Had a great stay at this hotel. They put a lot of money into making the rooms quality. Easy to find and impressed with the value.

I found the hotel to be a reasonable value. The hotel is old but they have done a nice job refurbishing and redecorating the facility. Completely unlike many older units in Santa Cruz.

The front desk staff was not very friendly. I think it would be a good idea to extend breakfast for an hour longer as well as the hot tub hours

Rooms were dirty, dirt on the walls, rugs stained. Pen marks and scratches on the dresser and nightstand. The bathroom was newer, but smelled like backed up plumbing. I asked for another room and they showed me a room which looked exactly like the one I was already in. I would not stay there again.

beautiful wood floors, nice interior, easy access to beach & downtown. my only complaint is they need to replace the mattess in my room. one side of bed is totaly crunched.

Room was large and clean. The only concern I had was that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

room key card locked us out every day and needed to be reset, otherwise fine.Pool area is very small but adequate if no other people are at it.

My husband and I were looking for a clean room to spend the night. We planned on being out all day and didn't require alot of amenities. However, the Continental Inn in Santa Cruz exceeded our expectations. The room was immaculate. Lovely new furniture, sleigh bed, pristine bathroom, great room service and very friendly and professional hotel staff. A great little breakfast room with fresh coffee,juice, bagels, croissants, muffins and more, free newspaper, internet access, etc. Beautiful landscaping, hot tub and pool. It was a great, little place for the money and met all of our needs and then some.

Mixed review because my friend's reservation for herself, husband and 3 children were botched- ended up with very small room, unable to put 2 rollaways in. So friend stayed in my room on a terrible rollaway- huge dip in middle. Very noisy on Sat night- someone mistakenly tried the door knob at 1am startling us out of sleep. We were all running the 1/2 marathon next day. Our bed was comfortable and the stay on Sunday night was much quieter

The only down side was the check in was across the street. The place was clean, fresh paint, nice little amenities. Over all nice stay for the money.
