The hotel was great for the price we paid, it was in a perfect location for walking to all the shops. The only problem we had was that we were actually there for the race in Bristol so we were not arriving back to our hotel both days until 2am so we did not wake up until 10:30 am and by that time the cleaning service had left so our room never got cleaned and by the last day we had no fresh towels or toilet paper. So just make sure you get up at a early time if you stay here other than that it was great!!!

The hotel is so-so but $$ for value were not there. I will be staying elsewhere the next trip.

The parking garage is small. but i managed to get an F150 Supercab in and out fine. Just had to go out the entrance a few times, park tight. I'd stay here again. we had a room with Fireplace on the 4th floor and it was fine.

Overall you have to be a little "nit picky" to point out the downsides of this hotel. The bathroom was clean except for a little mold at the bottom of the shower curtain. You could not tell if it was mold stain or active mold. Also, our room had a gas fireplace in it which we thought would be nice, but only the pilot light was working and when we asked about it we were told that there was a problem with all the fireplaces on that side of the building. But other than that it was nice.

Most of the hotels in Gatlinburg are old and outdated, so it can be difficult to find a nice hotel at a decent price. My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our one-year anniversary and have decided that next time we go to GB, we'll spend a little more money to get a nicer hotel. This place wasn't too bad, but we didn't feel very comfortable and even left a day early on our trip because we just wanted to be at home, rather than at this hotel. The walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors on the phone and outside our window. The bathroom was on the small side and didn't seem very clean...we spent as little time as possible in the bathroom. The AC made the room VERY cold and it would get VERY warm when turned off. Everything also felt damp while the AC was running... Don't expect to enjoy the free breakfast. All that we saw was coffee, watered down OJ, and dried-up donuts! Otherwise, the bed was comfy and this is a decent place to sleep at night. You'll get what you pay for at this hotel...We stayed at the Clarion for our honeymoon last year (located at the end of the GB strip) and both my husband and I agree that from now on we will always stay at the Clarion.

When I went back later that night to park I went into the smaller parking garage and there was no parking left so as I was leaving the garage because it was to small I cut the car to close and scrapped the side of the car against the block in the garage.

The room was smaller than in the virtal video. Even though it was't winter the fireplace didn't work. The cleanliness of the bathroom could of been better. The shower walls had hair on them and the mat in the tub felt and looked dirty. The sink also had hair in it. The toilet hardly flushed, and the floor in the foyer and bathroom felt gross. The air conditioner in the room its self cooled so much that the carpet was wet. The beds weren't too bad a little hard but ok. We ended up on the forth floor which overlooked the parking lot behind the restaurant part of the hotel and no one told us we would be woke up in the early morning by the trash truck. The parking deck is very small so if you want a good spot you need to go early. The plus side was being in walking distance of all the stores and restaurants.

My room, on a fourth floor corner was clean and had a dramatically beautiful view. I was attending a conference and the hotel was situated across a parking lot from the Conference Center and down the block from Gatlinburg's Main Street. Close enough to be able to grab a quick meal, removed enough to be away from the clamor of a busy tourist town. However, the person I was traveling with had a different experience. Her first room, on the second floor had an AC that spewed mold. She asked for and was given another room, but that one had a less than clean bathroom. Her request for the bath to be scrubbed out seemed to be met with deaf ears. Two other quibbles were the poor quality of the so-called continental breakfast and the daily 6:00 a.m. emptying of the dumpster outside our wing. Still I'd return for the price, convenience and that great view of the Smokies.

My first room had a large leak in the ceiling right next to my bed. After I unpacked, the water began pouring in. When I alerted the three young men at the front desk, they registered no surprise as they moved me to another room. To get to this new room (rm 230), I had to splash through soggy carpet in the middle of an indoor hallway. This room, besides being next to a smelly indoor puddle, had a low ceiling made of of discolored and broken ceiling tiles. The bathroom sink was 18" x 18" with no counter space at all. There was a hole in the bathroom wall that had been "repaired" with a wad of toilet paper. I lit a travel candle on the nightstand next to my bed-- the one with the least scary tiles hovering above it-- and slept as well as I could. I got yet another room early the next day. This room (rm 219) was better, although peculiar odors emanated from the bathroom-- does the cleaning crew use disinfectant? Also, the new hallway, this one without apparent leaks, smelt very strange throughout my stay. Like rancid spice . . . I do not know who is writing the reviews for this hotel on hotels.com, because this place is really sub-par. According to the reviews (and considering the low price), I expected a no frills room-- you know, a bad view, stale coffee, worn carpet, some old paint, and slightly scratchy sheets-- but basically a clean room. I got less. Although I saw no large bugs or gross stains, a small bug walked along my pillow one night as I lay in bed, a light layer of grime lay on every surface, and a hint of mold filled the "spice-scented" air. I braved the rest of my stay once I got to rm 219, which must be one of the better rooms, but I would never, ever stay here again.

I was prepared for disappointment because of the price of the room but we were very satisfied. It's not a fancy hotel, but it was very clean and updated for the price. The pool is small is the only complaint and the parking garage looked difficult to maneuver but we got lucky and checked in at exactly 3pm and got a great parking spot on the side of the motel. We parked our car and walked and used the trolly for the rest of the trip. It worked out great, and we will definatly return to this hotel. They also gave us a gift bag with some good samples when we checked out.

We came into Gatlinburg and were happy that after hours of driving there was somewhere to walk outside of the hotel. The beds were soft and the price was reasonable. We found out that our aunt and uncle had stayed here just a few days previously! They liked is alright, too...The breakfast was a waste (dry cereal and dry donuts) so we are likely to stay elsewhere in the future, but for a single night as a stopover, this wokred fine. We are looking forward to a longer stay in Gatlinburg in the future; at that point, we'll either camp or do another hotel with better breakfast offerings.
