great staff and facility but also to the […] upcoming Winter Olympics. Everyone is on their best behavior and looking ! We stayed in a standard Marina View room on the 6th floor. It was a terrific view and I prefer it over the Harbor View room. There were very few negatives to our stay. One issue was that the bath has only a shower, no tub. The shower is also a bit odd in design as it has only a 1/2 glass panel that remains "open" while showering. The water stays in (mostly), but it makes for a drafty shower at times! Also, the bath has a sliding pocket door which lacks some of the privacy of a full door. These were just 2 small issues with an otherwise excellent room in a great hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Read more

"The Bayshore"
Was the nicest room we've stayed in in years. What a beautiful stay from top to bottom. We had a view of the park, the water, the city...Sea planes landing...just perfect...A little pricey in these lean times but worth it in my opinion.
"great location in Vancouver"
We chose this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. We were very pleased with the hotel's location. Within walking/biking distance to Stanley Park, iMax theater, Gas Town and Granville Island. Great family friendly restaurants also within walking distance. Only downside was that the indoor pool is under renovation and is currently closed. Outdoor […] pool was open but it was too cold outside to use, even in August. A Starbuck's is located in the hotel too! Read more
"Diappointing"
The hotel its self was nice but everything inside was Overpriced. But it said nothing on their web site about indoor pool being closed which was one of the main reasons we stayed there. Also, they charge to use the phone Even with a calling card. Dont touch the phone!!
"Great location"
This hotel is in a terrific location right on the harbor with wonderful views of city and the bay and very attractive grounds. It is close to many downtown sites and to Stanley Park. Overall it is a very nice hotel, but our particular room was right next to the elevator, which was very noisy all night. We were on the city side of the hotel, and there […] was a lot of street noise as well. I was disappointed that there wasn't better sound-proofing for the rooms. Read more
"Great place to stay when visiting Vancouver"
Beautiful location. Updated room in the main building. You can hear the seaguls early in the morning. Helpful staff. The kids loved getting a different juice from the lobby every day.

"Great location"
This hotel we great! Very clean - comfortable beds - wonderful staff. But best for us was the location. We didn't need a rental car for our stay in vancouver prior to picking up a cruise. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and do in the area. Would highly recommend this location for anyone spending a couple days in Vancouver before […] joining a cruise. Read more
"Great Location"
Beautiful, convenient location on Coal Harbor. We could walk to dinner, take bike rides around Stanley Park and view the sea planes landing and taking off. And the beds were sooo comfortable.
"Great hotel, slightly expensive"
Liked the location. Could walk along seawall. Picked up town trolley from hotel lobby. Good service, clean room, what I would expect from Westin.
