"nice exterior, shabby interior"
We stayed @ the country in B & B one night. We were a bit disappointed. The interior was a bit shabby. I was surprised by the overly gushy reviews. We've stayed @ other B & B's. This one seemed like it was not owner in residence run & that changes the whole flavor of these establishments. The public area had a sm. refrigerator that was empty. Snacks were microwave popcorn & 3 sm. bags. of M & M's. No freshly made snack that usually give these B & B's a special oomph. Our rm. was very tiny & rd. noises loud. We had the rm. nearest the front which made it nearer the highway. The breakfast was good.

"Tea, linnens and more"
I was very car sick when arriving and the lovely hostess not only made sure I had hot water for tea, she offered ginger candy to help while it boiled. The linnens smelled fresh from home, everything was very clean, breakfast was ideal (she considered my no dairy diet) and the garden was a magical addition. The mattress was a bit too stiff and it is challenging to be patient with the other guests when they forget not everyone wants to over hear hurried conversation at 8:30 am. All things considered it is worth he price and we will likely visit again.

"y first B&B stay was a pleasant one!"
It was our first visit to Ft Bragg and our first time ever to stay in a bead and breakfast. We both were very pleased! The lack of TV in the room and lounge area was a plus! place was very clean and the bedding very confortable, We were served with excellent breakfast. We will definitely go back and its like we stay in same place.

"Very nice B&B"
Our room was nice - not the largest, but comfortable. The highlight was the breakfast. Fantastic, and beyond expectations (way better than the usual B&B fare of eggs, toast, bacon). Staff was very friendly and helpful with information about the area. Good parking in the back - it's not obviouis from the street, so it was nice to find.

"Quiet, quaint, comfortable and great value"
Well located on Main St, my room in this charming inn was well appointed, the bed was super comfortable and the linens luxurious. There was good sound proofing so the room was quiet. The hostess is warm and friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast. I would stay here again if I visit Fort Bragg in future.

"Comfy & Cozy Inn near the ocean"
The Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to many great restaurants, the ocean, and downtown night life. Rooms smallish, but perfect for a couple. Bed very comfortable. Clean towels provided each day. Hot tub in the back was a nice touch. Breakfasts were fabulous--very tasty & filling. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

"Best first honeymoon stop"
It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so we really didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. But the inn keeper was extremely nice, we had a beautiful room with a fireplace. It was a wonderful experience being able to sit next to the fireplace with your loved one all night without a tv just talking and growing closer and closer to each other! You wake up to a wonderful aroma of fresh coffee and a home cooked breakfast waiting for your arrival at the dining table. She is an amazing cook, and an amazing inn keeper. We'd recommend this place to anyone! You will absolutely love it!!!

"Cozy, Friendly and Great Breakfast"
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and it was nice to meet other people staying at the inn. The room was cozy, relaxing, and within walking distance to everything. The only problem I had is that I could hear street traffic that started at 5am, so it was hard to sleep.

Christine, the Inn Keeper was the Bomb! She made our stay wonderful. The B&B was fine inside, and cozy; outside lacked the appearence of maintanence. However, I think you'll enjoy as ours was restful, yet near the recreation we sought. YAY!

"Lovely"
Such a cute B & B! We had a sweet room with dormer windows and all the rooms have their own bathroom. It was walking distance to Glass Beach, and an even shorter distance to downtown where we ate dinner at a cafe and enjoyed local musicians playing jazz/bluegrass. The breakfast was amazing! Poached eggs over fresh asparagus with perfect red potato home fries and hearty bread and jam. Delicious!

I was extremely disappointed to pull up and find out this was a bed and breakfast. This was not said in the description. Although the room was decent inside, it was noisy. The outside is pretty run down. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, you might want to find a different hotel.

"Perfect for visiting North Coast Brewery"
The location of the Country Inn is perfect for what I wanted. I came to Fort Bragg to visit North Coast Brewery (in addition to a few other places) so I looked for a place to stay nearby. This place isn't just nearby, it's a 2 minute way away. As for the place... the rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The common area was very pleasant with a fireplace that was going when we came in. There were also chocolates and popcorn to snack on. And then breakfast was a nice change of pace from the buffet style chain hotel breakfast. We had bananas foster french toast with scrambled eggs, bacon, orange juice and coffee. Maybe the richest breakfast of my life, but really, really good.

"cozy and comfortable"
We found our room at this B&B to be clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were graciously greeted and made to feel at home. It is a smaller Victorian "cottage" but we were still very pleased with the place. I was a little surprised that there was no TV (or phone) in the room, but that proved to be a sweet benefit adding to the peace and restfulness of the place. The breakfasts are great, beautifully served in a charming front room. The B&B is located on the main street in Fort Bragg but the traffic noise was not an issue for us. We found this location to be advantageous since we were exploring up and down the Mendocino coast. Yes, we will return.

We spent one night at this Inn, then two nights at a large Hotel in mendocino, with an ocean view. I wish we had spent all three nights at this Inn. I thought the outside was not especially inviting, but inside It was quite lovely and well maintained. The new owner was very friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast.

"Don't miss this Bed and Breakfast"
08/24/15 anka30 Los Angeles, California
We greatly enjoyed staying in the Chantilly Room. Upon arrival I was a little concerned as the room is somewhat under the stair leading to the upper floor, but it turned out to be no problem at all. The breakfast was amazing!!! Stuffed french toast with peach-cranberry-ginger compote one day and the other fresh cranberry scones, potatoes, and sausage. Devine! I wish Christine would serve breakfast like that at my house. The afternoon wine was still there when we came back from our dinner, which was a nice touch as we missed the social time at 5 pm. We would certainly go back! FYI: Sea glass beach is within walking distance and so is downtown.

The best of our one night stays of our 3 week road trip. Driving through Fort Bragg I spotted this place and told my boyfriend to pull in. Warm welcome from the owner, good price and comfy room. No television but it was nice to have an early night. Went to the nearby brewpub for an excellent meal. Breakfast was fresh, and huge. Owner was happy for us to leave the car while we explored the next morning. Wine glasses in foyer so we could enjoy the wine we got while wine tasting on our way to Fort Bragg. Would highly recommend!

We spent only 1 evening before driving to our next destination but wish we could have spent 2 more days there. Christine and her Mom were very warm and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. Our room and bathroom was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Loved the fireplace in our bedroom as well. My husband loved the warm chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies in the afternoon and early evening. Breakfast was Awesome!! Christine was making bread pudding the next morning with a peach, cranberry and ginger compote on top along with sausage and eggs and asked about any allergies. I mentioned I do not eat gluten so don't worry about bread pudding for me. She immediately responded, oh but I can make yours gluten free and she did. It was so delicious. I absolutely loved it. Thank you Christine :-) We so enjoyed our stay in your beautiful Inn.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Country Inn B and B. Well appointed bathroom.... Best I've seen in a b & b. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable shared sitting area. We didn't use the hot tub, but it was nice knowing it was there. Beach access is definitely more than the two blocks we had expected, and we couldn't find the actual beach glass beach, but the b & b stay was lovely.

We were there for a night only and we arrived late. Christine waited for us to come, it was so nice of her! The room was cozy and comfortable. We were literally next to everything in town. Their breakfast was the best I ever had in a B&B! Fresh eggs are served with delicious fruits and french toasts. There is this welcoming feeling like you are home away in this place. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone. Thank you Christine for making our short stay memorable!

This is an adorable B&B. Country Inn truly describes the place and the rooms, complete with the chickens out back! With the chickens, you get fresh eggs for breakfast. Our bed was so comfortable with the down comforter and the bathroom was spotlessly clean! Enjoyed the wine and cheese at 5pm (local wineries) also. Would definitely stay here again!

The Country Inn provided a wonderful, welcoming experience for our anniversary. The room we had in the back was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and pretty much held us over until dinner! Bring your appetite! We also looked forward to warm cookies every afternoon. Needless to say, we had to do some serious walking to work off the calories! Beach access and paved trail are just a couple blocks away. Lovely place, lovely hostess, we'll be back.

"An interlude before going home"
07/04/15 Jean G Kensington, California
We were upgraded to the upstairs front room--and were warned about potential street noise. We heard very little; it seems to be a quiet town after 11:00 pm or so. The second evening we took advantage of the hot tub...the usual type which was good and hot and comfortable. Two nice touches: homemade cookies in the common room and, should we have wanted, there was a small refrigerator and microwave available. Both breakfasts were lovely. The frittata was very good and the stuffed French toast with fresh fruit was a special treat before a long ride home. Riley is a wonderful Corgi and helped us feel at home.

Hubby and I went for our wedding anniversary. The home was comfy and welcoming. The food was fab! We enjoyed watching the chickens in back. This property is just 2-3 short blocks from the beach and shopping. Christine her mom and her little dog were great hosts. I would definitely stay there again.
