We had an excellent time. The room was beautiful and very quiet. Everyone who worked at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Because the pool is heated we were able to swim in January. The best part was the park across the street is where we spent most of our time. We would definitely stay here again.

We were given a handicap room with no prior knowledge. When I went to the front desk, I was told they could not move us, even though there were rooms on our floor being cleaned at the time. They were reserved for "other guests". The manager assured me she would contact me the next day to move us to another room, but no such contact occured. Lovely, chic, couples gettaway. We stayed 2 nights at this charming hotel. Delightful bedroom: king size bed, dark furnishings with white linens and glass chandeliers. Fabulous sensual double 'window' from bed area overlooking the large oval bath tub. Stunningly furnished bathroom with all fixtures working well. Shower is an over-head 'rain' shower […] #I personally prefer stronger, angled-jet showers#. Good choice of films on the good-sized flatscreen tv. Room service provided lovely food and very professional but expect a long wait of 1.5hrs for breakfast if you didn't reserve it the night before! We had a great couples spa treatment session - lovely spa area, very clean and professional. Slow service at the bar down in the casual lounge, but beautiful atmosphere. My husband and I went to the hotel for a romantic getaway. The room they gave us was moldy and smelled terribly of sweat. It took two hours, (during which time several staff people came by with room deodorizers) for them to determine that the problem could not be easily solved, and we were moved to another room. My boyfriend and I came to Savannah for his friend's wedding. They had blocked off rooms at another hotel closer downtown but I looked up Savannah Hotels online and fell in love with this one! When we arrived our room wasn't ready yet, but they took our phone number and said they would call us when it was ready. The hotel lobby smells so good when you walk in, I ended up buying one of the candles they burn. The hotel art is kind of different but it makes for an interesting conversation. The hotel room is just like the pictures online. The shower and bathroom door are glass so there isn't much privacy except for the curtains you can pull together to create kind of a wall. But I was just amazed by the bathtub! There was a concert going on in Forsyth park Saturday night when we were there. The couple that got married came by our hotel one of the nights we stayed and we showed them around, they were equally impressed. Valet was very attentive and always asked if we needed directions anywhere. Our last day we ate breakfast at 700 Drayton, amazing! Had to fight nightly with ill fitting bottom sheets. The sheets did not fit the king size bed and we stayed 6 nights! Pain! A fire drill at 2:30 A.M. was not pleasurable either since it took the fire trucks half an hour to arrive and another 15 min to ok our return to our rooms! The minibar refrigerator had a broken lock which I reported soon after checkin, yet nothing was done about and all the refrigerators refreshments were very warm. Used wine glasses were left in the room for 2 days and garbage cans in the room were not attended to. on 2 occasions, we returned to the hotel to cool off poolside, yet could not because of […] small receptions near the pool area. I had requested a room with 2 queen size beds, but received a room with just one bed. I was compensated,but I was still irritated. They showed the room with a sitting room and a bedroom, on the internet and in brochures.We did not have a flat screen TV as advertised. The furniture was nice but I would not consider it as magnificent furnishings as was […] stated in their advertising. It was just like a regular motel room. There was marble everywhere, which I guess was supposed to make it fancy. It advertised an in room jacuzzi and all it had was a garden tub. There was a set of doors just above the tub that entered into the bed area that would not stay shut. There were glass doors for the toilet and the shower with the sink in the same area so just one person could use the bathroom at a time. I paid the extra to get a special room and it was just OK. What was fantastic was the the wonderful lady that cleaned our room. She was extremely nice and very perfessional. They need to hire more individuals like her. I was missing a piece of luggage which was delivered to the motel, but I was told it would be kept by the front desk when in fact it was delivered to our room. I was not notified and they placed a black case in a corner of the room, but left no message that it was there. After inquiring for about 6 hours, I finally found it. The food in the room and the restaurant, I feel was overpriced. I would not recommend for a family but would recommend for a special event-engagement etc. Read more

Everything was wonderful! Beautiful rooms, art in the hallways, excellent service!! I would stay at this hotel again...absolutely!! The only things I can say that are negative would be: 1. Not a lot of light in the room. We were on the 1st floor and the window provided a lot of light, but when you are getting dressed you need to draw the drapes because […] the sidewalk is right outside the window. 2. The toilet was separate from the sink, which was good. But, we had a room with 2 queen beds - so we were not a couple. The door to the toilet, which was right in front of the sink, was glass, so you can see through it. Same with the shower door. For someone using the shower or toilet, you had to be in the bathroom alone because the person at the sink can see you! If the doors were not glass, it would have been easier for multiple people to get ready at the same time. 3. The restaurant next door - 700 Drayton - had excellent food, but slow service. The waitstaff was very nice, but they need to work on their efficiency and attention to details...especially for the prices you pay there. But, the decor and friendliness were excellent. Read more
