The room was very clean and warm. The fact that the room was warm was great because it was a cold and windy day out. I hate having to wait for a room to warm up while you get situated. The staff was very nice a recommended a very good restaurant for dinner. The bed was comfortable and i really didn't want to leave the next day. I would only suggest a better quality of towels. They were a bit on the small side and scratchy and there were on 3 "large" towels provided. Everything else was great. This was my first experience with Red Roof Inn. I would definitely recommend it to a freind/family member and stay again myself.

We had a wonderful room (King Riverview) overlooking the river. Spectacular view, soothing, relaxing. The room was nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and all was very clean.

never stayed in a b&b before, Dick and Jane were great hosts, our room was fairly small but we were not there much. you can tell they really enjoy the breakfast, Jane had 10 different, jams, creme cheeses and many other options. the hot cooked food was amazing. i am extreamly satified and if i ever find myself in NJ again I will be at the Lillagard, […] there was so much to do within walking distance. Could not take food or drinks into the room, they would lock front door in the middle of the day we did not know when to keep the front door locked, felt like intruders,very uncomfortable, I would not recommend this B&B.

Location was less than a block from the beach. The staff was nice, breakfast was simple, but good. Dining room was totally victorian, but not stuffy. Hotel was built in 1877, so floors were uneven and rooms were small. Oversized chess game in the front was fun.

The Lillagaard Bed And Breakfast provides old-fashioned charm and modern comfort. The proprietor was welcoming and attentive -- for example, providing access to the internet when I needed it. The breakfast buffet was generous and delicious. For one nostalgic for Victorian gentility and charm, the Lilligaard is an ideal choice.
