Stayed here for two nights while in Glasgow to see a concert. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean and it was central. Would recommend this hotel to others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely boutique hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms comfortable though noisy at the front of the building. Spacious bed, Mattress comfortable but could have been a bit better! Food good. Close to shopping area, Glasgow Central Station with a beautiful Park a short walking distance away. I would be happy to stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst mattress I've ever paid to sleep on"
The two reasons I'm giving as many as 3 stars are 1) the Artto is right across the street from the Glasgow Central train station and we had an early morning train to catch and 2) the staff was very friendly. The bed was horrible, it felt like springs were sticking out everywhere. The toilet was hard to flush and harder to stop. The room was tiny; I […] had to move the table next to the bed to open the bathroom door. The street noise was loud, especially when there was activity at the construction site across the street at 9pm. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Glasgow Welcome!"
A very enjoyable experience and the reception staff were great. I was a little disappointed with the first room on the top floor but it was changed immediately to a very comfortable twin room. Breakfast was a little disappointing but it was included in the room price so not too bad. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel quiz on Wednesday...a great, welcoming […] feeling! All in all, a very good experience and I would recommend it to others! Fabulous location too! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was ok in good location, only had two small issues . 1 my room had a bus stop right outside my window. 2 Was woken up early on Sunday morning by some roadworks taking place outside as well. Apart from that it was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
what a waste of my timeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My only gripe was loud pop music in the bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ticked most of the boxes"
This hotel ticked most of the boxes for a overnight business stay - the only downside was as a slightly noisey room but given the central location it is understandable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was reasonable, good location close to central station but mattress was very cheap and not very comfortableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Single Room very poor"
Downstairs bar area, breakfast etc. perfectly OK for 3*. Staff pleasant, no complaints there. Booked as there were very few rooms available in Glasgow due to a conference. You have to be realistic about a single bedroom in a 3* hotel, but this was below the standard I expected. Very small, in attic space of the building with a sloping ceiling, a very […] average bed and mattress, walls overdue redecoration, a shower door falling off it's tracks and a television on it's last legs with a permanent disturbance on the picture. Only a Velux window, which was also broken, had to prop it open with a tray to get some air in, room was very stuffy, it would be terrible in the summer. One lift, slow but OK, stairs had buckets collecting water on two levels and building looked generally shoddy upstairs. Maybe it would be OK in a double room lower down, but never again for me, it wasn't even particularly cheap. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Plain & simple plus reasonably priced"
Appart from my room being very small and smelling of stail tobacco smoke, everything else was fine. staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel was perfect for a short stay on a budget price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only gripe I had was with the WHB in my shower room - a small, cloakroom type. Poor for general use, even worse for filling a kettle (full-size - a smaller one for a single room may have been easier).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"short stay prior to longer journey"
Very convenient to railway station. Plenty of restaurants and shops in area. Room very good for price paid. Didn't take the breakfast as had early start but bar prices were reasonableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel right in central Glasgow"
Friendly staff that were helpful with directions, clean room. Overall experience was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
Quite possibly the smaller hotel room I've ever stayed in. Too floor end of the corridor (like an evil step child) but the staff was super helpful and definitely bumped the overall experience up.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room is actually is better than what the people said from the reviews. Advantage: The hotel is just next to the train station, reasonable price. Disadvantage: There are lot of pubs next to the hotel so it will be will noisy at night, i would recommend people request to stay at the back of the hotel it would be much quieter than the front, however […] when you open the window, you will smell of Indian food coming into your room cos there are Indian restaurant just next to it. remember to bring your shower gel and shampoo to the hotel. Very good value for money. Clean and quiet rear room with view towards back court. Beds not too soft and not too hard. Full English breakfast available. Otherwise breakfast variety not overwhelming. Curry smell in breakfast room. Bumped my head against an overhead cabinet in the staircase.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very close to Central Station"
Clean and comfy room. Only stayed one night and didn't eat in the hotel as arrived late and had to leave early so can't comment on the restaurant.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good central location, suitable for short stay"
comfortable room , with a bath! Rather noisy area but it was a Friday night. Helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Current building works are a problem"
Stayed here last week. Hotel is ok, breakfast was a bit tasteless - not great quality sausages/bacon, and bread from the cheaper end of the range. Was woken at six am by excessively loud building works across the street. Not the hotels fault - but enough to put me off staying again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor condition, extremely small room, good service"
Pros: receptionist was helpful. right next to train station and city centre. Cons: room was extremely small, more like a large closet - not even enough space to hold an ironing board. Light fitting in bathroom was coming out, I could see into the ceiling space. The other light fitting wasn't working in the bathroom. Sinkholes for the wash basin came […] apart. The tiles were quite dirty with mould. The telephone buttons weren't working so couldn't contact reception from the room. Only one electric plug point which is hidden behind the TV (remote didn't work). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lumpy bed and curry breakfast - could do better"
The good - staff all courteous and welcoming - location right next to Central Station The bad - bed comprised spring coils with very little padding. Very uncomfortable night's sleep and woke with pressure rings on torso and legs (For the avoidance of doubt: I'm not overweight) Beds are what hotels are about and this is where I personally expect to […] find the clearest and most obvious investment. If I sleep well, I am always more likely to return. - breakfast service located in Indian restaurant next door - the smell of curry as you open the door is very unpleasant first thing in the morning. I decided not to have breakfast. The nearly saving graces - staff brought me some breakfast into the reception area when I pointed out the curry smell issue - although I did feel that I wasn't getting the full choice of what was on offer because I couldn't see the buffet - manager made an appropriate gesture of recognition of my poor experience via email a couple of days after my stay Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Really friendly hotel staff"
1pm. They found me a room on the 2nd floor, opposite central station. The elevator is a bit dated but that is probably due to the duel corner door structure. The room was nice, clean and warm (which scared me). The bathroom was clean, but not very practical. The shower head, the hand soap dispenser were awkward to use. Otherwise everything wonderful. Central […] station is a very loud area, and unfortunately one of the early 6.30am busses decided to start the day under my room. That wasn't really the hotel's fault so I can't blame them. The location is ideal, in the centre of Glasgow, a few minutes from the east end and a short walk to the west end. The staff were really helpful and accommodating. The hotel location is fab lovely and clean. However they had no hot water for 2 days!! I was not offered any help with this or a reduction on my stay!! The room was ok for a single person but far to small for 2 people sharing. I would stay again, but would check that they had water!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was in a great central location, nice big bed and a 24Hr bar.But the décor of the rooms was a bit dated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to city centre"
Very good stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel really central and not far from shops and restaurants. We did not have breakfast included and went to a local cafe' Libby & Livia' each morning instead. Reception bar area very pleasant a good place to meet friends on our visit. Staff very nice and helpful. Room warm and cosy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Only if you are skint or there's nowhere else left"
We only booked this hotel as we were going to be staying for one night to see a gig at Hydro and would be on the first train home in the morning. However, we booked to see another gig the next night so ended up staying 2 nights. The room was tidy but not clean. We didn't want to pull back the bed sheets for fear of what would meet us. But nothing did. Pros: Close […] to train station The shower was powerful Cons The bed was very very uncomfortable The shower was fixed to the wall at around 5ft 5" but you could take it off to hold it There was a general feeling of uncleanliness about the whole place We stayed in room 310 after asking for a quiet room away from the lift (the lift "pinged" loudly each time it reached the floor which I assume would be very noisy for those in the rooms next to it) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very clean! Enjoyed staying there."
The hotel was very clean i was impressed by how fresh it looked and smelt. It was modern and bright not dark and dingey like some hotels. "Photo's very misleading."
Rooms are very small, walls were tired, dirty and in need of being painted, bathroom floor had loose tiles and there was black mould around the edge of the bath, i couldn't keep the window open as the hotel is right next door to an indian restaurant with a constant smell of curry also very noisy even with the window shut, in view of this i decided not […] to risk the breakfast even though i had paid for it, the only thing going for this hotel is the central location. "Average stay in Glasgow"
The hotel was OK. Great location as right by the Central Train Station.Genuine Expedia guest review
i was pleasantly supprised by what i found, once inside the front door. I have passed this hotel many times and thought it was a rough and ready hotel. Well i was wrong.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice central hotel"
situated in nice central position close to shops and weatherspoons.Genuine Expedia guest review
The bed was so small that my feet hung over the end and I am not that tall! The paint had started to peel off and the room looks just horrible. Very different from the pics that I had seen online before booking!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a room on the top floor and felt like my bed was in the corridor from the amount of noise coming through the Walls from people coming and going. Other than that room was ok and it is very centrally located.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Fantastic location and good decor at reception. Some dampness in room and could have been doing with a lick of paint to cover flooding damage. Beds very comfortable. Limited tv channels. Would definitely stay again tho so more positives than negatives.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room a bit small and toilet to small had bother trying to use the mirror when shaving had to bend down and sink to small .also said breakfast was served till 9.30 Monday morning went down at 9.20 and all cleared away .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great service, shame about the bed!"
Service was excellent, staff are really pleasant and efficient. Room looked modern enough but cracked tiles and a stained mirror in the bathroom put me off. Bed was awful, very uncomfortable and almost shoved against the bathroom wall. Handy for an early train journey next morning as it is opposite Central Station but I would not stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, great location & superb staff"
My fiancé and I stayed here for 2 nights in September and it just happened to be the same weekend as the Scotland v Belgium world cup qualifier. There was a great atmosphere in the bar and the reception staff are most helpful. I read alot of review's saying that the bar did not serve alcohol. The staff were excellent! But the room was exactly what you paid for. Good for couples. Great location. But can't stress enough the friendliness of staffGenuine Expedia guest review
"A convenient location."
We were very pleased with the rooms we had booked, request a courtyard( interior) facing room, as the hotel is situated just opposite the train station. Breakfast was pricey, but it's optional and perhaps keeps the cost of the room down.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value in the heart of the city."
The staff were very friendly and I had a free pot of tea as I was a little early for check-in (which is at 3pm). There's no wi-fi in the rooms but there is wi-fi in the reception and I believe it is possible to get an ethernet cable. The room was very clean and tea/coffee facilities were in the room. As a top floor room it had a sloping ceiling so may […] not be best suited for couples or taller people. The location was very convenient but there were some vibrations occasionally as underground trains went underneath. Alcohol is not serve on the premises but the hotel is very central so it is not in iteself an issue. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Excellent location, nice friendly staff, will definitely stay here the next time I am in Glasgow.Genuine Expedia guest review
On my second stay at this hotel, my room was better, the hot water was working but there was no hair dryer in my room. There was an empty shampoo bottle from the previous guest and the "designer toiletries" left a lot to be desired and was empty in the shower The "premium" TV channels consisted of normal channels 1-5, Sky news and Asian music channel […] (good job I liked this one!).
