Great location for downtown activities with minimal time in the room. Rooms adequate for basic needs and services. Price is right but parking is standard for Houston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely hotel in a beautiful historic building. Comfortable bed, basic but well-stocked and clean room, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. I highly recommend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and comfortable"
The room was small but provided everything I needed. The location is convenient, just a block from the light train stop on Main St.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice hotel with so-so staff"
I travel to Houston often and thought I would try a new hotel location. While the accommodations were decent (while the room was quite small, it was comfortable), the staff weren't very friendly at all and that can make or break a stay for me. Based on that alone, I will not book at this property again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful hotel and atmosphere"
Staff were prompt, courteous, and intelligent. They made you feel like you were the only guest in the hotel. Only the restaurant did not measure up to the rest. On vacation, a low-key meal for the two of us ranges $30-$60, depending on drinks. This restaurant is in that range, but the food was not at that level, and service was very bad. We sat at the […] bar, in the immediate vicinity of all the staff. They forgot things we ordered 3 times, almost immediately after they took the order. They would simply turn from us and start doing something else and we never got the items. We ordered a desert they were out of, but it took them 20 minutes to inform us they were out of it (the bar and the kitchen are an open lay out. Ten steps, sans door, from the outer most part of the bar to the cook in the kitchen, yet information traveled between the two very slowly). Emphasis: that was only the restaurant. The rest of the hotel staff were absolutely amazing. The room was wonderful, cleanliness superb. The housekeeping staff were some of the best I have seen. The front desk was prompt, courteous, warm, and informative. The valet parking was incredibly fast to get your car, very friendly, and definitely remembered you and acted like they knew you personally after the first exchange throughout the rest of the trip. Lobby was comfortable and cozy. Morning coffee service downstairs was easy to use and the quality of the coffee was very good for a hotel lobby. Near everything. I was very disappointed during my stay. The room was extremely small and dusty. We had to pay for valet service but had extended periods of waiting while trying to retrieve my car while being harrassed by vagrants asking for money. Not impressed at all...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everyone was friendly n helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was clean and well kept. There are not many options for parking in the area, but the valet and other staff were nice. Overall, a good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel staff could be more alert."
I was pleasantly surprised at the decor, location and amenities, but found the front desk to be lethargic. Even tho the valet guys were hustling, they were working against construction and poor traffic flow. Trucks parked in the valet area were of no help in getting their jobs done efficiently. I would stay there again but would want the GMs name and […] contact info prior to check in as I experienced several points of frustration from the front desk personnel. "Good price for Hotel location"
Enjoyed my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed in Comfort Inn rooms that were nicer than the suite I stayed in here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but not nice"
Good hotel good price but there's no where to park which forces you to have to pay for valet. Homeless people all around the place so watch where you walk after dark.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall a good value..."
Everything was great with one exception, the air in the room seemed stale .. and you couldn't open the window because it was a million degrees out side .. the AC worked well though ..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would return, but......."
Staff was great, rooms are tiny but it's to be expected in older hotels, restaurant had bad service, room was not cleaned very good, great downtown location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Downtown location, affordable room"
For business, this is a great hotel and the most bang for your buck in downtown Houston. Sure you can pay twice as much for an Omni or Hilton or JW Marriott but if you're in town for 1-2 nights, are you really gonna have time to be pampered or lounge by the pool?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"2 games at Minute Maid"
A nice downtown location at a reasonable price. Staff was very good - valet parking was very quick. It was about 4 tenths of a mile to Minute Maid - safe, easy walk. Near the Chase Building where you can go to the 60th floor and see the city (free). Flying Saucer sports bar about a block walk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Super convenient if going to Jones Hall, Alley Theater or Wortham Center. All are within walking distance, and the staff is very nice and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"How did HOTELS.COM miss the parking DISASTER?"
Yes, the rooms are small. But that's no big deal for me. Being downtown is great when work is downtown. HOTELS.COM dropped the ball by not mentioning the ENTIRE AREA is UNDER CONSTRUCTION ...big holes in the ground where buildings and parking lots used to be. If you don't want to dish out $20 PER DAY for "valet" parking, look elsewhere. Because the […] ONLY lot within walking distance is the hotel's private lot. This is a HOTELS.COM fail. OH... you also won't want to eat in the "bistro." I didn't know you could buy instant "creme brulee" pudding powder... $8 for a styrofoam cup of store-brand pudding with LUMPS? uh...NO. "Nice but Basic"
The room was clean but a little basic, and I had an upgraded room to a suite. My bedroom did not a TV and for me this a must; however the living room did have a nice big TV. The staff was extremely helpful, as well as the valet. The hotel was good walking distance from the convention center and ballpark. The hotel restaurant seemed nice and the food […] looked looked good although I did not there, just walked through. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved this hotel's ambience and location. Unique services, such as cold water bottle dispenser, and hallway closets stocked with extras. We were able to walk to every location, including sports venues, restaurants and Metro Rail.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking distance to downtown businesses"
I stay at this hotel frequently due to the proximity to my downtown customer but also because the room rate for downtown is very reasonable. The staff at this hotel are always very friendly and accommodating and the onsite restaurant is very convenient and the food is also good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Cheap Hotel in Downtown...."
...But I wouldn't be expecting 5 star service. Double beds, not queen beds, stand in shower only, with curtains that leak water all over the bath floor. Only two towels, only two pillows in the room. We made a reservation a month in advance of our stay. When we went to check in, they couldn't find our reservation on file. It took several minutes and […] searches before the receptionist realized that, because we had ordered a new credit card to replace the old credit card we had held the room with, they canceled our reservation without ever contacting us about it. Let me state, we did not sign on to Pre-Pay! Just Reserve! But they still canceled our reservation without communicating at all. They did still get us a room, but it was upsetting to think we could have potentially lost our planned stay over something like that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Attend an event close to downtown so this put us in walking distance. Only stayed one night, and didn't spend much time in the hotel, but the room was clean and the staff was very friendly. If I finding myself needing at staying in downtown Houston again I will definitely look up Club Quarters.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the price"
Very good apartment for the price. Rooms are small but it is still set up in a neat fashion. Beds are comfortable and windows keep all light out so you will sleep good. It is alot easier to use the valet parking so if you are staying there, be prepare to pay extra even though it is still reasonable. I enjoyed it and would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place for downtown houston"
Very nice hotel, great town car service and free espresso machine. My only qualm is that the ironing board is not in the room, but rather in the hall. That said, great place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved the building. Quick check-in and check-out. Rooms were small and cute, but we had everything we needed. Was perfect for a quick overnight stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"HUGE price for tiny room"
Quality of the room was ok but it was very small. Smallest room I had ever stayed in. Not worth the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I do not like to complain but this hotel was awful"
The photos of the rooms online make it seem like a good choice. However upon arrival I upgraded to a better room to find a stained desk chair with hair from previous guests and the cheapest bedding I have experienced in all the business traveling I do. Not to mention old carpeting from the 90s and a lack of furniture. After check in I requested a refund […] (I have never left a hotel before) and they refused because I had already checked in. Hotels.com really stepped up to help and I booked a room at the Double Tree for the same price that was a world of difference. There are good Club Quarters, but for the price do not waste your time with Club Quarters Houston. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small, but Nice for the Price"
I was drawn to the low, low rate, easy walk to George R. Brown Convention Center and the 1920's architecture. I was hoping there would be more period architecture inside but the lobby is all there is and it's fairly small (original tile, beautiful staircase, crown moldings and that's about it). Quite pretty, still. Room was very modern but small, as […] to be expected in such an old building. As with most downtown hotels parking was not free and overpriced so add that to your rate if driving. Table 7 Bistro, attached, is open on the weekends (not many places are) and offered a good variety, large portions, reasonable prices and good service. Friendly staff, some nice conveniences; a very good value. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Unique; great location; wonderful customer service"
This hotel was in immaculate condition; super clean; very unique; and their staff was wonderful. The rooms are small but laid out well. The bathrooms are updated with granite and tile. What the hotel lacks in room size, is more than made up for with a cozy lobby that includes many clusters of sitting area, free soft drinks, a chess board, business center, […] and several snack dispensers. Also there is filtered water and water bottles on every floor of the hotel. The hotel allows access to a closet for any items that a guess may need; extra pillow, blanket, etc. It's at the guest's disposal. Also, the hotel elevator requires a key card so not just anyone is roaming around. I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Avoid room 610"
Unless you want to be next to the cooking smells and loud talking at 6am avoid room 610!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
unexpected charges when we arrived we had no idea they didn't have parking, the ac unit made noise all night, the elevator would get stuck. The rooms were very small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Requested two beds in one of three roons in my reservation, wich didn't happened, at registration they wanted to charge extra for the second bed. Parkin lot fee. I don't think it was fair. I consider it illogical. And thee rooms were tiny. Bad experience!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The toilet in our hotel room was broken. The location was convenient, but our room was very small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad at all"
The service was awesome and the restaurant downstairs was great with good food and drinks. The only complaint I had was the rooms needed an updated shower.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not a Hotel for family"
Club Quarters did not have a welcoming vibe. The staff wasn't friendly and didn't acknowledge you when you walk in. I won't be staying here . I rather pay more and feel welcomedGenuine Expedia guest review
There was 1ice machine that was in the basement, the sheet felt rough and thin like paper, my queen was actually 2 twins zippered together that left a huge crevis to fall into, and there was trash left under the bed. The location was good for my convention needs, and the food from the restaurant on the first floor was really good. But I was not happy […] with the actual hotel at all. "The location, facilities were all great."
The location was in the heart of downtown Houston and the amenities were all great.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a nice hotel located near plenty of dining, drinking, and entertainment. My boyfriend and I wanted to stay downtown for one night before seeing family but did not want to pay alot. We were able to walk to Minute Maid Park, enjoy the hotels restaurant, and go out for drinks at a bar located on the corner of the building. Staff was very helpful […] and entertaining. I left my hair curler in the car and valet was able to retrieve it for me with no fuss. It's rooms are a little smaller with a stand only shower but the room was great for the basic comfort and cleanliness of hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room and hotel were very nice. I enjoyed my stay. The only negative was that downtown Houston seemed to close around 5pm, so not much was open for restaurants, shops, etc., even on Saturday. Sunday was way worse.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was so perfect. Horse carriage ride and bars righ next them. PerfectGenuine Expedia guest review
I stayed for 1 night and I wanted to stay more nights. Because of my schedule I couldn't do that. It was very comfort hotel to me and also very convenient to go anywhere in downtown.Genuine Expedia guest review
Rooms were too small.no atm in hotel is odd but walking distance to flying saucer & house of Blues out weighed the negative aspectsGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great downtown hotel."
This was a great hotel but our shower head do not work. Of course we realized this after we were all unpacked and getting relax so we didn't want to fuss and get a new room so we took baths the whole time. Then, when we were trying to call valet to get our car pulled up front, the phone wasn't working either. Other than that, everything was great. The […] hotel restaurant was also really really good and was reasonably priced. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect economy boutique hotel for weekend stay!"
Friendly, helpful staff. Small, but nice room for the price. Nice lobby and coffee machine and drinking water machines 24/7. Have stayed there several times for one or two nights. Only problems we've had in the past were with valet parking and the bar in hotel. So....now we park our own car in a very nearby lot (cheaper) and go down the street to some […] good bars! Will continue to stay there when we need a downtown stay in Houston. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
