We arrived early and the front desk was very accommodating with helping us check in and get settled. The unit was clean, well stocked, very comfortable and a bargain at the price. Only downside was a late afternoon influx of ill-behaved children at the pool which drove us (and others) away. The staff was also very helpful with information about local […] restaurants and other services. This was the nicest stopover on our 12-day tour of central CA. "Great place to stay."
Room or should I say the condo was great. Had all the amenities you will ever need and the privacy of two bedrooms. The grounds are spectacular!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Roomy, pleasant, well-equipped"
Greeted by a very cheerful (almost too happy, youthful staff in a Disney-type fashion. Condo was very clean with a pleasing interior design. Great A/C. Plenty of space for a large family, or even two smaller families to split the cost. Could easily accommodate more sleepers on the floor. Two bathrooms (1 on each floor). Hidden in-wall bed in the family […] room was a nice feature. The place seemed perfect for kids; we saw many smiling faces. Great kitchen. Had all the utensils needed for typical stove-top and oven-cooked meals. Washer and dryer available but we didn't use them. Gas grill out back. Not a bad drive to Yosemite - leave early and you'll have no traffic. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The place is not a hotel but is a place where people in timeshares thru Wyndam. Loved the room it was very comfortable for us with a 3 and 5 year old, lots of space. My only constructive comment is that the bedroom is in front of building, which gets lots of light, and they didn't have black out curtains or shades so I had to draped a blanket over blinds […] to keep room dark to sleep in a little. Otherwise you may be up at 6 am or earlier, but if you are a morning person that may not bother you. We just loved it overall! Also love the fact you get your own BBQ on your patio. Beautiful pool, tennis and basketball courts. Also an arcade room for kids.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for kids"
Great place to go! Especially with kids! However, I found this place on Expedia and the actual name of the hotel is Wyndam Something. MY GPS couldn't get me there, and this was a problem when trying to get there! The Towels for the Pool are in your room! Under the bathroom sinks! They were very kid friendly with basketball and tennis courts, inside […] game tables, a small gym and an arcade. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Things to be aware of - Connectivity, Details"
04/07/14 Andrew W San Leandro
Spacious. Great proximity to other activities. Parking... great proximity to cars Sucky: Only two buildings had nice views: "L" & "M"... please check. Other views are nil. Verizon Wireless... No 3G/4G access. Period... Voice works. AT&T Wireless Works 3G... Tethering / hotspot works 3G only. Voice OK Worldmark charges for WiFi.. ridiculous. Beds very firm... As we checked out, they informed us that a topper was available upon request. to soften bed. When I say firm.. I mean HARD. TP.. thin, rough... recommend bringing your own soft stuff or your heinie will be in some pain. Trash cans: only one under kitchen sink, and a tiny one for the bathroom.. None for the bedroom. HVAC... old style thermostats... Need constant adjusting... not very responsive.. it was always getting way too warm or cold... not balanced distribution. Furniture... Industrial strength, durable fabrics... but not necessarily comfortable.. like all WM properties relatively uncomfortable... Including seating around dining table. in 1 BR units... ONE bath ... no private bath for master BR, or private access. Clientele: Most WM customers seem to be more "value-oriented" than sociable... You won't find the genteel crowd who value finer, polite interaction. YMMV... Like all WM properties.. local kids (teens, young adults) sneak in to the Spa at night with their foul language... These are not WM customers... Happens all over.
"Best time share check in ever"
Really got off to a great start greeted with a complete rundown of the area, wine tasting and a friendly staff. Rooms are large, and everything you need is in the room. Gym is marked open at 8 but if you go through the lobby you can get in early.

"Nice family resort"

I have to admit I am a world mark owner and I love it (not a salesman). This was close to our family in Sutter hill and Jackson Ca. Stayed here during Christmas holiday. Very very nice units. On top of a golf course. Clean, large pool and club house. I wish we would have spent more time there to enjoy the many insight amenities. The 2nd time we stayed there just happened to be during the Calaveras County jumping frog festival it was awesome, there was a fair, food, demolition derby, etc. what a great family event. This is a wonderful "in the forest" resort. I love it. also. Lose to local wine tasting.

This resort has an excellent location in California Gold Country. So many nifty things to see and do. WiFi didn't work for us. We could log on with a Windows netbook, but it lost connection most of the time. An i-pod couldn't connect at all so we were able to get our $16 refunded. We don't go to places like this to spend much time on-line, but we do like to check in with people and we weren't able to do that here. We went to the time share pitch. The people were nice to us, we didn't buy and they respected our decision. We got a $100 AMEX gift card that doesn't work after we got home. A scam?? It did work at the resort for renting DVDs and that's all. Most restaurants and wineries didn't take AMEX around there so this card was worthless there and when we got home. BYW, we rented four movies that seemed like they would be good, but were terrible, couldn't finish any of them. Worst selection we have ever encountered at a resort. The resort facility is dated. We don't mind dated as long as it is well-run and people are good. I would guess the age at mid-sixties as it has electric heat and electric stove in the kitchen so it all has to be expensive to operate. So we don't know how long this place will be around.
"Nice Condo until the sales pitch started"
01/14/14 Howard-from-Canton Canton, Michigan
My lady and I decided to do Angels Camp using her Time Share points. The Condo here was "OK", though the quality of the room was a below what I expected. The staff was helpful and plesant until the 'sales pitch' to buy into the WorldMark point system. We attended it to get information on what conversion of our current timeshare to point would mean... they never answered our questions. Instead they wanted to sell me a timeshare - and, when I made it clear I wasn't interesting in buying anything the salesman ratched up the pressure. I finally total him I was done and left... not a very nice way to start the vacation. Small things that were annoying. This was suppose to be a 'premire' property but they charged for WiFi in the rooms. The TV channels were very limitied - and for 2 sports fans this was a problem. There were no movie channels - but they would rent you a movie... Like I said, annoying nickel and dime items in what is suppose to be a premire property. We enjoyed Angels Camp, Murphys and all the other towns we visited. But the property was, at best, average. And it definitely did not make me want to plunk down cash to become a WorldMark owner. Just noticed Lew W's comment - yes the rooms could use better sound proofing... we could hear neighbors - luck for us they didn't party real late at night!

More buildings than some WM, no elevators, every unit has stairs. Walls & ceilings are thin. You can always hear the neighbors above, below, and beside you. I've stayed in 3 different units in the last year. The stove was faulty in all 3. Right on a great golf course. Close to Murphy's for wine tasting. It's a fabulous location. Just a little run down.
The units are super spacious, clean and very conducive to enjoying a night in with friends. The grounds are beautiful and great for walking. I didn't meet any staff member who didn't smile or have something nice to say. All in all, totally fell in love with the place. Will certainly go back if given a chance. Oh, don't miss the recreation room.

My husband and I have stayed here almost a dozen times for every occasion you can imagine. The units, both upstairs and down, are incredibly spacious. Large master bedrooms (the second floor units feature the master bedroom on their own floor!), two huge, full bathrooms, and configurations that include queen and two twins in the second bedroom make this ideal for couples traveling together as well as families. The kitchens are well-stocked, ready to cook anything and everything you might dream up (but why cook in when there are so many delicious local restaurants to try?). The fireplace is an especially homey touch, making the cold winters a bit brighter, and fall/spring animal watching from the balconies that each room has possible from almost every building. It's just around the corner from a full supermarket, both chain and local options, as well as a drug stores, fast food, and Starbucks. Murphys, CA up the road is the perfect place to spend an afternoon wine tasting and shopping (make sure to visit Milliaire, the oldest tasting room in Murphys). A little farther up is Big Trees State Park, which offers a ton of hiking and photo opportunities. In the other direction you can find Columbia State Park, an old mining town that has been well-restored and now features a variety of businesses and historical museum-type places to visit. The Summer can be quite hot, but it is never a bad time to visit and this is the perfect place to stay. The staff is always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, offering advice about the area and things to do (although, yes, they will try to sell you a timeshare). We can't wait to stay here again!

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to stay here with family members that are part of Worldmark. It was a very nice property and had everything we could ask for. We had a problem with our dishwasher and all it took was a phone call and the problem was quickly fixed by a maintenace person. Very well-managed and maintained property.
