"It was a really nice property w/ great amenities."
Needed some sunshine, went previously decided to go again. Was sad to loose an hour due to daylight saving, but it was still good. They ask guest to check 1-2 hours early for a restaurant voucher for $10-20. We wasn't going to take off then we decided what the heck, and took them up on the offer. It felt a little weard leaving early, since we had planned to stay till check-out. It made you feel like they wanted you out asap (kinda un-welcomed).

"Best location in Seaside"
We got a really nice three bedroom condo with a balcony facing the beach. The location is just amazing. In the end we never left the room as there is a corner window with a full ocean view and two swiveling chairs there. The weather was terrible so we just sat in the corner all day and it was very nice. We did walk out onto the balcony a time or two which was also very nice. They also have two large hot tubs and a heated pool. We did not use them but they looked great and many people did. Overall an excellent facility.

"Nice condo, fit the bill for what we needed"
I thought this was just a time share facility, was surprised to see it offered on Expedia. Right on beach in Seaside, OR. Stayed in 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo, full kitchen/living room area. Beds weren't quite as soft as hotel room mattresses, no maid service, no shampoo/conditioner/lotion type of amenities offered. For price offered was a good deal for room size and location.

"Right in the beach"
We enjoyed our vacation. The weather was in the 60's so the heated pool and hot tubs with a beach view came in handy! The location is perfect - on the prom, a few steps from the beach and broadway street which is the Main Street with shops, restaurants, and activities for the kids. The resort also has a workout room and lounge/arcade area. Friendly, helpful staff.

"Big, comfy rooms, great location"
Great place to stay in Seaside. Keep in mind it is a timeshare though, even if you book here. This meant no daily housekeeping but everything else was as expected. We had a room overlooking the pool which was very loud beginning at 7am with kids yelling, keep that in mind when booking. Great views of pool and ocean though. Well appointed suites, comfy to hang in.

Rooms are very comforting and clean, you find everything you need in the kitchen to fix a quick breakfast or lunch, the living room has the fireplace where you can relax and let your stress melt away... you can hear the ocean... all good.

"Do not book this hotel with Hotel.com"
My whole transaction was a disaster booking with hotel.com and started by reserving this hotel. I was called 2 days later stating this hotel was no longer available. No explanation, a sorry that didn't sound sincere and a charge that I had to argue for a week to get back. I can't tell you anything about the hotel but hotel.com seems to think I still stayed there....

Qualified! Only one week before leaving, we were told the hotel was overbooked. We had booked in mid-July and had a receipt, confirmed and paid for, that had guaranteed us all a much needed break from our son's fifth year of chemo treatments. This mix-up was a hard stumbling block to take. However, Nola, of Hotels.com and Tim, agent for the Time share condo, worked hard to help us. As it turned out, my son's energy held for the week and the weather (forecasted to be a week of steady rain) was great. The upgraded room was very well appointed, clean, with an enviable view, and all in all, it was just as lovely as we had planned for, with the addition of an even greater view. A big Thank you to all those involved. The accommodations and service were lovely.

"Great location and Pool"
08/13/15 fishmister Syracuse, Utah
Stayed a week and loved the location of the resort right on the beach. Convenient access to broad street out the side door. Rooms were clean and updated. If you see the sun make that your beach day because tomorrow may be overcast and cold. Noise from the pool and cars checking in can be a little annoying at times. Tillamook trail is 5min to the south and offers great back country experience. It is a 6 mile trail but we hiked in for about an hour and turned around. Near the south side of Seaside beach at low tide you will find tide pools around the rocks. Make sure to visit Cannon Beach downtown and haystack rock that is 20 min to the south of Seaside. Seaside is a great location for seeing all the coastal towns from Astoria to Cannon Beach. I have never appreciated the majestic beauty of the Oregon coast until now.

"We love this place!"
08/05/15 Bruce H
We've stayed here twice in late february and early march as guests of a worldmark owner (three of my co-workers are owners). Aside from one very stormy day we've had some awesome weather. The room was very comfortable and the whole place had a positive vibe. It's great to walk on the beach and up to the bookstore. Seaside has a fun 9-hole golf course and there's more golf in Gearhart. Cannon Beach is a more upscale place to visit. And we always enjoy spending time in Astoria (we usually loop from salem through lincoln city and then up to astoria and back along the columbia to portland and back to salem). We've heard some rumblings about rooms getting stuffy (no a/c) but so far we've done ok even on some sunny days (albeit in february). Feeding the seals at the aquarium is a blast. The sales presentations can take a while but weren't as high pressure as i expected. We did wind up buying into the "trial" Discovery program (ask about that if you aren't ready to take the full plunge into ownership) and are planning our trips now.

Super convenient! Loved having a washer and dryer on vacation. Walking distance to anything you want in Seaside. Only negatives... elevators too slow and no shampoo provided. Ahhh, we survived just fine!

"Annoying check-in process, unhelpful staff, underwhelming room"
07/24/15 Michele N Portland, Oregon, United States
Check-in took over an hour waiting in a long line, followed by 15 minutes of sales pitch. There were many exhausted and unhappy families in that lobby, so clearly our experience wasn't unique. We checked in at 6pm to be told our reserved and pre-paid room was not ready yet, but we could get our room number "hopefully around 7." I received no contact from the front desk by 8 pm, so I called the front desk from our traveling companion's room. First they had to argue and insist that I had been called already; we finally got a room number at 8pm ... 4 hours after check-in. The closet smelled strongly of dog pee and industrial cleaning supplies. I couldn't hang our clothes up, so we opened the windows and aired the room while we went out to late dinner. Weird aside to cap the day: after getting to sleep at midnight, the front desk called us on the room phone, claiming we reported a beeping alarm. We had a one-bedroom unit, priced over $200/night. It had an ocean view in the technical sense, but mostly a sea of balconies, the building lobby and HVAC box. As for "resort" amenities: they provide a bar of soap, and that's it. No shampoo, wash your own towels and take out your own trash. We won't be repeating this experience or recommending to others.

"Perfect location!"
07/22/15 SpokaneMom Spokane, WA
We are WorldMark owners, but this was our first stay in Seaside. We were lucky in January to book a one bedroom unit for 3 nights in June; usually you need to plan much further in advance. This resort has the perfect location, on the main drag in Seaside and right on the beach. It was very busy the entire time we were there. We loved that the pool was warm enough to swim in and also made use of the hot tubs. I did end up getting "hot tub rash", but I was the only one in my family of four that did. I did not notify the management since it really didn't bother me until the day we left. We had just come from the Long Beach property, so we did not attend a sales presentation at Seaside and were never pressured to do so. The scheduled weekly meet and greet was canceled when we were there. This location does have coupons available for area restaurants and shops, so check the hallway by check-in before you eat out. Our one bedroom unit on the 7th floor had a murphy bed that our 2 kids shared the first night. The final 2 nights one kid chose to sleep on the couch and housekeeping brought us extra sheets very quickly. We were on an inside corner, so we did have a small view of the beach and the layout was great, with the bedroom at the end of a hallway away from the living room. My son and I made use of the exercise room, which was perfect except we had no way to change the TV channels or volume. The only improvement I would suggest is to add a clothesline in the shower so that people to not need to hang their swimsuits on their balconies to dry. We made use of the kitchen facilities and they had everything we needed. We made a run to Safeway when we arrived and also stopped by Papa Murphy's pizza for take 'n bake. On the one day Seaside was really socked in with ocean fog/mist, we spent the day exploring Cannon Beach, which was completely sunny!

"Overbooked no free wifi"
07/17/15 509KingofKings
Without a doubt a great place, that being said it has issues that are in desperate need of addressing. Motel 6's offer free wifi and you don't? The pool needs to be open until at least 11pm this 10pm is a joke as there is much to do near and around the resort. Next is the fact that this place is always over sold/booked and when originally purchasing the "timeshare" it was with the guarantee that each year you could get in the same time. Not so much now. The place is mostly top notch however stating they are a hotel is not accurate as it is a timeshare. The staff is always friendly just be prepared for extremely high pressure if you attend a sales meeting. They will try and get you to buy no matter what. As General Akbar in Star Was said once "It's a Trap!" The rooms are very nice quality and the beds are nice as well. It is very clean despite the in and out of beach going people. All in all it is a nice place to stay but they have a few archaic rules for "family freindly environment" such as the pool.

"Great location in a fun little beach town"
07/14/15 Tungster Portland, Oregon
Seaside, Oregon, is a fun little beach town. It's got a nice stretch of beach, a 1.6 mile long paved path parallel to the ocean, and lots of shops and small attractions down Broadway (the main street emanating from the beach into the heart of the town). There are a number of places to stay in Seaside, but if you want to be on the beach, the choices are more limited. There's the Shilo Inn, a couple of independent hotels, and then the Worldmark. The Worldmark and the Shilo Inn sit on opposite sides of Broadway, so they're at the "center" of the beach. We've stayed at numerous Worldmark locations ranging from Depoe Bay, Newport, Anaheim, Vancouver, this one, and others. This one is probably my favorite of all the Worldmarks (though the Anaheim location is a close second). The resort is laid out kind of like an H with another line closing the top. Rooms line the top and the sides of the H from floors 2-7. The middle line of the H is only the ground floor and consists of the main lobby, convenience store/food stand, conference rooms, and business center. The area in between the bottom of the two sides is the pool area. There's also a nice game room and fitness center in the bottom level of the top of the H. As far as I can tell, each room has a small balcony with gas grill. Most of the rooms have a view of the ocean. The rooms are decent sized, although the secondary rooms are oddly shaped with some wasted space in back. There's ample parking in the top three floors of a four story garage. The fourth level is exposed to the elements. The game room has a back room with some video and pinball games. The main game room has a couple of pool tables, a foosball table, an air hockey table, a ping pong table, another video game (Galaga/Ms. Pac Man), and a large TV. All of the games except ping pong require coins. The fitness center is open until 10 p.m., which seems strictly adhered to. There are three treadmills, three (I think) stationary bikes, an elliptical or two, free weights, and one of those all-purpose resistance training machines. It's well stocked with towels. On to the pool area ... there's a large pool which is not a typical rectangular shape, but instead is curved. Occasionally there are jets of water shooting from the deck in an arc into the pool. There's also a large hot tub, and a small wading pool for toddlers. Overall, this is the best place to explore Seaside from, or just to relax.

"Great resort and locatioin"
07/08/15 taylor426 Eagle, Idaho
We have stayed here before but it's been awhile. They have remodeled which is nice to see. We had a 3 bedroom deluxe unit. TV's in all bedrooms and deluxe rooms are floors 5 and higher. Check in was good and not too much of a sell to attend the owner's update. We said no. They did call 4 times though which was annoying. Our room was nice on the Ave A side so less traffic noise and nice view of pool and beach. The unit had the expected things in them. My one complaint is that housekeeping needs to do a little better on cleaning. Clean the light switches, the doors, the kitchen cabinets, take down the poster pieces hanging up on the wall. Also, we are owners and expected a pool/bath towel exchange, guest services told us we had to wash our own towels. Not! The managers were not happy to hear about this at the meet that manager's session. They need to get all staff trained well and more informed about activities going on in town. Apparently short on staff but this still is not a good excuse. Several times we asked about events and we were not helped so we had to look up everything on our own. The pool and hot tubs were ok. The temperature varied a little bit in the pool where it got cooler but it was still ok for swimming. The hot tub was busy and I wish they would enforce the no child younger than 6 but they don't. The foyer are is nice with the fire place and location of the resort is great. Enjoyed many walks on the beach and fires on the beach due to the location. Seaside is a favorite family place to go to.

"Can't wait to return!"
06/30/15 Carla H
I've been a Worldmark owner for 10 years, but this was my first stay at this resort. I'm kicking myself now for waiting so long! I immediately booked two penthouse 3 bedroom units for a family get together next year. You just can't beat the location. Right next to the turnabout, easy walking to the main shopping district, short drive to grocery shopping and a drug store. The large pool and two hot tubs are right on the Promenade, so it's easy access to the beach. I would highly recommend booking 13 months in advance. Look for time during the Kite Festival or the sand castle festivals. Also, plan for the drive down the coast to Cannon Beach and Tillamook (for jerky, ice cream and cheese!) Parking at check-in is challenging, and parking spaces for larger vehicles were tight but I never had a problem finding a parking spot.

"Great place to stay"

Location, rooms, all amenities and staff were wonderful. The rooms are very nice and clean. Only reason not 5 stars is price and people smoking on their balconies (drifted into our room). I would stay here again.
