We arrived early and the front desk was very accommodating with helping us check in and get settled. The unit was clean, well stocked, very comfortable and a bargain at the price. Only downside was a late afternoon influx of ill-behaved children at the pool which drove us (and others) away. The staff was also very helpful with information about local restaurants and other services. This was the nicest stopover on our 12-day tour of central CA.

Room or should I say the condo was great. Had all the amenities you will ever need and the privacy of two bedrooms. The grounds are spectacular!

Greeted by a very cheerful (almost too happy, youthful staff in a Disney-type fashion. Condo was very clean with a pleasing interior design. Great A/C. Plenty of space for a large family, or even two smaller families to split the cost. Could easily accommodate more sleepers on the floor. Two bathrooms (1 on each floor). Hidden in-wall bed in the family room was a nice feature. The place seemed perfect for kids; we saw many smiling faces. Great kitchen. Had all the utensils needed for typical stove-top and oven-cooked meals. Washer and dryer available but we didn't use them. Gas grill out back. Not a bad drive to Yosemite - leave early and you'll have no traffic.

"A "Gold Nugget" in the Gold Country"
04/24/15 Jennifer G Grass Valley, California
This is our third visit to this location, and I am so pleased that they maintain this property so well. I even think they renovated since we were there last. It's well appointed, with the "jumping frog" theme running subtly and not so subtly throughout. Spacious (we stayed in a 2 bedroom no view, but we had a peek from upstairs) Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. I was disappointed that the game room had several games out of order including the pool table. Loved the addition of televisions in the pool area that you could view while relaxing in the very large jacuzzi, or swimming in the pool. Well located for historical sites nearby as well as many caverns to visit and big trees park. Be sure to ask the front desk staff for suggestions on places to eat. Next time we will check out barrel full of monkeys (indoor play area) with the kids for sure - was highly recommended, just didn't have time this trip.

"Let time slow down and just relax"

I love this place ! The property itself is nestled up against a golf course. The property is big and has very spacious units. The are 2 heated pools, 3 jacuzzi's, full size basketball court and tennis court, a clubhouse with a gym, arcade, ping pong table, and an air hockey table. There are couches and a big screen TV to watch. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen. You just need to bring stuff like plastic bags, saran wrap, foil, condiments, oil, and food. The is a bbq on every balcony and a picnic area that has multiple grills by the main pool. There are studios, one, two, and three bedroom units here. All fully equipped with big screen TV, DVD, stereo, fireplace, kitchen table and chairs, washer & dryer, and couches. Make sure to bring toiletries as this is not a hotel. They supply a lot of things, just not shampoo and conditioner. I believe they sell some in the gift shop if you forget. This trip was just my 10 year old daughter and I. We basically stayed on property the whole 4 days we were there. Only to leave to get some grocery needs. Which all shopping and dining needs are about a mile away. This was spring break so there were plenty of kids for her to play with at the pool. I think we were only out of the pool to eat and sleep ! She loves the pool area. One of the best things I like about this place is that you can be in a different little town by just driving 20 minutes in any direction. The town of Murphy is just up the road and offers wine tasting, dining, shopping, cave exploration, and a little bit of history. Drive 10 minutes south of Murphy and you will find a neat historic town of Columbia. This is a historic gold town abs is kept to period. Old wooden buildings and signage. No neon here. All shops and proprietors need to keep the image of the good rush era. There is a good mining station were they teach you how to pan for gold and had a good mine for running sometimes. There are a couple saloons to grab a bite to eat or have yourself a sasspirilla. There is a museum that tells you the history of the town and gold. The is blacksmith, firehouse, an old jail, schoolhouse, lots if litte shops to buy trinkets and soveniers, and some old houses in town. There are lots to see here but you can get through it thoroughly in a few hours. Take a stagecoach ride while you are there. Take a little drive maybe 7 minutes away is the town of Sonora. This is the biggest town in the area and has lots to offer. It has restaurants, antique shops, retail shops, and sites to see. It is more modern yet you all get the old time feel. Now head back towards Angels Camp and you will want to go to Jamestown. This is another gold town with lots of antique shops, a few dining places, eclectic retail shops, Harley Davidson motorcycle shop, gold mining store and gold planning troff. Now 20 minutes away is Downtown Angels Camp. There are more antique shops here, movie theater, retail shops, restaurants, a park, and the rest of the town. As you drive through town back to the resort you will pass more restaurants and the first shopping center with Save Mart, Walgreens, Mikes Pizza, Taco Bell, and Burger King. You are 2 minutes away from the property now. Time to get cleaned up, eat dinner if you haven't eaten yet, put the kids in the care of grandma and grandpa or your oldest child. If no kids, even better. Just get cleaned up and head out toward Sonora. Just minutes past Sonora is Black Oak Indian Casino. Great dining and lots of gambling fun. As you can see this is why Angels Camp is one of my favorite resorts to visit. There is so much to do in the immediate area. This is a great place to come as a family with kids or just a couples retreat. Happy traveling

"Spacious and thoughtfully appointed"

We didn't take the tour or use the common areas so I can't speak about the staff. We stayed in a two bedroom that did not have a golf course view. As such, it was very peaceful - I presume that more people request those units which means more neighbors, and more of the noise some have mentioned here. We had complete quiet aside from the birds. I do have to mention that i expected a tiny TV based on one reviewer's complaint. Silly me, I need to remember that some people just need to find something to criticize. But the TV? Seriously, it was a larger than average big screen TV - one of 3 in the unit, that you could watch while making dinner in the fully-equipped kitchen or while sitting on the deck with its very own BBQ. I'm assuming that last part because I didn't watch much TV - aren't these reviews supposed to help other travelers decide whether to stay here - because of the area's attractions, and the facility's appeal? The TV wasn't as big as the flatscreen in your home? How is that helpful?? And seating? A couch, two wing chairs, six dining chairs and two bar seats aren't enough? Ok... We found two nice hikes that didn't entail getting in the car - one of them is off one of the adjacent residential streets and placards tell some history about this property We also took a shortcut and walked to historic downtown Angels camp. Enjoyed Murphy's, dinner at Diamondback Grill in Sonora, and dinner at Sidewinder's in Angels camp. Loved the spacious bedroom on the second floor and appreciated all the amenities that you don't always get at other timeshares, like laundry detergent and a lighted makeup mirror and substantial ceiling fan. We only stayed 5 days, if we had stayed the full 7, then I'd probably be complaining about the lack of cleaning. At our home resort in Lake Tahoe, the rooms are cleaned every other day, seems like. In sum, if you are coming to the Gold Country to have a big screen experience, I would advise you to stay home. If you are coming with the expectation that you want theatre seating for 7, then make sure you look up the closest movie theater. But if you are coming to rest, relax, see some beautiful scenery, and get close to what life was like for people in CA in the mid 1880's, you'll enjoy it here. In great comfort, I might add. Love the plush pillows.

"Well Run & Maintained Facility"

Stayed here for a week. After spending some time in San Francisco we rented a car and headed inland and used this facility as a base while we toured the area. We rented a 2 bedroom unit which was very well equipped; had everything we needed including a great private gas BBQ on the veranda which came in very useful. If you are golfers (which we aren't) you will probably love the golf course located next door; - we only used their restaurant which was 1st class and highly recommended.

"Renovated condo units are comfortable and modern"
03/07/15 Wdee2013 Los Angeles, California
This Wyndham property is recently renovated and is available to Wyndham timeshare owners, RCI timeshare traders and individuals not affiliated with either. Wyndham now owns RCI, the timeshare exchange company, but there are still locations within the multi building complex that are designsted for each of these three groups. As RCI timshare exchangers, we were given a corner, 2nd floor, two bedroom unit i. The "C" building, on the main entrance street as you enter the complex. These first three A-B-C buildings are designated for RCI, and all face a small parkway of trees and a road leading to another golf and eventual residential area. There is a property for sale across the street, so it may well be developed in the future. The road was occasionally traveled, but car noise was discernable, and there was no view to speak of, save some lovely trees and their host of birds ( and apparently the plentiful woodpeckers thought thst the wood-clad buildings were another tree, so nature was tapping throughout the day). There are additional alphabetical buildings in the complex, some with spectacular views of the surrounding golf course and even more spectacular hills beyond ( higher alphabet buildings, such as O,P,R). Tho some buildings ( building Q) and others, the great balcony/patio BBQ area of each) unit faces the parking lot. So if view means alot to you, there is a great deal of variance, even with the golf course views( some ground floor units have more of a view of a rock and bushes berm. So inquire. The staff is very, very friendly, welcoming and informative. They are one of the best groups of resort staff we have ever encountered. After a quick check in, you are referred over to the Activities section, which of course are the Wyndham timeshare salespeople. They are very friendly and helpful as well, providing local activity information and discount coupons. They were not pushy at all, and that was much, much appreciated. We did not participate in the sales breakfast, but of course it did come with incentives. Probably would have if we had more time at the resort. The condos themselves are very well done, with new furniture, granite countertops, stylish decor and decorator touches. Really nice. Great benefits of: washer/dryer in the unit, separate master suite with a small balcony ( in our corner unit), window seat, electrical outlets in each night stand, the aforementioned gas BBQ on the generous sized balcony patio, Wifi was fast and easy to access (apparently has been recently upgraded and access for up to two devices was free with a coupon that the front desk gave us. About $10 for the week allows you to use 3 or more devices). Found that the TV cable channels selection was more than enough, and you could also rent movies from the front desk. There were activities on the weekend ( Friday night chocolate and wine tasting, and another event on Saturday). Pools were heated even in this early March chill, and there was a pool table and various video and pinball type games in the main rec room for the kids. Fitness room was just fine. In the condos, there were great supplies: more than enough dishes, wine glasses, pots and pans and utensils. Enough coffee and sugar/creamer packs was provided for about two days ( two coffee packs) but there were filters enough for the week. There were small cannisters of salt and pepper, but no other spices, condiments. No leftovers from other guests...just very clean ( spotless, really) kitchen. Small hotel sized toiletries were provided in each bathroom...enough to get two people through about two days. So additional shampoo/conditioner would have to be purchased from one of the many close markets/ CVS or brought along. Actually really loved the stay, and only suggestion would be to 1. Have trash pick up in the nearby complex dumpsters start after 8... Got wake up calls from trash trucks at 7:30...on two different days. Same for gardening services -- one morning awoke to a close-by weed whacker at 7:15. 3. Room darkening window coverings...we woke up with the sun. All would have been nice alarm clocks for working people...but hey, we were on vacation. Plenty to do in the area: drove to Big Trees (20 miles) to see the Sequoias and hike, walked down to Natural Bridges ( a water eroded cave and small river), wine tasting in the area and close by town of Murphys ( 9 miles), Gold Rush exhibits and museums in Angels Camp, Tuolome County and many other locations. Mercer Caverns ( just outside of Murphys) and other caverns/caves to explore in the area. There are great dining options in nearby towns also.

The quaintness of this facility disguises just how really nice it is. The staff was ready to jump if we had said how high. The service was outstanding and very professional. We will come back to visit this place again. We enjoyed playing on the Golf Course and not being rushed. Very relaxing time which is what anyone wants when their trying to unload a little stress. If you get a chance to come here and stay a couple of days, DO IT, you won't regret it. We will be back.

"Yosemite, wine, and gold mining"
02/13/15 justus2now
We had a late check-in, no problem since the desk is staffed 24/7. Our 2 bedroom condo was ideal. We loved the decor, frogs of Calaveras County yet classy. From this location we drove 10 minutes to tour a cave, 15 for wine tasting and strolling through historic gold mining towns, and 2 hrs through the beautiful Sierra mountains into Yosemite National Park. We did endure the sales presentation but they didn't have much to offer us. We're already RCI owners. Our gas fireplace didn't work. We told the front desk and they attempted to repair it. Since it needed a new part they offered to move us but we opted to stay where we were. We were fine. We made good use of the hot tub, the large grill and patio, dishwasher, washer and dryer. After spending hours outside hiking and sightseeing, the cozy living room was a great place to rest each evening. We'd love an opportunity to return some day.

"Winter was excellent!"
02/06/15 Spinner48 Lompoc
Had a fabulous time and was able to check in when we arrived in the early afternoon. Very pleasant front office staff was there to greet us. The lady who showed is what to do in the area was very nice and informative. We decided to do the timeshare info talk that following Monday . It was very informative and we learned alot. Don't by until you do your research first. Just a warning! Since we were RCI owners we got the unit on the outside of the complex. Unit #B 103. It was fabulous with 2 beautiful bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The murphy bed was nice too. Much better than a sofa bed. The kitchen was nice and we had a fireplace. Not very much of a outside view but "oh well" Nice BBQ on the outside patio was a nice addition to the unit. Very clean and neat. The bed was amazing for me! The website needs to be updated to let people know that their is activities for people to do there. One pool and hot tub was open which was very nice and the weight room was pleasant. The game room was nice with the video game s, pool table and the other game was nice too. The area surrounding the complex is beautiful. The homes surrounding the golf course are great to walk around in. If you play golf you will love this place. It is very cold in the winter time so come dressed for it. Bring chains if you plan on going to the snow!!!!! The small town of Angels camp is cute but not much there. A nice Safeway with plenty of items to stock you for your stay. A nice health food store as well but very pricey! Come prepared to drive around and explore the area. Bring maps and know where you want to go because you do not want to get lost after dark! The surrounding towns are wonderful but again do your research and use your time wisely because when it gets dark driving becomes a challenge. Big Trees National park is amazing but very cold in the winter!!! Enjoy wine go to Murphy's wow around 20 tasting rooms! Loved this town. Sonoma is very beautiful with fun things to see. Columbia state park was a blast with so much to see and experience. California cavern was actually open because of the drought and is a must see.

"Exceeded Expectations"

My wife, sister, and I are enjoying the last full day of our week here at Wyndham/Worldmark and could not be more pleased with our accommodations. Friendly and efficient staff, clean and spacious 2 BR condo, superb outdoor hot tub, fast and reliable internet, and a beautiful view of the distant hills and golf course below----all in close proximity to good restaurants, wineries, and Calaveras Big Trees S.P. We also spent a pleasant day visiting Yosemite, hiking below Halfdome, lunching at the Ahwahnee, and gazing at the incomparable El Capitan. This was our first visit to Wyndham/Worldmark and we are already planning to come again. More to see and do at this resort than we had time for. Highly recommended.
