I was kinda concern since the reviews I read was not favorable because of the reconstructions going on. The room I was in was just done. The room I was in was in the corner so I did not have any other customer room either side of me so I did not hear anything. Only complaint I have, I do use handicap parking and they had one of the spaces with a trailer or some type with building materials. The other space was always occupied. The breakfast was not the greatest but the room it met my expectations and what I needed. I was attending a conference/convention at a more expensive hotel which was just a short distance. If it was not raining, I could have walked. The internet access was quick, it could have been since I was close to the wireless unit.

stayed one nite, room was clean and comfortable no problems finding the place, was handy to waco and temple texas on rt 6. price was right and available on the nite we needed. my only problem was the water it tasted bad and was very hard. i would bring bottle water for drinking.

I needed a room for an overnight graduation visit to Waco, and was happily surprised with the cleanliness and amenities I found. Very nice room, for very little expenditure.

This hotel is looking beaten and used. The furniture is ratty and the entire room is due for some remodeling and upgrading. Nothing special about this for sure! The price is not competitive now that there are newer suite / breakfast hotels in the immediate area. I will not be returning to this hotel.

"OK to stay in for One or two nights"
Overall room was not to bad with one exception. The sofa bed was in very poor almost unusable shape. It sagged and was falling apart. Area around hotel as OK nothing eye catching just OK. Breakfast was the normal fare nothing exceptional
"Good Place for the money"
Good Front Staff. Everything was as advertised, and the breakfast was very good (try the spicey sausage). Would stay again.
"easy location"
We didn't hang around the hotel for any amenities. We just needed a place to stay on our way to Dallas and on our way back. Furniture was older, but clean.

"Country Inn, Waco"
Average hotel, seemed to be very clean. It's all we needed for our weekend hunting trip. Bring your own pillow though, the pillows that are provided in the rooms are wafer thin.
"Good hotel with good location."
The hotel wasn't impressive, but it was nice, and it was clean. It's location is excellent. The staff were wonderful. It's one of the few pet-friendly hotels in the area, and there was no extra charge for our dog. The shower was pretty nice too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Country Inn at Waco"
terrible breakfast...even bad for Country Inn. Burned, dried out eggs, not hot cereal...even instant available. Coffee was cold and not fresh. No one ever managing the front desk. Stayed here for 3 days and rarely saw anyone working.

Hotel room was fine except for a musty smell that stayed both days.
"Perfect location"
It was a perfect location from where we needed to be early the next morning. Easy in and out with check in. Breakfast was good, but you could expand on that a little. The room and bed was very comfortable and we all rested. Thanks

For the price, this hotel had old furnisfings. Breakfast was not a full fair as advertized. Biscuits and bagels were hard as rocks and scrambled eggs were like packing material. Waffle maker needs replacing.

"Not far from Baylor University"
We were in town to move my daughter into her apartment. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I got a very good night's sleep. Check out time was 12:00 which was convenient as we were able to move her in then come back to the room for showers. I would definitely stay here again
"Very confortable and clean"
This hotel has a hot breakfast along with all of the yogurt, cereals, juices, fruits, muffins, etc. You can make your own waffles! Very nice dining area and most of all very friendly and helpful staff. Nice workout room and laundry. Our room was well appointed with a microwave, mini fridge, table with 2 chairs, recliner, and comfortable beds. Nice linens […] and everything was very clean. I didn't use the media room but it would be great to have the computer, printer, fax and copy available for traveling for work. They also have a library for you to take a book and read during your stay. If you don't finish the book, take it with you at no charge! Turn it in to a Country Inn at any location and this hotel donates funds to a literacy program. I will stay here every time I travel to Waco. Read more
"I would recommend to any others"
The hotel looked and smelled cleaned. I was pleased the comfort of the bed. The price was very fair for the location in reference to the highway. The negatives: No fresh cookies like at all other Country Inn and Suites that I have been a quest of. Also, the water pressure in the shower was much less than desirable. "Country Inn & Suites Waco - Comfortable & Clean"
We often have good stays at Country Inn and Suites locations; this multi-day stay was also very pleasant. Very close to interstate (thus convenient to everything in Waco), yet not much traffic noise. Hot breakfast available and menu varied slightly each day, room was fully cleaned every day. Fitness room is small but we used it twice; equipment was […] new and in working order. "Good Experience"
This hotel has great access to the IH-35 but no noise from the road. We stayed in a suite with a pullout sofa.The room and all facilities were very clean and my wife and I had no concerns. I watched TV only once and could have used a channel guide but this was not a major ordeal. Also the establishment offered a continental breakfast that seemed sufficeint. "Stay AWAY!!"
Horrible...I don't know where to begin!!! Location - not on my GPS system... Convenience - only one elevator... Quality - VERY musty smell in hallway AND in the room... Comfort - the sofa bed folded up on my daughter so she ended up sleeping on it like a couch!! Air conditioner sounded like a train was landing!!! "The Country Inn and Suites by Carlson"
They are updating the hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor which appeared to be totally renovated. It was very nicely done, clean, neat, and very comfortable. Our room was very nice, the beds very comfortable, and everything was fresh and clean. I will look forward to staying again!

This is a very comfortable place to stay. It is close to Walmart and many restaurants. This hotel is just off the highway for ease of travel.
"Not bad for the price"
The room was clean except for the carpets. They could have used vacuuming. The staff was not overly friendly at the front desk. Their was no oatmeal which is so helpful when you are trying to make a healthy choice at breakfast.

Don't trust google maps to find this hotel. Getting to the parking lot was tricky. Booking through hotels.com made check-in/check-out super easy. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Heater was a little musty when we first turned it on - but I didn't notice anything afterward. Next time I'll ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. "Pretty Nice for the Price"
For a Country Inns by Carlson, it could definitely use a bit of freshening up, but overall was pretty nice. Clean, safe and standardly appointed. The area is not that great though...I wouldnt go back to a couple of the fast food restaurants across the interstate...scary crowds.

We stayed here while dropping my son off at Baylor for Welcome Week. Very nice, clean hotel with a good, basic breakfast, friendly staff. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, just a nice experience. Definitely would stay here again.

"Good for the money"
It is a very clean and customer-friendly hotel. It is a good budget hotel room to stay in if you are just passing through. I stayed in a King bedroom with full fold out couch. I had a toddler, infant, teenager, and grade school kid rooming with me. We all fit quite comfortably. The room's door would not unlock, but hotel staff fixed it within minutes. […] The room was very clean, but did have an overpowering smell of bleach coming from the bathroom. Nice to know it was clean, but a little too strong for our noses. Other than that, we woke up refreshed and relaxed. The free breakfast was ok. No one was really manning the bar, so a lot of cereals ran out. For the money, it was good. We stayed at this hotel for our childen's swim meet. The location was GREAT and there were many places to choose from to eat. "Wonderful hotel close to everything."
I absolutely loved my stay here. So did everyone else in the family. The pool was awesome and had a heating lamp so you could swim at night comfortably. It was nice having the conveniences of home available without having to pay an arm and a leg. We had one slight problem and it was corrected promptly. I would definitely stay here again!
