The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting space in addition to the bed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, etc. Only complaints: 1) Early wake up call not received as requested for first morning (good thing I was up already) 2) Very noisy kids running in the hallway the first night 3) Radio came on early on second morning (I did not set it) I would stay here again.

t think for the price I don't think you can beat the place. Yes its a bit dated etc and parking could be tight (especially if those people with big trucks who can't park!!). If you want a cheap hotel its for you, if not, then pay more and go elseware.

Our stay was very pleasant an comfortable, and all of the staff were amazing. We had the best time in the bar with our sever who we made cry as she was laughing soo hard!! The menue was exquisite and our server, Julia, treated us like royalty! Our favourite dessert was some frozen cheese cake balls, twice!!! "To die for" is all I can say about that. I would highly recommend staying there as you are only minutes from Banff.

Location.
Ski in and ski out at Sunshine Mountain Lodge in Sunshine. You'll be within easy reach of Sunshine Village and winter activities such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Other regional attractions include Upper Hot Springs and Mount Norquay Ski Resort.
Resort Features.
Have fun with onsite winter activities, including downhill skiing and snowboarding. After a day on the slopes, relax in the spa tub or enjoy the use of other facilities, including a sauna and a fitness facility. This mountain resort's ski shuttle will get you to the slopes in no time. When the sun goes down, sip après-ski drinks in the resort's bar.
The resort offers 2 restaurants and a coffee shop/café. Public areas are equipped with wireless Internet access (surcharges apply). Guest parking is complimentary.
Guestrooms.
Rooms have mountain views. The 84 guestrooms at Sunshine Mountain Lodge include CD players and windows that open. Wireless high-speed Internet access (surcharge) is provided.
Televisions are equipped with satellite channels.
Turndown service is offered nightly and housekeeping is available daily.

Guests check in at the Gondola Base Area. Check-in desk hours are the same as the gondola operating hours. Guests are requested to be at the Base Area check-in at least 30 minutes before the last gondola cabin departs. Once checked in, guests ride the gondola to the Village (about 15 minutes), and the Lodge is a short walk away.
The front desk in the Sunshine Mountain Lodge is staffed 24 hours. If planning to ski on the day of arrival, guests may check in earlier, but should note that guestrooms are not guaranteed until 4 PM. Changing rooms (for getting into ski gear) are available at the Gondola Base area.
Guests arriving outside of the aforementioned hours must request a complimentary shuttle to meet them at the Base Area. Arrangements must be made by calling the Sunshine Mountain Lodge Front Desk (24 hours advance notice required; phone number will appear on reservation confirmation). A courtesy phone is located at the Base Area next to the hotel check-in for making last-minute shuttle arrangements if necessary.
