"A good place to stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
This is a good place to stay in Monteverde region. The price was right, the room was comfortable, the staff outstanding! Jose, the manager, was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The breakfast was good basic food that got us going for the day. The sheets and bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but that said, we slept well. The location is near to the downtown area that we could walk everywhere.

Rosa and Ever made our vacation a very memorable one. They went out of their way to make it special for our family and other guests to make sure they were comfortable and welcomed. Wonderful people and I was crying when we had to leave. Our kids still talk about them like we knew them for long time.
"Nice Little Hotel"Reviewed by Sue N of "Southern California" on Apr 9, 2012
Close to town. Not the Hilton by any means, but it is a nice little hotel. The owner and staff were very friendly and always willing to help with daily plans. Two small blocks away from the main street that runs through town.
"Nice place in the high grounds"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 22, 2012
I stayed with my two kids. I didn't book until the last minute and called ahead. The owner was kind enough to wait until we arrived. It is at least 30 minutes from Puntarenes if you get good directions, This is located off the beaten path and through winding roads in the higher hillside. Read the fine print and arrive before 9:00. Room was nice, view is beautiful and the drive up to the place is quite scenic. Breakfast was limited. We only stayed for the sleep and did not do any of the activities although we would have if we had time.

A cute boutique hotel. It has a lot if charm. The staff was attentive and helpful. Centered in town it was easy to get to sites & restaurants. A very reasonable price and a nice stay. The lava lounge is across the street, a very yummy restaurant. Plus great views of the volcano from third floor.

"Great stay for the price"
Beautiful grounds ... Well maintained room ... A bit far from the hub in la fortuna about 20 minute drive ...some like that it is a bit secluded- you feel like your living in the rainforest - saw two toucans at breakfast one iguana on the walkway to pool ! Didn't go to the spa but would have if I had the time ... So much to do in the area not enough […] time to spend at the hotel....hotel has very few rooms so the place doesn't feel crowded at all... "Gorgeous setting"
The hotel was lovely, and we awoke to a clear view of the Arenal volcano which we could see from our room's patio. The service was great and I would highly recommend the hotel. If you are looking to head into La Fortuna frequently for eating out, know that this hotel is further from the city than others and probably about a $25+ cab ride each way as […] of January 2012. "Lost Iguana"
Nice place overall, very green and surrounded by the rainforest, great breakfast, rooms are big. I would recommend it for the experience. If u want luxury than pick a 4-5 star place, not here.
"Beautiful"
Although this hotel is one of the furthest out of all the hotels around the Arenal, La Fortuna area, it was well worth it to us as we were looking for a place that was secluded and mostly natural. It has a "lodgy" feeling with beautiful grounds, exactly what we were looking for. The bed was a little stiff, but otherwise this place offers stunning views, […] many things to do, and wonderful food. ENJOY!! Read more
"Nice location, great rooms, great view of Arenal"
This hotel is located past the tourist trap area and town, and has a nice heated swim up bar, and interesting trails on the grounds. The restaurant is good, but we found the staff friendly but not as capable as other places we stayed. Overpriced for what you get, but nice.
"LOst Iguana at the Arenal Volcano CR"
This resort is a great choice for those who appreciate comfort and luxury but also enjoy a natural setting. Close to activities, and off site dinning, but over stated. Set in a natural rain forest location with abundant rain forest hiking and rustic trails. A very nice Costa Rican experience for anyone who would like to try the near-by zip line in the […] morning, hike on private rain forest trails in the afternoon and swim up to the pool side bar before dinner. Not to mention the breath taking volcano views from in-room spas and balconies. Read more
