"Clean hotel 10 mins from Venice's main bus station"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast consisted of eggs, cold meat, cereal and fresh baked croissants. This hotel is great value! It is a 10 minute walk from the Mestre bus/train station, next door to a supermarket and close to kebab/pizza restaurants and some pubs. It is very easy to get into central Venice. There is a bus right across the street that comes every 10 mins and takes about 12 mins to get to the main bus station in Venice. It costs a little over a euro one way and you can get the ticket at the reception (along with vaporetta tickets). Keep in mind though that st.mark's square is about a 35 min walk from Piazalle Roma ( the bus station). Unless you want to lug your bags through the narrow, busy streets and (many) staircases of Venice and pay a fortune for a dump, I would recommend staying in the Mestre area and this hotel was great value for the money.

We stayed 1 night only and were very happy with the hotel. Dont forget to get you key from Hotel Luca as the Casa Dolce has no reception. The feeling of the hotel is as you were resident of Venice. We highly recommend it.

"Cramp but comfortable"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and nice, everyone was friendly, very close to mostly all the sights, but what isnt in venice right? Great restaurants nearby, and close to the vaparetto station and bus station! Only problem was, the shower head was not connected to the wall, which is like this is most European hotels, and the rooms was extremely crampt. other then that, 4 stars!

Dorsoduro is home to the great art institutions of the Gallerie dell'Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the landmark church of Santa Maria della Salute. However those who take the time to explore the area, and particularly the eastern section, will find some of Venice’s most picturesque squares and alleys. The area also benefits from the influence of the university with some lively bars and nightlife (rare in Venice).

Wonderful hotel, interesting decor, comfortable room, very friendly personnel. Location a little far from many mainsteam eateries, bars and shopping but in a quiet, quaint corner or venice. Would be great place for romantic stay.
"Wonderful hotel. A must-stay!"
The Hotel Ca Maria Adele was, without a doubt, the nicest, most well-run hotel I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival, they had our room ready four hours before check-in time. When we arrived back at the room after sight-seeing, we asked that they bring up some wine and wine glasses. The concierge said it would be about five minutes, it only took three. […] I can honestly say that is the first time I have requested room service, and received my items that fast. The attention to detail is wonderful. Also, instead of a Continental buffet style breakfast, they offered for us to take breakfast (included in the room rate) in any of the various sitting rooms or the veranda, or our room. It was truly wonderful. I would go back to Venice if only to stay in the hotel again! It is a shame that the owner does not have any other properties in other cities. Read more

"Ca Maria Adele"
First class in every respect!!!
"Fantastic!"
One of the best hotels I have stayed in ever. I have stayed in five star hotels all over the world and Ca Maria Adele is in my top 2. The room rate was similar to the rates for other hotels in Venice, but the quality far higher. It's not on the Grand Canal (which was our preference) but still close enough to get everywhere quickly. The breakfast was […] fresh, delicious and included in the room rate. The hotel staff was very helpful and cordial. Excellent, excellent hotel that I would highly recommend. Read more
"A venice gem"
Sometimes you find a hotel that is so lovely and romantic that you almost do not want to share it with the world be in fear that it will some how become too popular. The attention to detail, from the welcoming bowls of delicious gelato and cool, moist wash cloths for our faces to the lovely and intimate terrace where they serve breakfast could not have […] been better. We loved our room so much that i sought out the owner/designer to tell him.I would highly recommend this jewel of a property to anyone that wants to be out of the chaos surrounding St. Mark's square.
