ST JULIEN HOTEL AND SPA - Boulder

This was my 3rd time staying at the spectacular St. Julien. A birthday celebration brought us here on this most recent occasion. The staff is excellent on all levels and more than willing to make certain any request is filled. The valet and bell service were extraordinary. The only disappointment was the hot water in the inviting soaking tub did not […] get hot. The sink water was hot, but even with only the hot handle turned, the water in the tub was barely warm. Part of the reason for the stay was to have a pre-sleep hot soak. We did let the front desk staff know this upon our departure for the next guest. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived back to the hotel from dinner and a band was in full swing in the lobby. We were concerned we would hear the music in our room. This is my second visit at St. Julien Hotel and Spa. Great service, extremely friendly staff, valet parking is very accommodating. The room and entire hotel is super clean and sanitary, stayed 4 nights this time around and everything was perfect! This hotel deserves 5+ stars. Can't wait to visit again.

St Julien is a lovely hotel with nice amenities. You can't beat the location. Went on a restaurant tour and then out for cocktails all within walking distance of the st. Julien. We only live 45 minutes away but really felt like we were on a vacation. Would highly recommend!

Whoever designed the rooms knew what they were doing. Everything is laid out the way a room should be. Separate toilet room. Good lighting in bathroom. Mirrors in room with a plug near by so if bathroom is occupied someone can dry their hair!

The St. Julien is a lovely hotel in a great location in Boulder, within walking distance to the best restaurants in town. Our room & bath were very nicely appointed, with a balcony and pretty view of the Flatirons above. The staff was extremely helpful & friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in Boulder to visit University of Colorado, so we had a lot of questions about the area, and the staff was very helpful. We were lucky enough to get a view of the Flat Irons, which is what Boulder is all about. View of Flat Irons worth the extra $. for room Needed toothpaste and toothbrush for wife. Called front desk. They said they were available at front desk. It would have been nice to have had bellhop deliver it to room instead of having to change clothes and return fighting the front desk at 10 pm

It was also jammed with bridal showers, larger parties and when we went to the dining room for breakfast on Sunday the dining room was unavailable due to yet another party. I have stayed at the St. Julien numerous times. It is the perfect location if you would like to walk to restaurants and shops downtown. The rooms are always very clean, the service is great, the hotel restaurant has delicious breakfasts, and the view of the foothills is always a bonus. Our one night stay could not have been nicer. We were able to check in early and then we were able to walk along the Boulder downtown mall. Visits to favorite shops, a lemonade on the mall and general people watching. Enjoyed the musicians with their crazy wooden instruments. The night we stayed at the hotel was perfect. Very nice attention to detail in terms of both comfort and aesthetics. Windows do open, which is huge for me. Duvet on bed was too warm. Having a regular blanket available in the closet would solve that. Free water, wifi and lobby newspapers felt welcoming. Professional and attentive staff. Overall excellent experience.

Everything about the hotel was beautiful and well run. The strange part is that the pool and hot tub are inside so it is not a resort where you spend the day relaxing by the pool. There is plenty of space so it doesn't make sense.

Nice location but overpriced. The beds are really soft, so if you prefer a harder mattress, look elsewhere. The tub is big enough for one person only and it was hit or miss as to whether or not the staff was helpful. The stocked minibar and snacks were also a great touch but WAY overpriced.

We loved the Julien and would stay there again but during our 3 nights there the wifi never worked. The front desk said they would have their IT guy work on it but it was never fixed. It did make things difficult when researching restaurants, hikes, and other things to do.

This Thanksgiving marks the third time we have stayed at the St. Julien. The staff from the valet, concierge, restaurant, housekeeping, front desk to the spa were all so welcoming and accomodating. If you are coming to Boulder for pleasure or for business this is by far the nicest place to stay in town. We will be back.

This is definitely a first class hotel of the class of Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. I was attending a wine tasting at Frasca's which is as good a reason as any to go. My only complaint was that I had to leave after one day.

The location of the St. Julien is great - we stayed for 2 nights and walked everywhere. A great variety of restaurants and entertainment are very close by. The windows are virtually soundproof, which is good in a city. Room service was fair - we called twice and had to leave a message on voice mail with our order. When we didn't hear back 20 minutes […] later we called again and they said they didn't get the original message.
