Skiing weekend with my sonGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel has charm but rooms are basic. Beds are comfortable which is a plus. Service is excellent. Location could only be better if you could walk to slopes :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient for skiers"
Inn is very convenient if your a skier, very close to mountain. Staff was attentive and polite. Property has no elevator and staying on upper floor has nicer view but be prepared to carry your luggage up.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Being off-season, we didn't expect much except a fair price. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a room with a fireplace, which was nice. No complaints. The breakfast wasn't special, but overall, a fair deal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fall Foliage Time"
We visited in the off season (October). The hotel only had a handful of guests. The restaurant was not open. The continental breakfast was fair, but not available until almost 7:30. A chain hotel in nearby Rutland would have been a better choice outside of ski season.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Almost at the base of Killington"
Older hotel. Mini fridge wasn't working but we didn't need it. Location. Location. Location. Surprised at how close it was to Killington Ski resort. Walking distance to the shuttle at the base of the mountain. Definitely an older style hotel but staff was very nice. Would stay here again. Don't know if I'd bring my family but for a guy's ski trip it […] would be fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Serves it purpose"
The hotel is a little out of date, but it serves it purpose. Staff is extremely curteous and professional. Great location right next to the Ski Resort. Santa Fe Steakhouse (in the hotel) was delicious. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"never going back, not worth half the price paid"
The Mountain Inn at Killington wasn't cheap, but the way it was built sure was. We heard every step from the room above us, the beds were short double mattresses, and no air flow in the room, except for the odd bathroom fan that sounded louder than a lawn mower. The no frills morning buffet wasn't very good .Basic Cable T.V. with no movie channels, […] or ESPN was only marginal at best. Go somewhere else! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"An "ok" place to stay"
We stayed a quick night, the front desk service was really great. Room was ok, but I didn't shower because it looked like there was mold or a lot of lime build up around the shower head and faucets. Didn't get to see the free breakfast as we had to check out before it was even served. No coffee maker in the room! That we wished we had...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic hotel, reasonable price, excellent location."
One night with my sister and 2 kids. We had a reasonable price, the place was basic. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and as accommodating as he could be. It met our needs. We were not expecting the Taj Mahal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the mountain is the only plus."
We checked in on a Sunday evening thinking it would be a quiet night since most of the mountain goers have left after the weekend is over. We tried to go to bed at a reasonable hour so we could get up early to hit the slopes. We were put across the hall from another guest, who I assume was the perpetrator of the awful night's sleep we incurred. At about […] midnight, people across and also down the hallway were opening their doors and having it slam behind them. This must have happened at least 10 different times between midnight and 2 am. The walls were so thin that you can hear almost every conversation and hear every door slam echo through the hall. We didn't fall asleep until at least 3 am which made for a terrible day on the slopes. I don't understand how the front desk personnel weren't hearing the loud noises and why they didn't do anything about it. The fact that this hotel is close to the mountain is the only positive thing about it. The bathroom sink was separate from the toilet and shower which is quite odd, the bed wasn't very comfortable, and the thins walls mad it impossible to have a restful night sleep if are stuck near noisy and inconsiderate neighbors. We will never be back, and I would never recommend this place to anyone if you feel like getting a good night's sleep before hitting the mountain. Waste of money. Small but clean hotel, comfortable and close to ski area. Overal nice place to stay, staff is good. Good enough to come for skiing and stay. Price a little high for that rooms but I guess it's was season.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, good comforts for a ski resort"
We loved the location and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were good for a ski resort and the heated outdoor pool was a nice way to end a day of skiing. The only knock I have is the lack of electrical outlets in the room. In this day and age, you HAVE to have more than one outlet for people to charge their phones, computers, etc.! Despite that, […] it was a nice stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was clean and convenient to where we were skiing. The rooms are in desperate need of an update. For the price I paid ( just under 200 per night) I expected the rooms to be a bit nicer. The beds were super uncomfortable and the rooms are very small. We were downstairs and I felt like we were in a basement. Overall it was fine, but I wish I […] had shopped around a bit more because we could have stayed at a much nicer place for about 50 more a night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good value thru Hotels.com"
The hotel is older as are the room appointments. The proximity to the base lodges is worth it. The deluxe rooms have fireplaces which are nice for instant heat All in all if you're familiar with Killington and the local accommodations this is a good deal. Continental breakfast is included which is nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"booked two nights, left after the first"
pictures look a lot better than the hotel in person. bed must have been from 1986, unbelievably uncomfortable. two people felt crammed in this little room with "fireplace & view". group of canadian fire men (?) checked in sunday day, they were rowdy, inconsiderate, blastic music, one even had a guitar, it was as if they have never been to VT before. […] spent almost 500$ to stay here for two nights, left the afternoon of the next day, front desk didnt even bother to ask why we were checking out early, they didnt care, they already had our money. we went across the street to mountain green got a "studio" for the night, with actual mountain views, an actual fire place, and a room 3x the size for only 40$ more. spend the extra couple bucks and save yourself the headache. "Back to the 80s"
The inn was right out of the movie Hot tub time machine. Very dated and rooms were set up weird. Bathroom (with no heat) had toilet and shower and then the complete other side had the sink and mirror. It seemed like a place my grand parent would stay. It's almost like they starched the sheets too. Night one they had a jazz band playing until 12. It […] was almost like they were playing in the next room over. But we were on the third floor and they were in the lobby. Night two people had a party somewhere on our floor which lasted until 3am. My friend heard this not me either wise I would have called the front desk Overall if you want to stay really close to the mountain and not enjoy your stay then this is the place. "500 yards from the lift"
A little bit past it's peek but you could not ask for a better location if all you are looking for is a clean room and really close access to the slopes. 500 yards from the Ramshead lift. Staff seemed eager to please. Free breakfast was a bit lame but if you stick to the coffee and muffins, acceptable. You can always catch an early chair and grab breakfast […] on the mountain. Also a five minute ride from the strip in Killington with any number of restaurants and pubs. Overall a very good value for the dollar. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Prime location, tired property"
Perfect location with free shuttle bus to K1 lodge at Killington, but tired looking hotel. No elevators, which isn't too big of a deal, but with lots of ski equipment, multiple trips are needed, not to mention climbing 3 flights of stairs with ski boots after a long day on the slopes. Room was clean and spacious, but in need of redecorating. Bed had […] a 25 year old non laundered bed spread, and was quite uncomfortable. More of a place for college students to stay at, not adults looking for comfort and relaxation on a ski getaway. Front desk clerk was very friendly during check in and check out. Will stay in the area again, but will look for a more updated property. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best Price closest to the mountain"
Very pleasant staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was clean and convenient for what we needed. The staff was very nice and helpful. Biggest complaint was the breakfast. It was disgusting. After the first day we went out and got breakfast at the mountain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall, I would stay here again - for the right price. Stayed here right after new years for a long ski weekend with friends, all mid 20s. Rooms were good but got a bit sstuffy. Beds were pretty for 2 to sleep on but doable. Hot tub is the outdoor pool which was nice. Not many jets though but still nice after a day of skiing. Service was great everyone […] was very helpful. I don't suggest eating/drinking in the hotel restaurant or bar (they don't even have fireball). You are better off getting a free shuttle or driving to look out tavern down the road. Not really a party spot if your looking to do that. Shuttle to killington is less than 5 minutes so that is nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Locations is excellent with the killington bus picking up right at the hotel. The bar had a nice fireplace and entertainment on Friday night. The whole place is very dated and in need of updates. Our room was below ground with the window right outside the steps of the shuttle pickup, at ground level which was very noisy. Don't expect to sleep late as […] the noise inside and out is considerable. The toilet would run and would need the insides adjusted even in the middle of the night. The breakfast was ok except for the obviously watered down orange juice and coffee. Really bad coffee. The worst part by far was the lack of heat in our room. The heat was only on in the middle of the night for a short time and the window leaked cold air. I stayed in while my family skiied and it was absolutely freezing. I asked the girl at the desk for heat and it was turned on for only an hour. Finally got the cleaning staff to bring a space heater on the second day and was able to warm up. The two men who were running the desk were very nice. Overall it was very disappointing especially for the high cost. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good Hotel, very close to Killington"
The hotel itself is quaint and certainly has the style and decor of an old style ski inn. The staff was very helpful anytime we had a question. The location is the reason for the inflated prices, the hotel is walking distance to the Killington Resort. The rooms are small but adequate, the restaurant is very good but is only open for dinner, the breakfast […] buffet is good but very limited (premade eggs, waffles, Cheerios and corn flakes, small bagels and bread) and the hotel has a lot of stairs. All in All, I think the hotel is a nice place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great view of the slopes out our window! !!!"
literally 2-3 minutes to the Gondola Lift! I liked this place, ALOT....room was clean, had a fridge we were not expecting. Halls were clean, good value at a low nightly rate!!! nice den area with fireplace & TV to just hang out & sofas in the halls made for comfy relaxation & the view out the window was fantastic, the front desk guys were great, very […] helpful & very friendly , the breakfast was ready & waiting for us each of the 3 mornings we were there & not too bad either... There was an awesome heated pool and we got to shoot pool the whole time we were there (for free even). They had DVD's to rent for the kiddos for free & all in all I will surely stay here again! oh.... bring an ext cord if you plug alot of things in.... not too many outlets for all our Ipods, laptops & phone chargers! good thing I had an ext cord with me! "Just when you thought..."
I was hoping to get some rest during my two day conference. But the walls were so thin the neighbors upstairs woke me up at 3 am. Not to mention the fire alarm battery signal was beeping every 13 minutes during the night. I was hoping the rooms would be a little nicer for what I was paying, but it was dated and drab.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely rural home"
We arrived late so we did not get the full effect of this home and setting until morning. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a comfortable night in a very pleasant room on the 3rd floor. The short doorways, uneven floors and small bathroom just added to the charm and rustic feel of the place. The wonderful breakfast of fresh fruit, German pancakes […] and genuine Maple syrup served in a lovely dining room started our day beautifully. Hotel was clean and staff was great, our issue was with the noise from the room above us and outside, which continued late into the night. The inn is in need of some upgrading. There is no elevator. The room was in very good condition. The fireplace at night was very nice. The balcony provided great views of the mountains. "Should be billed at an hourly rate"
This hotel is a cheap motel in a good location. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This place reminded me of a cheap motel that you would rent by the hour if you know what I mean. I stayed in this room for about 15 seconds before I had to go down the street and find a real hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient with a Smile"
I've stayed at a few different hotels in the Killington area and this is on par with what I've seen. Typical ski town hotel with good enough quality. This hotel is within walking distance form the mountain which is huge during winter months. It's also close to all the food and bars in the area. I will say that the service was excellent. The manager […] on duty, possibly the owner, was very nice and always welcomed us with a warm smile. Price was reasonable. If you want to impress your lady, this is not the hotel to put her up at, but if you're on a ski vacation with the family or friends, this is not a bad choice. I would stay here again. "Nothing Special, but Good Enough"
An "ok" little place very close to Killington Mountain. Stayed a Friday and Saturday night for a Spartan Race. Our first impression was that the main lobby smelled like body odor. We didn't know if it was the proprietors or some other guests who may have recently passed-through, but it was definitely on the pungent side. The place itself was kind of […] quaint; almost like a motel dressed-up like a ski lodge. The room was basic, but totally fine. On Saturday evening after the Spartan race we were kind of freaked-out that there was no hot water! But we told the guy at the desk, and in pretty short order the hot water was flowing, and the desk guy even called the room to make sure everything was ok. The continental breakfast was minimal, but most continental breakfasts usually are. Overall it was a decent stay at a fair rate for a resort area. A friend who stayed there at the same time said the bartending staff was exceptionally inattentive, and I believe him, but I cannot confirm that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The price was right for this hotel, nothing extravagant good place to crash after the Spartan beast. Perfect location for Spartan beast competitors since the event was within walking distance. I would stay here again if I'm crazy enough to do the beast again next year.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed there for the Spartan Beast. The room was clean and met our basic needs. The only real complaints we had were no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan. Nice woodsy cottage feel to this convenience hotel. less than 5 minutes to K1 lodge Only disappointment was that it was stated that there was a restaurant onsite as well as an included continental breakfast.
