"Family Trip Pre-Christmas"

My extended family had not met my 6 or 7 year old, and the teens were tots when they last saw them so it was time for a visit. Through in the fact that we wanted to see some snow before Christmas and a trip to Chicago made sense. The hotel was great, we had a Suite with a bedroom and there was a pull out couch in the living room. Breakfast was included in the price and it was excellent...and saves a bunch when there are 6 of us. The location was excellent for us as we had to visit family in the suburbs as well as the city. There are two negatives I will point out. First, the pull out couch was horrible (most are) but kids didnt seem to mind. Second, the kitchenette area is really more like a small fridge, coffee maker and a sink. Do not think this is a full kitchen liks some extended stay hotels offer..it is NOT. They have a pool and hot tub, and after the kids played in the snow all day, they loved warming up in the hot tub. We had an excellent time in Chicago, and we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was great. Only problem was location because you are not in the heart of Chicago but the train station is a stone throw away... takes about 20-30 minutes to get into the city; is also on the Blue Line, 1 of only 2 train lines that runs all night. Very close to the Chicago O'Hare Airport.

The Hotel is very well-maintained and has great amenities. Staff is very friendly and goes to great lengths to help you. The ambience of the hotel is beautiful. Only cons I can think of are: 1. They charge for internet in your room and in the business center. 2. There is no wireless in the room 3. The breakfast is very expensive. Overall, I would say I was happy with my stay and come back and stay here (if don't need my laptop & internet).

This us my families 3rd time staying at this hotel. This hotel is a few years old but it's looks like it was just built the day before we got there (I mean it in a very good way). The hotels and the rooms look extravagant and looks like the rooms are worth $200. One MAJOR THING to look out for is the extra parking fee. The parking fee consist of $15 for day time parking PER DAY, and the night time parking is $20 PER NIGHT. The breakfast here is really delicious and its a buffet style. Your meal can be costumed ordered by the chefs. The breakfast price is $12 per person. If you reserve a room that says children eat free it mean children 7 and under eat free. If you buy the room with the stay for breakfast, the meal comes free (one key thing about the breakfast is that if you reserved the room for 4 people only 4 people can eat under that room number) Make sure you bring tipping money for the chefs. This hotel even has a mini starbucks inside it but it closes around 6 so if you want it get there early

Comfortable rooms, great for family trips (living area in sweets and separate bedroom). Bathroom/showers very nice. Room service was great as well. While convenient to airport, the only negative is the location (15-20 min drive to anything fun without traffic)..depends on your priority.

Overall, I was disappointed with my family's stay at this hotel. The staff was great, cheerful and helpful, and I have complaints about that aspect. But the size of the room, classified as a suite, was disappointing and one of the smallest I've experienced when it comes to suites. It meets the technical definition, but with a family of 5 and the acceptance of the fact that I'm going to pay a bit more for a 'suite', I was disappointed. Also, on two of the three nights when my family wanted to use the pool, it was either closed for cleaning for a day and a half, or closed early because someone had a stomach accident that no one seemed to observe or find evidence of. The room safe didn't work and the shower leaked water causing a puddle of water n the middle of the bathroom causing us to have to utilize a towel next to the tub to absorb the water. I honestly would never return to this hotel. The staff was responsive in efforts to assist, but eventually you became tired of constantly complaining.

The service was outstanding! It was my family including my sister and her daughter, my wife and my daughter and my 6 month old son. When we first arrived the initial room they put us in, while listed as a suite, did not actually have a sperate room with a door you could close. we called their service team and expressed our concerns and they immediately moved us to a room with a door. Staying in a suite with 4 other woman, all with long hair, meant needing more shampoo and conditioner. The staff also was awesome and provided plenty of shampoo, soap, conditioner and towels after a very simple phone call. We had purchased the option to stay and eat breakfast and the entire staff at their resturaunt was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. With 3 kids in tow, they provided us chairs, children friendly cups and the staff even provided crayons and a placemat for them to draw on. Finally the pool was nice and clean and they even showed movies on both friday and saturday night that appealed to all ages.

I was not aware I would have to pay $20.00 for parking either. The plus side, everyone was nice and friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and there were lots of nice soft pillows present.

The only issue we had was that this site said two bed with a pull out, and the hotel said that the site only puts a room, not the request, so although the site said two beds plus pull out we ended up with one bed, and a pull out for 4 adults and 2 kids, but the hotel gave us two cribs and parking for no charge to compensate. The friendly staff gave our kids free snacks one night, and when the tile broke in our bathroom the staff was there to fix it promptly. Pricey breakfast incuded what most hotels give as their free continental. We loved the helpful and friendly staff!!!

I was only in town for a day, but the little money spent for the room was amazing. I did not expect so much room so to speak for the price I paid. The rooms are very spacious and the bed was just....AMAZING. I throughly enjoyed my stay there. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the shower water pressure was a little to low for my personal taste, and I wasn't expecting to day $20 for parking. However this is small compared to the wonderful and peaceful atmosphere that I received at the hotel. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I will surely be back.
